I’ve never had a bad meal here. Or left hungry. Excellent food, reasonable prices, great service. Love their homemade corned beef hash and eggs breakfast. You can never go wrong with whatever they have as a daily special.

Is there any lower star than one? I visited Miller’s Homestead on Saturday 12÷26÷15 around 9:45AM. I get there and it is packed outside the door. It is raining and there is no where else to go besides to stand in the rain. 25 minutes later, I finally hear my name of 2. It took 25 minutes to find 2 seats? We sit down and order. While we were waiting, the waiter drops the vanilla syrup while walking by and it splashes all over my jacket, pants, and shoes. Jacket– $ 225, Pants– $ 100, Shoes– $ 150. The food was mediocre and the waiters had nothing to say about it. One said sorry and the other one tried giving me a towel they wipe the tables with that smelled like bleach. Oh along with that, the food took another 20 minutes to come out. There was little kids crying and everything. It was awful, will never go back to this location again. I am disappointed that my Saturday morning was ruined cause my $ 150 shoes had been splashed with syrup, but my wool Patagonia jacket was completely ruined with the whole left side covered in dots of syrup. They had nothing else to say besides sorry, what classy service.

I love this kind of old-fashioned down home place. Ironic that an out-of-towner(much love to Tam F.) reminded me to give this ‘been around forever’ place a try. It is easy to overlook Miller’s with all the shiny new options in the area. But, on a cold winter’s day it really hit the spot for every member of my family. The star of the show was Mr. K’s open-faced turkey sandwich with all the fixings. I had a sandwich(nothing spectacular) and my youngest cleaned his plate after ordering what I call a ‘lumberjack breakfast’ — 4 strips of bacon, 2 eggs and 3 pancakes. Teenage boys can really put it away! Prices were reasonable, service was sweet and they have a TV in the dining area so we could watch a game. The entire environment feels like you are stepping back in time with a hodge-podge of antiques for sale in the entry. The building itself is a wood cabin next to Stars Cabaret and dwarfed by the large Carl’s Jr. sign. A Conestoga covered wagon is out front and some of the chairs inside have carved wood backs to continue the pioneer theme. Miller’s is a nice option for a laid-back meal and it was lovely to relax here after facing the crowds at the mall. Sometimes slow-and-steady wins the race.

My favorite breakfast place in the world. When you ask for crispy bacon they give you crispy bacon. And I don’t usually like pancakes but they’re perfect here. I wish they sold the vanilla syrup because I’d buy bottles of it to take home! I live in the Bay Area now and haven’t found a breakfast place that even comes close to millers. I always make sure I make it back here every time I am back in Oregon.

Well where to start, first of all there are many great places to eat in the greater Portland area unfortunately this was not one of them. We are from out of the area and our host took us here because they have had good meals here in the past. We were there on 12÷12÷15. My meal was two eggs with hash browns, toast &2 pcs of bacon, pretty basic but the meal was barely warm, the bacon was limp and you could see where the fat started to get cold enough that you could see the fat turn that pale grey color when bacon fat gets cold, my eggs and hash browns were cold too, I ordered wheat toast and that was cold as well, and the bread was so stale that I broke the pieces apart like you would a saltine cracker and the bread was so cold that the margarine didn’t even melt.

EXCELLENT !!! If I could rate with more stars I would. Food was by far the best I have had in a long time. Atmosphere is great. Very friendly staff. comfortable seating. I had 2 french toast scrambled eggs with cheese. Eggs were perfect and the French Toast melts in your mouth.

The breakfast menu is very good, I never eat pancakes but when I do it will be here, the vanilla syrup is awesome and the prices are fair

Best breakfast I have ever had. We ordered bacon, corned beef hash, eggs Benedict(both), stuffed hash browns, and their patented pancakes were all awesome.

Visited Miller’s Homestead on a Saturday morning and as we walked to the front door overheard people leaving talking about how great their meal was. Always a good sign. Walked in and wrote our name down on the waiting list, the wait area was full: also a good sign. The wait wasn’t too long considering how busy the place looked. They have a cute hanging bench out side to sit in which made waiting less boring. That coupled with the beautiful crisp weather was great. The menu had lots of choices but the first thing that stuck out to me and my cousin was the chicken fried steak. It’s labeled as their best seller and sounded amazing so we both ended up getting it. We were not disappointed. It was delicious and a good amount of food. Would highly recommend it. Our waitress seemed like one of the only ones working on the side we sat in but she was still cheerful and polite regardless of how crazy busy she was. Will be recommending this place to many others, it was delicious and service was great!

Millers has consistently good food in a relaxing environment. The staff is friendly and inviting. There is always room for more in the expansive dining room. Seems like a good place to throw a viewing party.

Great food… great service. just visiting from Los Angeles on business, staying at hotel next door. Though I would try nice ’ home cooking’ place. Has some good family history So glad to find a nice local owned restaurant were food is great, service is too. Also very reasonable priced. Want a good meal and good price, I would suggest here.

Our server was very nice and even split our plates as we shared a large chicken fried steak with all the breakfast sides. The food tasted ok and the décor and overall vibe of the place seemed like it was dated and had seen better days. We had been wanting to try this place for some time now but the overall experience wasn’t enticing enough for us to consider returning any time soon. It’s about as good as any old Denny’s.

Took the kids here for the first time today. Quick to get seating, the host was very efficient with drinks and hot cocoa for the kids. I ordered the Denver omelette with bacon instead of ham. The kids got French toast and chocolate chip pancakes off of the kids menu. Pancakes were a good size, 5 of them for kids. Topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. French toast was one slice of bread with two pieces of bacon. My daughter was still hungry after her French toast but the chocolate chip pancakes could not be finished. My omelette came with ham but before he could set the plate down, he took it back to the kitchen and gave me my hash browns and toast. The new omelette was in front of me within 5 minutes. All in all, great service and food. Not sure that my omelette was worth $ 11, but it was pretty good.(Too small). My only complaint was that there were a lot of flies that we had to keep batting off of our food. Will most likely go again.

We tried Homestead for the first time tonight on a friends’ recommendation. And we weren’t disappointed. My wife had the southern fried chicken dinner, including mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. It was all good and plentiful. In fact, she had to bring some of it home. The unasked for cheesy bread app and ice cream desert were nice touches. I had the breakfast chicken fried steak and eggs, stuffed hash browns, and toast. While not the biggest, the chicken fried steak was one of the better ones I’ve had. The stuffed browns were another $ 2.00 and worth every penny. The OE eggs were perfect. I have seen some reviewers complaining about service and all I can say is that everyone we encountered was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. I am hard-pressed to find fault with anything, hence 5 stars. We plan to go back and highly recommend Miller’s Homestead to anyone looking for good comfort food.

I came here in a group of 6 as soon as they opened on a week day. The servers were very friendly and the ambience of the place is great! Our server did forget an extra order of bacon for someone in our group, but she was a sweetheart so we didn’t make a deal about it. I ordered the loco moco which I thought was a bit bland(reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5) but I had a few bites of some banana pancakes from some leftovers on the table and they were very yummy

Great down-home breakfast food. As good, or better than, any diner in the area. The reason for the 5-start review is the service. We got there on a busy Sunday morning. After sitting down for about 5 minutes with a fidgety toddler, a server– WHOWASN’T EVENOURSERVER– walked over with a little plate of sliced fruit and crackers and dropped it off in front of my son. She said: «I know how tough it can be with little ones.» My heart just about exploded!!! Not only did this amazing human being notice my struggle with keeping a hungry 2-year old from contorting in my arms and flinging my hair around– but she took it up on herself to make our dining experience that much more pleasant when it wasn’t her responsibility and it wasn’t going to earn her a tip. My son devoured the snacks and was happily occupied till breakfast arrived. For that kind gesture, they have won loyal customers in us for life!

Cliff notes version: Food OK Location great Ambiance 80’s getting old. Staff super nice! Parking easy I do enjoy the good old fashioned family owned little restaurants. This one is set in the ’80’s, with old school antiques and quirky signs… Remodel? some day… The food is large portion comfort food. The chicken fried steak is so big you can’t eat it all. I enjoyed breakfast this week as well and was able to order ala cart to get it exactly the way I wanted. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy just like my mom used to make them! So the best part is the staff. The same lady has been there forever! In talking with her, she was from nearby Gervias and grew up in Oregon. She is all over the room like the flash! she takes care of everyone very quickly. Her service level is better than most high end restaurants.

We were six hungry bastards coming from Los Angeles. Heavy breakfast but worth it. we had Millers chicken wrap, Oregon Trail burger, Spanish Omelette, chocolate chip pancakes and Spanish Omelette. All were under $ 15 each. Keep it up.
