This review would have been a four or five except the food wasn’t hot enough. We had pulled pork plate with baked beans and potatoe salad, brunswick stew and cole slaw. Everything tasted good but the meat, beans and stew weren’t hot. My husband loved the gold sauce and the baked beans had a unique cinnamon taste.

Looks like fast food joint and you order at the counter, have a seat and the magic happens. Tried the pulled pork, ribs and«wings». Pulled pork was good and not too smoky. Ribs amazing, meaty and full of flavor. Chicken wings were not wings but breaded nuggets. However the nuggets were real chicken and not pressed fake chicken. Bbq sauces x 4 and tried 3(sweet, signature and gold). Sweet was good, signature was great but a little on the runny side and gold was a full on mustard sauce. Side of Mac and cheese a bit bland but comforting after a long road trip, cole slaw and bbq beans were on point. Counter staff and busers were friendly and welcoming. YUM!

Traveling between Tampa and Atlanta, stayed overnight in Tifton. Pulled pork was OK, not anything special. French fries were cold, I returned them and the replacements were fresh and hot. Cole slaw had a ton of sugar, really sweet but good. They need to learn how to keep food HOT, before someone gets sick. Room temperature food is dangerous. Can only give three stars for being fair, nothing special.

There are some great things about this place. The smoked chicken was tender and delicious and the stew was super thick and tasty. However, the rest of the items we tried were just okay. The chicken fingers were just average and the beans were lacking flavor. The most disappointing item we tried was the mac n cheese. It was just a pasty mess lacking any real cheese flavor.

Food was average. The genius of a good sandwich is all in how it comes together. Proportion is everything. There is waaayyyyy to much sweet creamy slaw. To the point that I had no idea if the pulled pork was good or not. Fries were mushy. My advice… less slaw, more spice, and grill the whole sandwich. Cold slaw plopped on the meat and then the toast just wasn’t good. I really wanted to like this place.

I was in town, for a family reunion, and picked up an order for the event. The food was a big hit. I can’t review the ribs because they were all eaten before I had a chance to try them. Lol. The pulled pork was awesome. One family member said the the chicken was the best they had ever had. The staff is great. Overall, it was just a great experience.

Passing through from Atlanta to Orlando and stopped to get gas at the Flash Foods which was greatly priced at $ 2.27/gallon for regular unleaded. Drove a little ways down looking for something to eat and found Hog n Bones near Walmart and Lowe’s. The place was hoppin so we figured they had to be good. Staff was super friendly. Plenty of locals seem to frequent it because a lot of the customers knew the staff. 100% State Health Inspection rating! Pulled pork was Delish, coleslaw was Yummy, tater salad(aka potato salad) was Very Yummy, French fries were crispy on the outside and soft/yummy on the inside. The self serve drink and condiments area was clean and nicely organized. Waited about 2 mins to get a table because the place was packed. As soon as a table came available one of the staff cleared and cleaned it almost instantaneously. Food was brought to our table about 3 mins later and we were in hog heaven because the food was that good! The restrooms were very clean! Wow, the whole place is a Must stop for travelers. Locals already know!

Best place to eat poorly in Tifton for breakfast. Cheap, but the hidden cost is congestive heart failure in 30 years.

Passing through Georgia on the way to Tampa, we stopped overnight in Tifton. The Hog-N-Bones was recommended to us and, since we hadn’t stopped in there before, we decided to try it out. I was somewhat surprised to see a «fast food» style operation. I had expected a full sit down restaurant. No big deal. The prices were commensurate with the ordering at the counter and having your meal brought to you. I had the Ribs, baked beans, and bottle neck fries. The ribs were plenty, slightly over salted a bit. But ok for my taste. The baked bean had striped of pulled pork in them. Not bad. The bottle neck fired were pretty good. All in all, not a bad meal for the price. A server came by to drop off the meals and one time more just to see if everything was okay. The ‘Gold” BBQ sauce was delicious. Used it on both the ribs and fries. Would I return: probably.

Hospitable even late in the evening. Great BBQ sandwich. The young lady at the order register made great recommendations to us, including ordering the onion petals. Service could be better. Only negative was we were asked how much we wanted to tip the«server» & we gave an amount then we didn’t even see the server. Someone brought our food to us, walked away & never asked if we needed anything so of course we did not give a ghost our tip !

Decent BBQ and sides. The baskets are a good value with meat and two sides. My hubby got the quarter chicken and the meat was flavorful and VERY moist. Our daughter and I got pulled pork and while not as good as what the hubby cooks on our smoker at home, it was quick and easy. We liked all of their sauces and having squeeze bottles of each on the table is nice. Attentive staff cycled by our table every few minutes asking if everything was good.

Whenever I try a new Bar-B-Q stop, I never get the pulled pork. Let’s face it, pulled pork is easy, anyone can do it. I always test new places on their ribs and chicken. This place is a winner. Both the ribs and chicken were excellent. The ribs were just a bit too tender for me because I like a little more texture than most people. The chicken was outstanding, it has great flavor! Their stew is a bit different than the standard recipe but it is really, really good. 5 stars for me!

Ribs were way too salty. Not sure if the were smoked or just too much salt in the rub, but no matter, they were way over salted. Ice tea needs fresh lemon slices and all they offered was lemon juice packets. French fries were the frozen mass produced variety. Chicken and pulled pork was nothing to write home about. I will not go back and can’t recommend. BBQ chicken is best served on the bone, not dried breast meat. Employees and service was excellent.

Traveling for business again and I’ve been on a local BBQ quest in each area. Asked at the hotel desk if this place had good food and the clerk said, «okay, for Waycross.» The big national chains around here didn’t interest me and the local recommendations didn’t jump out. Considering that Hog-N-Bones was about a block away, I gave it a try. I wanted more that a pulled pork sandwich. The girl at the counter recommended the ribs then quickly recommended the baked potato stuffed with pulled pork and topped with cheese. I also ordered baked beans. The food was very good. The potato was huge and there was ample amounts of pork on it and just enough cheese. The baked beans were perfect. Now I kind of want to have just a pulled pork sandwich just so I can get the full flavor of it. The staff was very nice. I felt welcome here. If you are in Waycross, bypass the chains and give this place a try.

Excellent!!! Bbq, wings, & their sauce all are so delicious! I ordered the bbq & slaw sandwich. It was so very good. We ordered a side of boneless wings. The sauce they used on the wings was also very good. Southern bbq at its best.

I’ve never been huge on southern barbecue and this didn’t sell me on it but it wasn’t half bad. The grilled chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese got rave reviews from our table. It’s a fast food vibe but nice, clean, friendly.

Not as great as everyone claims. My small pulled pork sandwich was very skimpy on the meat. Tasted like fast food not like slow cooked BBQ.
