I had a bagel sandwich here-turkey bacon avocado-and really enjoyed it. The ingredients were very tasty and the bagel was good also. I usually buy a bag of bagels from the grocery store, but after eating the bagels here I have been ruined. Now I can only get bagels from Portland Bagel Co. The only complaint I have is that when I ordered soup, the girl behind the counter said she had already put it away for the day-they were closing in 30 mins.

This was by far the best bagel I have ever biten into in my entire life. I had a jalapeño cheese bagel with jalapeño fiesta cream cheese on it, fresh out of the oven, and I about died and went to heaven. Thank you so much for being so friendly and having the best bagel ever!

It’s all about the bagels. The service isn’t my favorite, the shop is not all that special, but when they put my little cheese and pepper bacon bagel in that paper bag and hand it to me, all is right in the world. They have some unique flavors, some classics and a handful or specialty bagels to choose from. it’s definitely worth a stop in. Prices aren’t that much higher than a chonga bagel at Starbucks, and if you check in your can get yourself a small coffee to go with your breakfast.

Quite disappointed. My bagel with not much cream cheese(cost $ 1.50 extra), came out to $ 3.20… Please look at the photo. :( Service was okay but how hard was it, to make a bagel with little cream cheese, then put in the paper bag and threw it on the counter. :( Don’t trust the star rating here… I see a lot of fake accounts. :( Oh well, another one bites the dust!

The best bagels ever! :) The bagels were fresh and the Vanilla Nut coffee just right. The lady who waited on me was nice & friendly. Fast service as well. I was in town for a week and I’m sad I found them on my last day.

I was unimpressed with breakfast here. True, it was more like lunch time on a Saturday, but they were out of a lot of bagels and other pastries. The experience started out weird when we saw the huge anniversary banner that was over a year old. The windows were all fogged up contributing to the strange atmosphere. The décor was okay — it seemed to be aiming for homey, but with Christmas/winter decorations still up in February it seemed rather strange. The food itself was just okay. I don’t even really remember what we ate, but it was not awesome. I think we had breakfast sandwiches on bagels or some such. I should have been more leary when I found out my 10-year-old cousin doesn’t like the asiago bagels here. The cheese ends up mostly in a crusty puddle in the hole rather than being baked into the actual bagel itself. I won’t be returning, even for take out. The bagels are just not good. I’d rather eat a Franz bagel, actually.

I wrote my review of Portland Bagel in Tigard almost a year ago. My husband and I are still very happy with the service and the bagels. When our family comes to visit, they always comment about how good the bagels are… we always have some in the freezer. There is one word to describe the Tigard store… yummy!!! I have now become addicted to their delicious fresh made juices! My favorite is apple, celery, carrot and spinach. I love love them!

I sauntered in here not expecting much as well, I am Jewish by birth and I thought meh — a good bagel place in Tigard. 1. They have another one in the NW2. Day old bagels are 2.99. And well, the are pretty interesting and good bagels. I wish they had sourdough, but I have yet to find that in PDX but the garlic and asagio so far have been fresh and yum even at a day old. PS Can pawn them off on my coworkers and they would never know they were from your mama’s day old bread section!

My fiancée and I tried this place out to see if it really lives up to the 5-star hype. I am happy to report that it does. If you’ve never had a fresh-made bagel, especially from this place, you should try it even if you’re not big on bagels… it is completely different from your dry, blah, store-bought bagel. I got the egg/cheddar/peppered bacon sandwich on a jalapeño jack bagel. On the Dank Scale that is a complete dankout. They are quite good at putting together a soy latte, too. The place is clean, fast and friendly. I like the blackboard tables with chalk provided, although I did not use them(except to eat on). And the prices are really good… I picked up a bag of day-old bagels(9 of them) for $ 3. Are you kidding? There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Woohoo! As dank as it gets!

So, we were looking for a new breakfast place this morning. Who to consult. Well, Unilocal of course. We searched in the immediate vicinity and found the Portland Bagel Company. Located just across the freeway from the Washington Square Mall it’s tucked into a small strip mall next to a bridal shop(too bad that wasn’t open until later). Cute décor, see the pics that someone else posted. Any fun tables with chalkboard finish complete with chalk on the table to use. On this occasion we didn’t draw but we definitely reserve the right to in the future. One of the things we consistently kept coming back to on Unilocal about this place is almost everyone had a 5 star review. That normally doesn’t happen usually there are a few unhappy types. This place was the exception, which is why we thought it good to give it a whirl. I had the egg, cheddar and bacon sandwich on a tomato pesto bagel. Oh so good. We picked up an assorted bag of day old bagels for $ 3. I think there was about 9 of them in there. Later that night we grilled salmon burger patties and used some of the bagels for buns. They totally made the salmon burgers. Open early enough each day to pick up something on your way to work or church. Ten percent off if you bring in your church news letter on Sunday or Monday. They cater events too. I’ll definitely be back again.

Thank you, Portland Bagel Company, for opening up shop out this way! I stopped in this morning to satisfy my craving for bagels. They have such a great assortment! We got a bakers dozen of mixed bagels and a few containers of flavored cream cheese(mixed Oregon berry, sundried tomato pesto and garlic chive) to take home, along with some to eat there. I tried the bacon and cheese topped bagel as a sandwich with egg, sausage and cheese. My husband had the parmesan herb bagel with garlic chive cream cheese and the cinnamon crunch with vanilla bean cream cheese. Some of the tastiest bagels you can find around here! They put Noah’s to shame. Their sandwich menu looks fantastic! I’ll have to come back for lunch sometime. They also have fresh squeezed orange, apple and carrot juices, along with lots of Nantucket Nectars to choose from. There’s some toys for the little ones, a box of various board games to play, 2 chalk board tables and the other tables all have a little selection of magazines. The electric fireplace adds a nice touch. I’m so glad I searched«bagels» this morning on Unilocal

I come here for lunch at least once a week. I have thoroughly enjoyed every bagel sandwich I have had(even today’s tuna, which had only a hint of the actual fish in it). The sandwiches come with a side(I get the pesto pasta salad) and currently a free drink(tea or soda). A great find in a hard to notice location.

My Dad loved this place so much he packed up a dozen bagels and took them back to Connecticut on the plane. Of course, he and my mother ate most of them. Luckily, he froze one for me because they were sooo good and he wanted to share with his only daughter. My Tillamook Cheddar bagel was excellent, and I am definitely visiting next time I’m in Portland. My Dad’s not a Unilocaler, but he is standing over me as I type this review. He says there are comfy chairs, a fireplace, delicious coffee drinks, and creative sandwiches. April 2011… Finally made it to Portland and PBC. Wow, just wow. Cheddar bacon bagel with egg and cheese was awesome, and my bf got the tomato basil bagel. We took a bunch back to his sisters and they were still delicious that night and the next day too. I couldn’t believe there were so many varieties of bagels and the veggie cream cheese was incredible!!!

Eggnog latte and an everything bagel! Can’t beat the day old pastries for a dollar… still delicious! I am going to give this one a 5-Star rating. Here is why: I am a HUGE fan of small businesses. They don’t have to be trendy, or socompletelydifferentfromtherestoftheworld for me to like them, but they do need to be good. Living in Tigard, I have seen some small businesses come and go. Sometimes we blame the economy, sometimes the location. I know I am not the only person who likes to frequent non-chain establishments, so I hope more people will check this place out. I have driven by it almost daily since it opened. Unfortunately I am a tad lactose intolerant so a latte and a bagel with cream cheese does me no good. Having said that(admitted that to people who probably don’t want to know!), I still occasionally indulge because, quite frankly, I love bagels and cream cheese. I would eat them every day if I could. And December screams for eggnog lattes, so I thought today would be a good day for that. The gal working behind the counter was really nice, friendly, answered my questions, and was very genuine. I like that! The latte was very good, nice and eggnog-y without being too eggnogg-y. Which means they used real eggnog, and not the nasty eggnog syrup. The everything bagel was delicious and it had just the right amount of cream cheese. I also picked up two day old pastries($ 1 each) to try later. The chocolate croissant was really good! I love chocolate and I love croissants, but I don’t really crave them together. This one was worth indulging in. The other day old was a cherry cream cheese pastry that I will have for breakfast tomorrow. There is a sign that says all their goodies are made fresh daily, but the day olds were a nice way to do some extra taste testing! When this place opened I thought it would be perfect… If I were able(again…darn lactose!) this would be a perfect step in my morning commute. Right next to the freeway entrance, quick and simple to get in and out and on your way. So what I want to know is this… why do people go to the bagel chain when they can stop at the local bagel shop instead? Try it, I think you will like it!
