Urbane Cafe

Very fresh food. Loved my turkey sandwich on the freshly baked bread. Their cookies are excellent too; I got one right out of the oven.

OMG!!! The food is insanely good. I love the chimichurri steak sandwich. The chocolate chip cookies are the best I ever had. After a really long hike, or anytime really, this place hits the spot.
Everything is clean and the food is fresh. People that work there are super nice!!! It’s kinda hidden but a great find.

I go to Urbane Café all the time as I work across the street. Today was extra special, because they had two Daily Specials a salad with Ahi Tuna and a sandwich with Ahi Tuna! My manager and I both got the Ahi Tuna salad and it was A+ amazing! The Ahi Tuna was perfectly seared and it came with a garlic dressing that was to die for. I really hope that Urbane continues to have Ahi Tuna. This meal really kick started my holiday weekend!

I have such a great experience each and every time I’m at Urbane. The food is always super top notch quality. Besides being delicious; the food is fresh and plentiful. I’ve gotten everything from sandwiches to salads and today I’m having a soup. It’s perfect soup, and it’s so warm and delicious. The service here is always amazing. They are friendly and attentive and very welcoming. I always really enjoy my meal and time here and try to come here as often as possible. To conclude, with the prices, you can’t beat Urbane!

Maybe because it’s a chain restraunt, it wasn’t amazing, but it was still good. I have been eating a lot healthier, so this is a place to check out for staying away from horrible fast food.
It was around lunch and kinda busy. After ypu place your order, they hand you one of the restraunt buzzers that tell your table is ready and it never buzzed. Someone brought our food out, (what’s the point of the buzzer thing then). It took about 30mins to get our food. Kinda glad my friend had 2.5hrs for lunch.
Food wise the side salad was good. The tangerines where delicious very light on the salad the dressing was a vinaigrette and taste great with the feta cheese. That turkey club sandwhich wasn’t that great. The American cheese over powered it and it was kinda soggy. Kinda disappointed that they do not have pickles or at least Cucumber, it’s a sandwhich place right.
My friend wanted to try there carrot cake. Very runny and blan.
I definitely love trying all these new places, but I am not sure I want try this place again, but will see. Might go for a salad since that was actually really good.

Wow! Tried this place on a whim for lunch. Their chicken cilantro salad with chipotle ranch was delicious!!! And that bread… Wow! Amazing! Glad I stopped in will definitely be back again to try their other menu items… Nom nom nom

Very affordable sandwiches that come with a side of salad. I got the bbq chicken and it was good. I liked the sauce, very sweet. And the chicken was pounded very thin and stacked up which is great for a sandwich. The bread was fresh and soft but tasted like nothing. The prices on fountain drinks is as low as you’ll find in a restaurant. And the staff was very friendly and gave us a free cookie after our meal. And not like a stale one that would’ve just been thrown out, it was fresh from the oven. I think they put salt on it to bring out the sweetness. Made it more unique. Overall a very nice place.

I LOVE Urbane Café. They opened up down the street from my house in Thousand Oaks and it is one of our favorite new spots. We usually opt to get a sandwich to go and bring it home. They package the sandwiches up with a nice side salad and the portions are excellent. My favorite is the Tom’s Special sandwich which is roasted chicken, corn & black bean salsa, jalapeño slaw, provolone cheese, chipotle aioli on a baked focaccia bread.

Im a big cilantro fan and the Cilantro Chicken Salad with Cilantro Vinaigrette was sensational, however the bread that came with the salad was dry and stale.
Will definitely be back.

The Mango salad with cashews, avocado, purple onion, diced mango, Jicama and cheese is fantastic. It comes with a mango infused dressing. I added chicken for a buck more 9.75 for this huge salad with a slice of their most delicious bread. I use to work 1 block away from the Ventura location ages ago and I would eat there at least once a week, this is a new or seasonal item on the menu. I use to get at the Ventura location half of a turkey panini sandwich with a side salad that had goat cheese, walnuts and pear in it. I love their salads and every time I crave one this place pops in my head. It’s the variety of salads they carry, nothing boring and sandwich’s too.

I just started interning at the massage center so urbane café has been my go to place to get a quick lunch/​dinner. I really don’t Unilocal but, I came in today and Noah at the register was so personable and friendly. He recommended the chili chicken sandwich and it was so good! All of the employees are nice and friendly but Noah stood out because of his awesome attitude and customer service:)

Southwest chicken sandwich. I have to say I was quite confused at first cause I didn’t see many people in this place. However after watching them prep the food, people need to come to this restaurant more often. They make it fresh and they even put on gloves when they give you a Togo box. Good wise. The flavor a really go well with each other. Come try this place out. You will not regret it.

Solid go-​to place for quick food with fresh made quality. I really like the chicken pesto/​sun dried tomato panini with side salad. The «Urbane» salad is also a fave… their balsamic house dressing is delicious! The only thing is they use canned mandarin oranges in their salads. Instead of something canned, I’d expect something fresher to match quality of their food.

Absolutely amazing. The service, the timing, the food, the place itself, all of it! So so goood!
*I usually always grab a chicken sandwhich. Can be BBQ, Rosemary, Pesto and it is delicious every single time!
*Location is a bit off & confusing but I would drive through center dividers if I have to, to eat here!
*Service is like a sit down dinner at the Cheesecake Factory except you don’t pay tip. Think of it this way, you almost feel bad not giving them a tip. The service is THAT good.
*Food takes about 10 minutes max. By the time you grab your Siracha sauce, beverage & napkins, the food is ready!
DO NOT HESITATE, GO TRY THIS PLACE!

Healthy menu. Sandwich with salad or salad etc. not much flavor. Bread is bland. The bread had that old spongy taste and feel. Like it had been just taken out of the plastic bag. Plastic forks and knives. Definitely a fast food place. This café has no coffee.

Really good tri tip sandwich, decent price.
lots of outdoor seating, dogs welcome, but outdoor tables are bolted down so if you have a large group you may have to sit at separate tables.

It is a good option if you stay close to urban café and are looking for a heathy sandwich. We ordered one ‘so cal sand which’ and one steak from the specials. Both were reasonably good and so is their service. For the price, I am not sure if I may visit again.

Now I have been on a diet eating salads, chicken and fish, staying away from fast food places like Carl’s Jr and Burger King
I saw Urbane Café being built from the beginning months and months ago, and it finally opened, I have tried 3 types of sandwiches so far and they were all delicious, the price is a little steep here but you get a decent sized sandwich and a salad as well, I put the salad dressing on the side because I heard that salad dressing are high in sugar, but this place seems like a healthy place to grab some good food.
I do wish their Turkey Meat had more flavor, I like my turkey like it’s thanksgiving lol
Now the meat they cut for the sandwiches are fresh sliced from an actual turkey and chicken, it’s NOT deli meat, so you get what you pay for. The staff is really friendly, I give this place 5 stars

All of the staff were fantastic — friendly, efficent, attentive, fast. The food is delicious, fresh, and a great value (sandwiches all come with a tasty side salad that is plenty to fill you up at lunchtime). I’ve previously gone to the Simi Valley location and was excited to see one more local. This is about 1 mile from me and I will definitely be walking down with my dog often (they have plenty of outdoor seating on their patio).
I highly recommend they Southwest Chicken sandwich — yum!
