I completely agree with some previous commenters… not all Starbucks are created equal, and this one is one of the good ones. I come here almost every morning during the week before work when it can be pretty busy, and the friendly, capable staff gets orders in people’s hands and keeps the line moving. They have been helpful and professional in all of my experiences. If you want coffee and you’re in the area, this is the place to go!

I really like Starbucks and rate most of them 5s unless I receive bad service consistently. Or on one occasion, I visited a Starbucks that was super filthy compared to the standard most all of have come to expect at Starbucks. This 3 star rating is a reflection of how this location is being managed. I come here before work on occasion. I prefer to go to the one off Wendy as the service is consistently better and faster. I’m not sure what the issue is here, maybe more traffic in the morning than the other places I go in Newbury or Camarillo before heading into work? Doesn’t seem like it. Could it be staffing levels aren’t appropriate? Not sure. Maybe the staff just isn’t on their game like the other locations, I can see they are working their butts off and trying hard though… So what’s the issue? Not sure, but it shouldn’t take 20 – 25 mins to order and get your coffee every time I go there. The other locations, having a similar amount of traffic, staffing levels and time frame being visited take 5 – 10 mins. Max 15. I know it seems super picky to complain about an additional 10 – 15 mins; however, I hit Starbucks every morning on the way to work. If it was a leisure stroll on Saturday, then no big deal. I need my fix and to get on my way. Maybe I should try the ordering in advance to see how that goes… I could see and hear other customers who were not happy this morning while waiting. At any rate, management should be looking to improve in this area if this location is to be up to par with other locations in the area.

Lets face it, not all Starbucks are created equal. In fact, some of them are horrible! Not the case with this store, This Starbucks is great! Hardly ever a long wait to get my drink, the staff are all friendly and competent. I’ve never had them mess up my order here. The lobby is on the small side, but there is usually always seating, there is also seating out on the patio. If you want Starbucks coffee, come here!

The barista is great — friendly, fast and accurate. My coffee is perfect. However, I also came in to relax and enjoy my drink. The gang of good olé guys are here, taking up the comfy corner(why only two leather chairs here?), ruining my morning here, so much so that I’ve taken to writing this review! They are conversing extremely loudly, as if they are the only people in here. One of them even brought his small son, who is begging his dad for some attention, but dad is too busy visiting with his buddies. Sad. Don’t come here to linger, get your drink and go.

This is a good Starbucks as Starbucks go. They all serve up the same thing so it’s the cleanliness of this particular store and the friendliness of the staff that keeps me coming back. I realize that this location doesn’t attract the crowds that the other nearby locations do. I usually stop in early(6 am) in the morning and they are always welcoming, cheerful and ready to serve, especially Courtney! It’s a great way to start the day.

This Starbucks is the closest one to my work, so I drop in from time to time to pick up a cup of wonder on the way home. The location along Newbury Road between the Ventu Park and Borchard Road exits is both easy to get to and out of the way enough to not be overcrowded. It’s also close to a Sushi restaurant, Pickles and Sharkeys if you want some great coffee to go with your food. Kohl’s isn’t far away either if you want to go shopping afterwards… The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the facilities are always very clean. This store has excellent patio seating where you can either sit facing the freeway, which gives you a great view of the Conejo Mountains and the sunsets, or between the buildings in the shade, in sight of a nice fountain. As Starbucks go, I rate this one at the top, for the great staff, lack of crowds, good service and general great vibe. It’s highly recommended!

I always have a good experience when I come here. They always get my order right and make it with TLC. I barely ever have to wait and always seem to get there when its empty. I have been to a bunch of other Starbucks and they have had long wait times and a bunch of people. I am a regular at this one and love it

This is the best Starbucks in Newbury Park. Fast and consistently good. They have 4 or 5 master baristas, and it shows. Even if they are not in the store at the time, the ready of the staff have been well trained. Its much better than the one by Ralph’s on Ventu Park road. If you’ve got to pick a Starbucks and you are in Newbury Park, this is the one.

As a recent convert to the way of the Avocado, there was only one goal for this trip to California: Eat a side of guacamole with everything. A right good goal, and an easy one. I met with my first obstacle at morning coffee. Ahead of me in line my parents ordered their usual Venti one shot latte(yes, they like a little coffee with their milk) while I fretted about my goal. Do y’all have guac lattes? Would I want one? Could I go that far in my new faith? The staff here were friendly and efficient, and even though they couldn’t make a guac latte, they didn’t seem to mind me asking. The second-choice Americano was decently strong and surprisingly flavorful.
