Excellent bratwurst and sauerkraut on a roll and turkey BLTA sandwiches! They also carry a lot of European confections and German food stuffs. This is a very good place to stop by for lunch. Note that there is not much seating inside, but they do have a few tables outside on the sidewalk.

Before our hike, my hubs and I decided grab a quick bite and found this deli on Unilocal.I ordered the chicken salad sammy on wheat that came with lettuce and tomatoes(you can opt out of any extra toppings). The chicken to bread ratio was a little thin around the edges but over it was pretty good. For the cost, I don’t think I would get it again but if we come back here, I would try a sammy with actual deli meat. My hubs ordered the pastrami on wheat which tasted okay. I’m not a huge fan of pastrami or should say I hardly ever eat it. But the hubs seemed to like it and said the same about the meat to bread ratio. For two full sammies and a bag of chips, it came out to about $ 20. I really don’t think I could justify paying that much again on a sammy. Unless it was at zingermans deli.

Love the under $ 10 sandwiches, and there’s a small amount of tables inside to gorge. But there is a lot to be desired here: No pastries; no prices in the cheese or meat case; and prices of the packaged goods are way beyond expensive that makes Whole Foods look like a discount store. With all that said, because of my Germanic background, I’m always game for anything German, Sausages, or foods from the Eastern block — so this place makes me happy, nonetheless. 3.5 stars rounded up for extra nice service.

Wow… Such hospitality. Incredible meal presentation. The taste is balanced so well! I work nearby and am always looking for independent spots to grab a bite at, even if they cost a couple dollars more, so as to avoid the fast food chains. Maaan, this place is unbelievable; from the interesting shop items to the fully stocked menu! It can be tough finding parking due to traffic in the area, and maybe even a little hard to find your first time, but it is well worth discovering! The«awesome breakfast» on a croissant was perfection. –Rayce #TheLifestyleNotTheLabel

Just stopped by to get a quick bite. This place is amazing, the owner is very nice had my sandwich ready in minutes. It’s delicious: corned beef & pastrami. Their German potato salad is to die for. I’ll be coming back soon.

No matter what you get here, it’s bound to be a great quality meal. Today I got the lunch special, with Geneo Salami and Provolone. It comes with a choice of side, and I chose the pasta salad. Tip– if you ask for mayo, mustard, etc you will get a good amount; if you just want a little make sure to specify.

On our way home my husband and I stopped in for a sandwich. The place was clean and we were greeted by a very pleasant older gentleman and a younger gentleman behind the counter. We ordered a turkey on sourdough and an Italian on a roll. Sandwiches were excellent! The red onion was sliced paper thin which we love. Lettuce and tomato were very fresh. The meats fresh and tasty. Perfectly proportioned with some mustard and mayo. The bread and rolls were soft and fresh. Very fairly priced. We’re always complaining about the lack of decent eateries on our end of town. Alpine Deli is our new go to place for lunch. But not next Friday the nice gentleman reminded us as they will be closed so that they may attend the Armenian Genocide Centennial march for justice. Wow closing for business to support your cause? I think that’s awesome!

Best sandwiches in town. I always have to order two of whatever sandwich I feel like having, one for the drive home and one for when I get home. I also like all the different sweet treats and beers they have in the place. All you follwers standing in line for sub par food at eggs n things, give your taste buds something they’ll really enoy. Walk yourself 15 feet and have a delicious sandwich instead and sorry no free crepes just awesome sandwiches!

We were in the area to eat at another foodery but they were closed. Fortunately Alpine Deli was open. I ordered salmon with lox. The bagel was warm, soft and fresh. I was concerned that the lox would be sparse, but happily surprised with the generous portion. Very yummy! I would definately go back.

Several years ago, I was at a luncheon that served us sandwiches from Alpine Deli. Ever since that time, I have wanted to return and try it again. Finally, I got my chance and I was very happy that I did. This is a great little deli. They have a large selection of sandwiches to choose from and they all sound delicious. My sandwich of black forest ham with Swiss cheese and German salami was the best. It was served on rye bread that was super fresh and oh so good! It was one of the best sandwiches that I have had. I got the special that came with a drink. Yes, it was a little on the pricey side but definitely well worth it for such high quality ingredients. They also have a nice selection of German items to purchase from candies to jams and jellies to fresh meats and cheeses. They even sell«4711» which is a famous cologne from Cologne, Germany. It reminded me of the markets I visited when I was vacationing in Germany. They have a small area of seats inside and a couple of tables outside. The deli was super clean and well kept. The man at the cash register was friendly. I am looking forward to returning and trying out some of the other sandwiches. This is definitely a new favorite of mine!

I feel lucky to have grown up around the corner from this joint. Delicious sandwiches! Super friendly staff with a really nice selection of German meats and cheeses and sandwich options, not to mention craft beers and chocolates/candies. I’m a personal favorite of the Black Forest ham here. So good! *** If a fan of Alpine Deli, MUST try Benvenutti Italian Deli on Thousand Oaks Blvd. Owned and operated by the same wonderful man named George. George knows his sandwiches. Can’t recommend either place enough.***

I come here for the fresh, delicious and healthy deli sandwiches. I love their meats and cheeses and the staff has always been friendly to me. Their sandwiches are more expensive than some other local sandwich shops, but they are also much higher quality in terms of ingredients and flavor. This little shop has a nice selection of European sweets and treats, cookies and candy, making it fun to browse through while your food is being prepared.

Mediocre deli! I had needed to order lunch delivery for a work meeting and so my coworker referred me to this place. I called and was told that they were not doing delivery that day even though they had historically always delivered for my coworker. We ordered several sandwiches, 2 large salads and some drinks. The salads were actually very tasty, BUT the sandwiches were extremely mediocre and was just a thread better than subways AND they cost $ 6.99 each, way more than what Sprouts down the street charges. Not a fan!

I took a trip to Germany today. I didn’t need my passport, wasn’t on an international flight for hours to get there, nor did I have to endure the language barrier of not knowing any German. I only had to travel to Thousand Oaks, CA where they had a very clean, but little sandwich shop and where they sold over 20 kinds of sandwiches, a few soups and salads. They also had a little store where most items were from Germany, written in German, I felt like I was quickly transported to Germany. Thank goodness, they spoke English !! I got such a kick out of looking at the German food items and beers, I almost forgot the reason we went inside… to order a sandwich. My husband ordered turkey on a french roll, and I ordered turkey and roast beef on rye bread. The meats were good quality, vegetables and bread were ultra fresh, and portions were plentiful. They have a scant few tables inside(and a few outside) where one can chow down. If we’re in the area, it’s a nice new addition to our places to grab lunch.
