An hour and 20 minutes for delivery and what I received was 1⁄3 of the size that I get from Newbury Park Ameci’s. Sauce was watery, dough kind of rubbery and a lot of odd spice added to the ricotta. Lesson learned — never again.

We don’t live close by to this Ameci’s anymore so we’re always excited when we can stop by. We went a couple of weeks ago for lunch. We like to sit down because we get pizza dough breadsticks and marinara dipping sauce. I have to say, we were so disappointed this time. The restaurant was totally empty, at lunch time on a weekday — pretty sad. We sat down at a table and ordered a one pizza, one salad and an order of cheese ravioli and some drinks for the 3 of us. The breadsticks were nearly too hard to eat. The food was okay, not outstanding. And, the bill came to nearly $ 40 for lunch! Ridiculous! The thing that bothered me the most was, a dear elderly lady came in and ordered«to go». She had a coupon. She sat in the booth next to us until her order was ready. When it was ready, she asked if she could just eat it there. The manager told her no, as the coupon was for take out only. We were the ONLY customers in the place! If it had been busy, I could’ve seen the justification. But, really?!? She couldn’t sit down to eat because the coupon was for take out only! I doubt she’ll be back! And, I’m not sure I will be either! It’s far too expensive for what you get. This used to be one of the reasonably priced places. I can get far better tasting Italian food somewhere else for that price! And, better customer service too. Sad…

I have had it with this place. I’ve ordered from them for years while watching their prices go through the roof. They charge for delivery, then there’s the tip, then there’s the pizza roughly at $ 20 or more, much more than great Costco pizza. But what really irks is they just can’t get an order correct. Today for the SECOND time I ordered a pizza with basil on it and for the SECOND time the pizza arrived cheese, without basil. What we got was a plain cheese pizza. On top of this nonsense, my friend ordered zucchini and ranch dressing, she asked for an extra ranch dressing… for that small cup, the size of a salsa cup at Rubio’s, she was charged $.99. Wow. Had we known the ranch dressing was so dear, it would not have been something we would have asked for. But back to the pizza. The last time they completely failed to put the topping I ordered on the pizza, they had a delivery person drive out to my property a second time, and pass a plastic bag with basil in it through my gate! What happened to baking the pizza with the topping on it? This time, I had had enough and said I wanted my money back, as when in a restaurant and the wrong food is delivered to your table, one does not expect to pay for that. Vince, or whatever the owner’s name is, said«I can’t do that». What? I’m supposed to pay for a dinner item that I didn’t order? Just a few minutes ago, another pizza was delivered from Ameci’s. I was told that this pizza would have basil on it. But at this point, I don’t want it. Our dinner is over, it was delivered once again incorrectly, my stomach hurts from agitation as I have company at my home and the dinner was a disaster because of Ameci’s. When the order is a pizza with basil and you can’t get the basil on it, there’s a problem. I’m not a difficult customer to deal with, I just asked for pizza with a basil topping. Too difficult for Ameci’s. Ick.

Pizza was not cooked. Barely had any toppings on it and they charged 99 cents for a side of ranch the size of a quarter. Its a shame because I used to love this place but won’t be ordering from there again.

How does this place stay open? My friend and I ate lunch there today. Dried up bagged salad, cheap nasty pizza. The crust is like cardboard. One of the all time worst lunches of my life. My friend agreed. I couldn’t eat it.

Craving Pizza and I often order from Ameci’s Newbury Park from my office and the Pizza is so good. So tonight I ordered from Thousand Oaks because they deliver to my house. So Terrible and more expensive. First they got the order wrong on both our pizza and the cheese bread sticks I ordered. Then the pizza is just ok. Ate 1 piece and I’m done. I did call to notify them about the problems with our order and the manger offered me 15% off my next order. Honestly, I’d rather drive to pick– up from Newbury Park location or order Toppers. I really do find it strange that the two locations are so different in price and product.

Ok it’s been at least 3 or 4 years since we have ordered or eaten in at this location. Now we remember why. We order a medium pizza ½ barbecue chicken and ½ margarite and a small antipasto salad. Does the management or staff taste the food they are making. The pizza was extremely greasy or oily as if they added oil to it and the margarite side was tastless. The salad was absolutely flat with their house Italian dressing. We piched the entire meal after we tried both sides of the pizza and salad.

I ordered two jumbo sized pizzas and three ranch cups for a total of 27 dollars. Their«jumbo» sized pizzas are the equivalent to a large sized pizza anywhere else so… nothing special at all. The pizza temperature was barely warm at best. The most irritating part was that they charge $ 1 for a 2oz ranch cup… really?! I would have been better off going down the street to Costco where the pizzas are bigger and cheaper. Oh and I could buy a whole bottles worth of ranch dressing for the $ 3 I wasted for Ameci’s stingy portion of ranch dressing! By the way, the bald manager is a jerk. So, if you feel like getting ripped off for mediocre food then this is the place for you

We order take-out from Ameci in TO once a week for 18 mos unless we’re out of town, and the only negative thing I have to say is my waist-line has expanded. Literally, we eat their pizza almost once a week, and every time it’s been consistently delicious with plentiful toppings. We occasionally get an appetizer to go along with it, or get a pasta, and they’ve all been good as well. Vinnie, the owner, has been great. I even emailed him over the weekend because one of his employees, Max, had the BEST customer service phone skills, and I talk with lots of his employees when we place our weekly order. On top of great pizza at a good price, Vinnie has been very supportive of our local elementary school, hosting an annual Family Food Night for us in September the past 2 years. We really appreciate his support. He’s also offered complimentary take-out pizzas for incentive awards at our school. He’s a great member of our community. Thanks Ameci!

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. We order 1 – 2 times/month for 3 years now and pizza is always really good. Crust is delicious and chewy. Garlic cheese bread super yummy.

I am surprised regarding the quality of service at this establishment. My family and I ordered a pie for pickup, specifically a gigante pie with 3 toppings. We get the pizza home and the amount of toppings is non-existent. Cannot cover the whole pizza. My fiancée called and the manager who is working currently argued against the situation. I also am a manager in the service industry, and you never argue with a guest. It is the worse level of customer service, because that indicates the manager is doing homework the bare minimum in order to keep his superiors monitoring him. He said he would refund the $ 6.18 for each topping. If toppings are $ 2 each, they should provide a decent amount. This tells me he is willing to do the bare minimum for his guests. That level if the quality of service is the bottom of the barrel. I then decide to call. I speak to the same manager, and I explain the issue and my position, and proceeded to say that it is already taken care of. He does not even want to discuss the issue with me and is ready to conclude the phone call. After I say it is his quality of service that is lacking, he starts chuckling on the other side of the phone. Then he said he will only give us credit for the toppings and that it is in the ‘computer’. So when we state our name, we will be refunded or credited towards our order. The pizza was drowning in grease as well. I would not object to this if the manager handled this situation correctly. $ 30 for a jumbo pie, minimal toppings and we call the manager. All he can do is laugh. I train my employees to go above and beyond for the guest, which is where the industry is going in terms of luxury, in order To motivate the guest to come back and form a connection. There are plenty of pizza places in this area. And we crossed one off of our list. I wish this manager the best of luck, because he clearly is not the owner nor cares about his loyal customers who have been going there for 30 years. This manager will be behind the race in terms of guest retainment and service the way the world is going in terms of technology. I hope other individuals read this and realize that Amecis Is not the place to be. I will be contacting the corporate office regarding this concern as well, they need to be aware. Today I did contact the corporate office and due to the poor service, we were refunded the money. I did appreciate that and corporate does understand the need for quality service, and knows how to retain their business. Hopefully the manager is trained better and learns how to improve his service quality, since I will be continuing my business at Amecis, just not in Thousand Oaks.

Wandering the shopping center looking for something tasty and I remembered that a friend had referred me to Ameci pizza once so I stopped in here and ordered a personal pizza to go. Along with a fountain soda, my lunch was about $ 9 – 10. The guy behind the counter was polite and professional and my pizza was made promptly. The toppings seemed pretty skimpy, but the flavor was good. The restaurant was clean and had both tables and booth seating. They also had a second room that looked like it would be perfect for parties or large groups. Sodas available from the fountain, as a can, or as 2 liter bottle as well. Overall fine experience, but I like more toppings on my pizza so I probably won’t stop here again. I wouldn’t mind coming here if a friend wanted to go.

Wanted some spaghetti take out on the way home from a terrible day, comfort food for me. Ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce. Spaghetti tasted metallic, was lukewarm, came with garlic bread that was cut into little strips, flat as a pancake, was almost impossible to bite or chew. Price was right but if it tastes bad?!? How can you screw up spaghetti? Even worse how can you screw up garlic bread? This is the only Italian take out in the area that I know of and it was busy so people order from them, I think more attention and care is necessary in the kitchen, get back to serving quality food not just banging out inedible food. Very disappointed, enough so to Unilocal about it.

Absolutely rudest owner I have ever encountered anywhere in my life. Called about using a coupon I had received in the mail. Asked a few questions about what the coupon entailed. Tried to order meal. As I arrived to pick it up, the total was NOT at all what the coupon had said. The owner came up and literally started yelling at us and violently shaking because he was so angry that we did not understand the coupon. Luckily, my outgoing daughter was with me and had the guts to talk back to him. The guy couldn’t control himself and eventually we just left and from that day have never and will never go back. We order from Ameci’s in newbury park now!

Wowwww. Joe, huh? What kind of business are you running? That was the worst pizza-ordering experience of my life. And you’re a grown man! You would expect such attitude from a teenager, one hating his position at the parlor … but you? Don’t bother ordering from this place. We all know the pizza is not that good, but Ameci’s is an old, local establishment — one in which I tried to support, before being dealt with so rudely on the phone. Being a resident of Thousand Oaks my whole life, it hurts to be treated so bad from the owner himself! What a bummer. :( There should be an option for No stars. This sucks!

I made the mistake of initially calling the location in Newbury Park. I tried to place an order from items that i saw on the website. I was informed they didn’t deliver that far and directed me to the Thousand Oaks location. I already had a total for delivery so i just called the location closer to me. I placed the order(1 small pizza, hot wings, a coke). The guy that answered the phone quoted an amount that literally was $ 20 over what i was quoted for the same items at the other location. I confronted him and he basically stated i was wrong. I stated that i was looking at the website, pricing, and previously got quoted a different amount but he insisted i was wrong. I even asked if there was a delivery fee but he insisted that wasnt the case. Sounded more like price gouging or laziness because 1 small pizza, wings and a coke shouldn’t cost upwards of $ 30 especially based on the pricing on the internet.
