First off my 9 year old was very nervous about his skin testing Tanyia was so great at easing his fear. He was extremely grateful for her being so honest with everything she was going to do to him. We’ve been coming here since he was a toddler and the entire staff has been amazing.

I’m so sad to have to write a bad review for this office, but I feel the need to help anyone else out that may be thinking of going to this office. I actually had a good experience when we visited with dr. Porch for the first time in December. My son has a peanut allergy and hadn’t had testing done for over 10 years so we went for a recheck on his allergies and asthma. Each time we visited we made payment for the projected amount we would owe. When my son got his tests done they did the typical prick test on his back for various allergies that he might have. I was expecting that, but what I didn’t expect was that then they took him in another room on his own and did further testing that was very deep and very invasive. it took my breath away when he came back into the room with blood dripping down his arm from 30 different deep injection spots. I would’ve liked to have known a little more about what they planned to do ahead of time. These tests did not seem to be needed in the long run. We had already gone in for blood work to test his peanut allergy. A 3 weeks after our visit we moved up to the Sacramento area. we were in corporate housing for three months. In April I got a phone call from Coastal Allergy care asking for our new address and letting us know that we had a bill with them. I had not heard anything prior to this. They had my cell phone number but April was the first time they called us. I didn’t think much about it, gave them our address and shortly after received a bill in the mail from them. the bill was extremely high, so my first word of advice is to know what tests they’re going to run and what those are going to cost you because these were in the thousands. I made half of the payment and received a call today from a collection company saying that coastal allergy care had sent our information to collections in April. That was the same month that they had bothered to call me to even send me a bill. So forewarning that although Dr. porch was very nice, coastal allergy care does unneeded expensive testing, and when they send a bill they do not let you know that they have sent you to collections. they were aware at the time we met with them that we were moving shortly after, and that is why I gave them my cell phone number because we didn’t have a forwarding address, and they still neglected to contact me.

I saw Dr Porch-Curren and I loved my visit! The staff was friendly and the doctor was very knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to go here as well as recommend to everyone. They have pretty good appointment availability too.

Our experience with Coastal Allergy Care has been excellent! As a mother of three, I have sat in many doctors offices. This office definitely stands out. They have been prompt, friendly, and very good at explaining treatment to both me and my 11 year old daughter. Having allergy shots every week can be very scary but because my child feels so comfortable here, it hasn’t been an issue. Thank you for making our experience a great one!

Dr. Porch saved my life! In June, i was having some tightness in my chest. She told me to go get a chest x-ray right away. Los Robles Hospital also drew blood cultures which were positive. It turned out I had endocarditis which is a heart valve infection. If it had gone untreated, I probably would have died from it. Thank you, Dr. Porch for telling me to get a chest x-ray when you did. Without it, I just might not be able to write this review!

Talk about am unorganized structure and waste of time, I signed up to complete allergy shots here when i lived in the area. I received a call letting me know my vial had been mixed and it was ok for me to ‘drop in’ for a shot. i confirmed i did not need an appointment to come in and the lady confirmed i did not, she said i just needed to drop in for my shots. I dropped in and after not being acknowledged, i signed in and waited for my name to be called, approx 20 mins later my name was called. great. but then they were unable to locate my file and then after i explained i was new to their office they told me i would not be able to get a shot because the dr was not there, in fact he would not be there for another hour. they told me i could wait. really? i work too, what about some respect for my time? i told them i specifically asked when they called me if i needed an appointment and was told no. of course they were just clerical and unable to do anything about that or even apologize for the misinformation. all i was told was that i could wait another hour(making my total time there 1.5 hours) or come back on tuesday when a charge nurse would be there, but was also told the charge nurse would have to decide whether or not she wanted to give me my shot. really? why even give me the option if chances are i’d be wasting more time and gas just to potentially be turned away again. what they should have done was set me up with an appointment to make sure i am seen by the dr. horrible customer service, too bad i am stuck there as they have already prepared my vials and i have already paid $ 1000+ in testing costs.
