if you should get a signature dog make sure to ask for easy«sauce.» They tend to over do it.

This place used to be my new favorite place. But now in the last month, corporate has removed some of their amazing signature things, including their sweet potato fries and cheese sausages. Such a shame.

Food is good and reasonable. You guys need a fun in the bathroon. The whole restaurant smelled of stones last visit to the men’s room the bathroom room are right next the to dining area and there are no working fans in the bathrooms. You add it up if you happen to be at there with unfortunate timeimgblole we were. Would love to give it another shot when you put working fans into the bathrooms.

This is a great gourmet hot dog joint. I got the Soo Veggie and I loved it, and I usually don’t even like sausage. I would definitely go there again and get the same thing. However, it took way too long! How long does it take to make a hot dog? We were there for at least an hour and we were looking for something quick. They also do not have regular plain hot dogs, so if that’s what you like you will be disappointed. The servers were very friendly and the Carmel shake was delicious– but they only have soft serve ice cream so it’s not the best for the floats.

I will admit I didn’t have a positive opinion of this place at first. I thought they only served their dogs on hawaiian buns and the result was simply too rich for me. But the owner contacted me and told me they have french rolls, so I came back, tried a chili dog on french roll, and it was really good. The corn dogs are also good. And I have faith that once I revisit the dogs I’ve tried in the past(Little Leaguer, Another Night in Bangcock) on a french roll, I’ll enjoy them a lot more.

Great place for a quick lunch! High quality ingredients used preparing great tasting food. I had the cheeseburger, it definitely will not leave you disappointed. The place is clean, the staff is super friendly and they even have beer. Highly recommend this place. Oh not to mention it’s close to the freeway.

I ordered a Fonz based on their recommendation and chili cheese tater tots for here. Both were good. While pondering what to order, I was greeted and provided with several recommendations, which I ended up having to go. The service here was friendly and considerate. This place makes a nice pit stop when going up or down the 101.

Oh man. That is all. No, but seriously… this place is great. Their chili is amazing, their burgers are fantastic, their dogs are good(if you like more«authentic» sausage instead of ultra-blended hot dogs), and their sides are great. They serve everything on hawaiian-style dinner rolls, even the dogs. The chili is flavorful and filling. Their homemade sauces are stellar. The décor is clean and interesting, but only good for casual encounters and not business or special events. Why are you reading more Unilocal reviews? Just get here and eat, already.

Wow! Took my family here, wasn’t expecting much, oh boy was I wrong! The best hot dogs in the area for sure! Everyone is friendly and chilled. Great for kids.

First visit to a Dog Haus. Plenty of food, and choices for days. Dear Hubby and I each ordered a turkey dog, adding toppings to our taste, versus a suggested combo of toppings. The buns are oversized Hawaiian bread, so sweet and fluffy, and they grill them for some body, which is a good choice. The hot dogs are humongous — extra plump. Once toppings are added, definitely reach for a knife and fork. If you tried to pick one up and eat it, you’d better be sporting a bib! Live and learn — next time I’ll ask for grilled onions instead of the caramelized ones. Taste preference, and the caramelized were rather goopy. Also, when they say«spicy brown mustard», they mean it. Am used to a tenderfoot’s(tender-tongue?) version we use at home. The quantity of toppings placed on the dogs is plentiful. I brought half my order home for tomorrow — it was that filling. DH was not impressed with his wheat beer. Said though it had a nice aroma, it didn’t taste like anything special. Very bland. $ 7 worth of bland. My salted caramel shake was tasty. Thought it a bit high at $ 4.99. Their sausage options sound amazing — for another visit. The atmosphere is dog house meets garage. Lots of wood, metal, brown, red, and grey. Industrial feel. Lots of outdoor seating for when the weather decides to warm up again.

Great food for kids who love hot dogs and burgers. Love how they use Hawaiian rolls for their bread. Plenty of seating with fast and welcoming service. Outdoor seating so you can bring your dog! Tip: Don’t forget to CHECKIN to receive 1FREELOVEBOAT with any entrée!

I love the dog haus. The first one I went to was the one in Topanga, and this one(in Thousand Oaks) is basically the same. The place is very clean. The menu is very easy to read, and I especially love that you can easily build your own. They have beef hot dogs, snap dogs, sausage dogs, corn dogs, veggie dogs, and for anyone who isn’t so into hotdogs, they also have hamburgers. I order the veggie dog with Fritos, white American cheese, and ketchup. I add Fritos because it gives the dog an excellent crunch! My BF got the chili cheese dog and it was really tasty as well. They put a ton of chili and it was pretty delicious. I LOVE that the«buns» are made of sweet Hawaiian bread rolls. Whoever thought of that idea was a freakin genius.(The hamburgers are also made with the delicious Hawaiian bread«buns»). The only thing I would say isn’t so awesome is the French fries. They’re a little too salty for my taste and a bit mushy. This place is awesome for anyone and everyone.

The good: lots of interesting toppings available for both burgers and dogs. Slider versions of burgers, hot dogs and corn dogs are cute. Veggie burgers, veggie dogs, and veggie corndogs are available. And tots, I mean, how can you go wrong? Everyone loves tater tots! The bad: everything is served on Kings Hawaiian rolls, which is the whitest of processed white breads, soft and completely devoid of any nutrition. They do offer an alternate French roll, but it would be nice if they also offered a good whole wheat bun. Also, everything we had was extremely greasy. The white bread just soaks up the grease like a sponge. If you’re looking for food that is even a little bit healthy, this is definitely not the spot for you.

You asked for it Akili so this bad boy is for you. Yep made the jump from 4.5 stars to the rarefied air of the big 5 stars and well deserved. Dog Haus is just stupid good… Seriously legit food. My(14) yr old food connoisseur and I hit the Thousand Oaks location of Dog Haus and it rocks just like all the others. I had my standby Little Mule burger which is a rock star in the burger world. My son went for the Sooo Cali which was and I quote«OMG dad this is ridiculously good» probably the best hot dog he has ever had and still talking about it days later… We decided to carbo load with the sides so Tater Tots and of course the Love Boat Fries smothered with homemade chili and topped with slaw was the ticket. Yeah that’s about 77,000 calories but were talking some serious grub here people. Big bold complex flavor profiles that compliment each other incredibly well and make your palate do somersaults. The food and business model at Dog Haus is simply put fantastic. The menu sounds fast food casual with burgers and dogs. Let me be clear people this is anything but as the atmosphere is indeed fast casual but the food is refined. Make no mistake this is destination food. Gas up Google the nearest location and get after it. Trust me Bus, train, Über, bicycle, skateboard or even a hoverboard but get your ass to Dog Haus. My favorite is the Pasadena location before UCLA Games but they all rock. BTW your welcome…

Best Hotdog and Chili Combo I’ve ever tried !! Visited on a date night with my partner and after some shopping in LA we decided to stop by Dog Haus, per Unilocal reviews. We both were feeling adventurous and decided to give this place a go! This place was clean, hip, delicious, and staff was very welcoming, we will have to make this a regular spot since we both love hamburgers and hotdogs, and the fact that’s everything is on Kings bread just makes it that much more enjoyable!

I felt I needed to share just how terrific Dog Haus is. Inventive menu, fresh made meats, sides, & bread. Wonderful customer service. I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to the owners, what nice down to earth people who truly want to hear our feedback and take it seriously. The owner told me when a new customer comes in and is having trouble figuring out what to order, he always encourages them to order the Pig & The Fig which consists of emmentaler stuffed sausage, fig & onion relish, wild arugula, whole grain mustard, & sliced almonds… He said that the initial reaction is reluctance, but he persists and that every time he’s done this the person has come back to tell him how good it was. They make the tater-tots fresh made everyday, as well as the fries, and chili. For the quality of food you get the prices are awesome. While eventually Ventura will get a Dog Haus for now I will happily be paying the T.O. Location a visit again!

Do you like In and Out Burger? If, like me, you frequent this staple establishment of California living, you’ll be pleased to know that Dog Haus offers similarly cathartic and satisfying deliciousness, but with a far more varied, high quality menu. It will now replace In and Out Burger as my weekly«cheat day» food provider. I was one of the fortunate souls invited to the Elite event and I’m extremely pleased that I broke my diet for the evening. In short, imagine a gourmet, custom made hot dog or sausage, in a buttery, lightly one-side toasted Hawaiian roll and a varied collection of sauces and garnishes to give a distinct flavor. Yes. I found it very pleasing to think about as well. It’s even better when you get to eat it. I got to try 4 hot dogs, 2 burgers and the desert which were all presented prior to eating in a proud and passionate fashion. Every one I had was my favorite until the next one. The Fonz was my favorite for Italian, pastrami-celebrating don’t-give-a-shit-about-my-diet-ness. The Thai one(can’t remember the name) was perfectly seasoned and still felt and tasted like a delicious hot dog. Their fries taste just like In and Out’s, which is eerie, but also a good sign as it probably means they use fresh potatoes and cut them in house. The tater tots were good, but I’m not a tater tot guy, so it was fries winning for me. Would like if they offered a few different sauces with the fried potato, like brown curry(and English staple with fries, and one that would work well on this side of the pond in a hot dog /sausage place). My favorite quote of the night, «Most of the flavor in ice cream comes from the fat, which reduces when you make the ice cream. So we decided to add more fat». In a world and city where«fat» is a dirty word, I was extremely happy to hear these guys care more about the integrity of the comfort food’s deliciousness, than shying from putting more delicious, buttery fat into a food. I can confirm that their ice cream-based milkshakes with a graham toast bread was perfection. I left with only two critiques /requests: 1 — Please stock bottled wine. People only drink canned wine out of curiousity then feel dirty and regretful after, especially as it usually tastes like failure. 2 — Please stock Scotch as well. It goes real good with meat on a day of not giving a shit about diet. Thank you. I love you.

Cali dog, Grand slam dog, Bangkok dog and Ava Marie were amazing! Everything was made with the sweet Hawaiian bread yum! We also enjoyed their burger sliders — that BBQ sauce! Tater tots and fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned! They even have salted caramel milk shake which is my all time favorite! I will definitely be back to taste the Tae Kwon Dog and the Hangover cause I love fried eggs and chili! Can’t wait till there is one in VENTURA! wink wink!

There is only one entrance to the parking lot. You have to enter it from TO Blvd heading away from the Oaks mall, pass the shell and the entrance is on the right. If you try from the other direction or from moorpark, then you may come across various«No U-turn» signs. Not really enough signage on Moorpark road for it, but other than that the service in the restaurant is good. Food comes out pretty fast. Tater tots and fries remain crispy even if they are drenched in chili cheese goodness. Be sure to grab some sauce next to the soda machine to spice up your meal. All in all, a pretty good value and decent food that hits the spot.

Hawaiian Rolls Fit for a King Strap a dead lion head on my shoulder and call me King of Zamunda! Because I’m here to look for my son Akeem and I’m hungry for an all American meal sized for an American family. Listen, I know what I like, and I know you know what I like, because you were trained to know what I like, but I would like to know, what do you like? I not only like Hawaiian Rolls, I could marry them if it were legal. You can pretty much put anything in a Hawaiian roll and it instantly makes it better, a hambuger, a sausage, a hot dog, a dog. Mind Blowing Combinations Sooo American more like it. Incredible American combinations of ingredients will surely put you in a food coma and make you want to work out for the next week straight just by eating it. Everything from fried eggs, chili cheese, bacon, onion rings, all that spice and nothing nice.
