Food is presented well, however not much flavor. Ordered egg rolls they were so hot inside that we could not eat them, obviously microwaved. Makes me wonder if all the food is shipped in and then microwaved. Better places to go…

My family and I always order delivery and it is the best there is! They have great customer service and the man who delivers is always so sweet! Our favorite is the orange chicken and chow fun there. We have to get no onions on everything for my dad and they ALWAYS do it right. We have never been disappointed in their service or food and we absolutely love it here!

Have eaten here with friends a couple of times, and have enjoyed the Vegetable LoMein. My friends had the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, and Black Mushroom with Snow Peas. Everybody was happy, and the service was prompt and polite. Will be going back.

2 stars is being generous. I had chicken and broccoli, my wife had shrimp and broccoli. Both were pretty bad. The white sauce/​gravy stuff was terrible. Chalky, bitter, my guess would be from lots of MSG. The chicken was very chewy, like it wasnt fully cooked or maybe it wasnt chicken.

This is one of my dad’s favorite restaurants, so I have eaten here quite frequently. The food is quite bland, but it is not terrible. The customer service is awesome, and we never have to wait super long for our food. They also have nice lunch specials at decent prices. All in all, a nice place with fantastic customer service, but it does not stand out.

The quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The food was pretty flavorless and uninteresting. The beef and scallops I ordered had oddly colored beef and just a few small hard-​to-​find scallops. Would never recommend this place. Overpriced for really dreary food lacking any notable quality or pizzazz.

Great service! We were seated promptly, given water and crispy wonton chips with sweet & sour sauce. We ordered 101 beef and had ordered sizzling beef on a previous visit. Both were delicious! The waitress /​cashier lady was very attentive, even refilling water before we asked. Our food came out within ten minutes, I’d consider that pretty fast.
Overall, a great dining experience with good food. Service did slow down towards the end, but that was due to so many customers still straggling in 10 mins before closing. I would recommend this place even though it is on the pricier side compared to other nearby food places. I’ll be back to try other menu items at Chang 101.

Ordered a couple new things a couple more times, I’m a little bit pleased now that I’ve steered clear of the un-​original potstickers. I have gone on to try the combination lo mein, chow fun, a few other things. Delicious. Not too oily, well-​seasoned, and good proportion of meats to vegetables and noodles (when called for). Still love that they include basic white rice.
Mostly upping my rating, because of a snafu involving my order (granted partially my fault for ordering so late), but management handled it courteously and professionally. Luckily everything turned out fine (not going into details), but it is much appreciated that they in turn appreciate my patronage.
Still ordering just to-​go, as it is the simplest method and convenient for me. Never have to stand there waiting for my food. They have my food ready when they say it will be.
Of course, I will continue to go there for Chinese food as long as I live nearby.

When we are in the mood for Chinese, Chang 101 is the place we go. The food is is alway good, but plan on spending a while dining. They don’t move very fast and they usually don’t have more than 2 servers even on Christmas Day when it’s one of their busiest days for them. You go for the food!

But horrible service. The server had blinders on! Didn’t even watch the table!
I ordered food from three different people. They never even brought my second beer. They served my mu shu in pre made burrito style. What Chinese restaurant does that? Cheesy! It saddens me to know that i grew up with the Chens and this place is an insult to what was here before!
I will continue to order out from there but never again go into the restaurant!

BEWARE! The lady taking the order instructed me to order another item to meet their $ 30 minimum after my order totaled just $ 25. The bill came in at $ 38 meaning I spent an extra $ 13 for dumpling appetizer. The dumplings were terrible, so that was a total waste. Also the lemon chicken came in giant chunks which the crust fell right off of and was damp. We had to cut it into smaller pieces to fit on the plate, AND the chicken was poor quality (knuckley and chewey). Also the steamed rice that was supposed to be included was charged at $ 5 on the bill! My kids wouldn’t even eat the food. We are not ordering or eating there again.

I’ve been noticing a decline in the quality and authenticity of Chinese food in particular lately and was hoping that maybe this place would be different.
NOT. No jokeing… the most bland Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. Bland would never be a trait I would think of in association with Chinese food until now.

There isn’t a fantastic Chinese place in Thousand Oaks. I wish there was!
But Changs wasn’t bad. We went and there were only 3 other diners at the time. It was quiet and service was great.
The price was reasonable and you get a decent amount of food.
No full bar, beer and wine only. But they do offer larger bottles of beer.
For a nicer restaurant, I didn’t like that sodas were given to you in a can. That’s my only slight complaint!

I’d give Chang 101 2.5 stars if I could, but I’m feeling generous, so rounding up to 3. Service was good, food was meh. We had a large party and were seated quickly, servers were friendly and attentive, but the food was entirely underwhelming. Egg foo young was oversalted to the point of being inedible. The other dishes weren’t bad, but they definitely weren’t particularly good, either.

Wor wonton soup (love to get a side of extra wontons) 5⁄5 best I’ve had because of all the veggies.
Mushroom and tofu (in brown sauce) 4⁄5
Singapore noodle good flavor. 4⁄5
Their chicken dishes are also spot on.
Not a fan of their spring rolls (I’ve had better)

This is such a great place! My husband and I love it! We are here at least once a week, service is great and so is the food! To go portions are huge! As well as eat in! Over all a great place!
You must have the lemon fish, it is so good and flavorful as well as the shanghai style noodles.
