The Fat Shack

The food here is absolutely disgusting… I can’t wait to come back for more! Staff appeared to like the job and they were having fun. Unique menu where you can pile on anything and everything in combinations you’d never expect. Fun!

Do yourself and come to this place on an empty stomach and then get something non-​traditional from their menu (I.e. Skip the standard burger/​fries/​hot wings and get something off their sandwich selection).
The sandwich combinations are pretty wild, but they are really good. I never thought a 9″ sandwich that had a mixture of jalapeño poppers, chicken tenders, French fries, shredded beef, and honey-​jalapeño mustard sauce would taste so crazy awesome. My kids ordered some traditional stuff (burger, mac & cheese) and they said their meals were good too.
I believe this place — not sure if it was this franchise in particular — was featured on the Travel Channel, and I can see why. It’s a small venue and seating is limited, so you may want to plan on take out, but if your group is small you may be able to squeeze into their limited seating.
Definitely NOT a place to go if you’re dieting or eating Paleo, but man, their food is good!

Great personality from the staff. The food it to die for. So good! I got the fat cow. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. They never disappoint.

The guys here were amazing. They cleaned the grill for my dairy allergy kid with no hesitation. It’s not often you can find sympathetic chefs but these guys were great. They were friendly and so nice… That’s so hard to find these day. The food was also good but not the only reason we’ll come back. These boys had great customer service skills.

Love love love their food. Especially the Fat Doobie and fried macaroni triangles. Me and my dad went there spur of the moment one day and were immediately hooked, and been telling all our friends about it. Only reasons I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is for one that some of the employees can be jerks, as another review mentioned they can be short and have an attitude like you’re bothering them. A few employees were very nice. Another thing I don’t like is the small delivery area, which again they are rude about over the phone (didn’t know, sorry).

I would give 5 but as previous reviews have stated delivery area is way to small. The Fat Shack sandwich is all that and more but please expand delivery area. Late night food is hard to come by in north Denver so this place fills a void but doesn’t deliver to most of it.

My husband and I regularly stop in and have dinner with these guys. Service that never ceases to impress. Food is always fresh and delicious. Great example of how a restaurant should be ran. Thanks for the awesome experience every time guys :)

When this place was about to open up, we got a menu through the mail. Looked like something different so I was excited to try it out. The type of food is more like something you’d be craving for with the munchies or just something random. However, they do it right. It actually tastes pretty good and fairly good prices for the food, especially during lunch.
My favorite Sandwich so far is the Fat Jersey, but without a doubt the burgers are the best. They taste like a great backyard bbq burger with some good fries. Some of the deep fried stuff, like the deep fried oreos are pretty killer! Definitely one of those places that’s good to try every now and again, but don’t go too often, you might get a mini heart attack. ;)

I absolutely love Fat Shack and everything about it. I got my first sandwich from the location on University but this one is close to my house (though sadly they don’t deliver to me and it breaks my heart but my waist line is grateful) so this is where I go. I can’t even fathom getting a sandwich at another shop. I have never had a bad sandwich here. My favorite is a fat doobie. I don’t care if you think you hate honey mustard — you don’t. Get it on the sandwich you will love it. They always let me add an extra piece of chicken to my sandwich for my daughter to eat. I’ve never made it all the way through the whole regular sandwich as there is so much on it. Chicken strips, Fries, Onion Rings, and Mozzarella Sticks. It’s so good. You can only eat one every so often or you just might have a heart attack but the staff is so awesome. They are even known to sing along — loudly– to the radio. I met the owner once when I was there and he’s simply the best. Check this place out if you want the best sandwich every!
Also three words — Deep Fried Oreo’s

This is what happens when a stoner with a culinary mind gets their hands on a business license and a deep frier. If this sandwich leads to heart failure and my untimely death, it will be worth it. Cheesesteak, cheese sticks, jalapeño poppers, French fries, and onion rings in one sandwich… that’s mad… deliciously insanely mad.

Delivery time was spot on what they said or I’d give only 1 star, we ordered the fat chance and it prolly would be good if you where drunk with the munchies, we also ordered the onion rings that where soggy and greasy, the wings where just weird is all I can think to say, soggy and fatty. The total for all that was 28 $ plus tip, we won’t order again as we threw most of our order out.

My first exposure to this restaurant was driving by, seeing the name THE FAT SHACK all in red letters, and thinking to myself «I’ve gotta go there». I did my research and looked at their menu online, and got both disgusted and hungry at the same exact time. Like this place is a heart attack in sandwich form, and they don’t stray away from that at all. But that’s all part of the appeal.
I ended up getting myself just their Fat Doobie. Oh my god this thing was so solid and heavy and delicious. I could only manage to eat half of it before deciding that my arteries couldn’t handle any more. Like, how can you go wrong with french fries and chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks in a sandwich? Other than it sorta turning into a soggy mess eventually, it tasted exactly how I imagined it to be.
It’s cheap, the employees are very chill, and it’s open pretty late. That’s a combo that you can’t really go wrong with. So do yourself a favor, tell your diet to bugger off for awhile, and treat yourself to some Fat Shack. You won’t be doing your body any favors, but your taste buds will be pretty satisfied.

Ordered two Phillys at midnight. Sandwiches were delivered promptly in 25 minutes. The meat to bread ratio on the Phillys was outstanding. They were delicious. Would order here again. The fact that they stay open so late is amazing.

Pretty darn good. I ordered the wings. I expected little B-​Dub size wings so I way over-​ordered because they were more the size of chicken strips. Good value though, and very good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating when I went to pick up my order.

I was in the mood for something different tonight, but wanted to stay in the neighborhood, and remembered seeing The Fat Shack a couple of weeks ago, so I gave it a try.
The employees were very friendly and personable, and very helpful with explaining the different menu selections.
The menu looked extensive, with some of the most trippy food combinations that could possibly go inside a bun or sandwich roll available! I went with the large Fat Chance, which contained cheesesteak, cream cheese filled jalapeño poppers, chicken fingers, french fries, and yellow mustard in place of the normal buffalo sauce. Everything was great, and gotta admit, a pretty fantastic combination of foods that you wouldn’t normally think about — it didn’t even require ordering a side dish. Tried out a burger with mac and cheese bites on a repeat visit, and it was great.
I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. Recommended as a good stopoff for when the mainstream fast food outlets get boring, and it looks like they have full delivery service as well. Great food, unique concept.

NJ native here. I was stoked to see my arteries can remain at their usual clogged level with this shop opening so close to my home. The level of dankness here is as good as they come and although it is hard to match East Coast bread, they do a good job with the creations and flavor explosions that come next.
You seriously get what you pay for. Which is a lot.

I typically order Snarfs when craving sandwiches on Sundays but today I decided to try something different. I was excited by the disgustingly decadent food offered but over all I was quite disappointed. The strawberry shake was okay but small, the two sandwiches were not bad but the fried pickles were absolutely awful. I’ve never had worse in my life. They looked like hell and I could only force feed myself a couple before giving up. SO I guess you just have to ask yourself is a small shake, 2 mediocre sandwiches and the worse fried pickles ever worth 42 $? (It was 35 but the 42 includes the tip)
The employees were nice enough so there’s that.

The food was decent, but don’t advertise delivery you sham. Don’t go south of 112^th? It took me less than 7 minutes from my door at 104^th to your location.
Amateur hour… Skip it

Ordered 4 lunch combos for delivery and the total came out to be $ 35, not including tip. The part that bummed me was I didn’t quite get what I asked for, one of the 4 burgers we requested Mac and cheese on it but didn’t get. Also believe the special sauce was missing. For our drinks we were charged an additional dollar each although I thought they were included with the combo. We really didn’t want drinks either.
3* Food was good, burgers weren’t dry with decent portions of meat. Soggy fries.
3.5* delivery service, the person over the phone was friendly and informative, probably had a mixup here though. delivery speed was fast.
in the end paying more than we expected to and didn’t get what we wanted.

We ordered this today, based on the fact that they deliver. I am struggling between 3 and 4 stars, the food was pretty good, in the moment, but we all felt sick the next day from the amount of fried food!
The deep fried oreos are awesome, and the fried rice crispy treats were really good too!
My sandwich was a little bit dry, but overall, pretty good! I might eat here again, but it will take a while for me to work up to it again.
