The food was fine, but the take away and pickup is terrible. We placed an order to be ready at 7pm and when we arrived at 7:10 to pick it up we were told it would be another 20 – 25 minutes. That would be annoying by itself, but the biggest issue is our infant daughter was in the car and needed to go to sleep. I understand that sometimes restaurants get behind, but either stop accepting to go orders that are supposed to be ready at a requested time, or call people as soon as they order if it’s going to be a significantly different time than the online ordering says.

I don’t understand the poor reviews for this location. This is by far the best Pei Wei I’ve been too. I live right down the road and I order take out regularly as well as dine in. Every time I order take out it is ready exactly when they say it will be ready(if not sooner), and my order is right EVERY time even with special requests. When dining in the food always comes out fast. I usually order the Honey Seared chicken and it tastes SO much better here than any other location! I highly recommend.

Since my first review back in May, I and my friend have been back there a couple more times, including today. The food was good, as before. However, my friend ordered the large size(which costs a couple bucks more), while I ordered a small size. The server brought my friend’s order first, and immediately I saw there was a problem. When they brought my small order, I knew there was a problem! It appeared that my small order had significantly more food on it than my friend’s large one. I got the server to come back over and told him about it, but he basically said he thought it was okay, but«maybe» somebody goofed. A few minutes later, the manager came over and asked what the problem was, so we discussed it for awhile. He said they weigh the amounts, and the small is 4 ounces and the large is 7 ounces. Now, I worked for several years in the fast food industry where we also weighed portions, and as I said to him, it definitely looked to me that I had more food on my small bowl than my friend had on his«large» plate. Not to mention, that I had twice as much brown rice on mine than the white rice on my friend’s. The manager never acknowledged any of this — after all, we had already eaten half of the meals, so there was no way to compare them at that point — but said he was«sorry» that we weren’t satisfied. He then brought a plate with extra rice and entrée item for my friend who proceeded to devour it too! So, when leaving I again thanked the manager for making things right — that’s the way to «do good business»!

How to begin this review? It starts with a clueless cashier, who does not even know where the gluten free menus are. I ordered from gluten free menu, sweet and sour chicken. When it arrived it was drenched in horrible sweet sauce. So much that I asked the server to give me the same dish no sauce. A server who never even said sorry, but brings me anotget container of sauce, in case I wanted They assured me the dish was gluten free. I had my doubts. When the redone dish was served it was chicken with breading. So disgusted. My husband had spicy shrimp described mediocre. The chef had a ball cap on no beard net. There was a lady in blue shirt cooking with long stringing hair no net. We left and went to Traders Joe’s next door, where I proceeded to get sick. I have to be gluten free for a serious medical condition, and when I eat somewhere that is supposed to be safe for me it isn’t, its very serious. Needless to say, we will not be back ever again.

Not sure what’s going on at this Pei Wei recently — my visits here in the last couple of months have been disappointing. The food quality and quantity have suffered; my favorite Pei Wei spicy shrimp was not served freshly cooked and hot, fewer vegetables and shrimp(a bit tough tasting) and the rice was lukewarm. Place seems dirtier than usual with sticky floors and chairs.

Very nice young manager. Problem was gluten free meal looked like it had breading, but my son trusted the place. They set it down saying ‘gluten free’. His celiac kicked in on the way back to the car. When I notified the restaurant about the problem, they said they had a new guy in the kitchen. They should take allergy training seriously. I hate to see my son suffer!

I placed a order online for 6 items. When I went to the store I picked up my stuff and paid. At that time nothing was mentioned about my order when I got home and unpacked I saw that I was missing an item. I called them right away and he’s like we were out of spring rolls. I asked why nothing was mentioned when I picked it up. His response was you didn’t get charged for him. I said that’s fine but something should of been mentioned when I picked it up so I knew when I got home that something would be missing. His response was ummhum. Really? That’s it? No apology. Very disappointed. First time and most likely my last time at this location.

Agree with other reviews on this location has gone downhill. Ordered takeout sesame and Kung pow chicken. Both arrived with virtually no sauce. Entres were dry. Phoned in to complain and they said they’d refund me the amount of the meal. Checked visa account two weeks later and no credit. They neglected to inform me that refunds can only be done in person.

There food is decent when its cooked correctly. However on a couple recent trips there the chicken was under-cooked. Although they did give us the meal for free it was frustrating dealing with this as it consumed time while we had very little during lunch. Overall a decent place that’s why i gave them 3 stars. Just cook the food all the way please!

Ordered Kung pao shrimp — no snap peas What came out was Kung pao chicken. But… They quickly and efficiently changed it to what I ordered. Kudo’s to them. Also ordered hot and sour soup with crispy won tons. Both meals were excellent in quality and portion size I have been coming here for quite awhile and they are consistent in there operation. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. They have one of those soda machines that carry 50 different types of sodas for those of you that that are either looking for that special soda or are so confused in life that they must mix 10 of them all together. For those out there that have married such a person. Well, patience is a virtue isn’t it. Overall a great restaurant at a fair price.

Meh, about sums it up. Food was bland and boring. My «spicy» dish could have been fed to a toddler with no complaints. The server had a HUGE beard. I saw it from a distance and thought please god don’t let him handle our food, Yup he brought it too us. The whole time i kept thinking of how much of his beard was in my lunch. Needless to say i wont be back, and if your looking for Chinese, any strip mall Chinese place will be twice as good and half the price.

The food is good but they have taken a lot of my favorites off their menu, like the green beans, and they can’t seem to get to go orders right. I gave it 2 stars because twice they have forgotten to give me my lettuce for the lettuce wraps on my to go orders. I know they’re busy but twice! How do you forget a key component of LETTUCE wraps. I called the second time it happened and it’s too inconvenient to drive back to the restaurant so the manager said he would remove the charge for the lettuce wraps off my bill. Guess what? I still got charged for it. So if you do get a to go order then take everything out before you leave and double check it yourself.

So I asked the girl at the order desk to tell her manager that one of the employees didn’t wash their hands… needless to say, I know it wasn’t done, when I asked the manager if he was told about this. He said no… gross

Don’t get the pad thai from this location unless you like mushy broken noodles in weird brown sauce.

(I posted pictures by the way) We eat at PeiWei all the time and we order the same thing everytime. Pad thai for me. Mongolian beef for my husband. It’s our first in this location. We ordered the usual. Pad Thai was just bland. And doesn’t even taste like the Pad Thai from all the PeiWei we’ve been to. The noodles was soggy and short. Ugh. It was just blehk@$!#* Mongolian beef was not good. The sauce was just not coating the beef very well. Women’s bathroom was not working. All of our experience in this location was not pleasurable at all. We are not coming back to this location. I swear.

Solid Asian food experience. I can only recommend the orange beef since I like it so much it is all I order I have probably been here 6 times in the last 8 months. I order the same thing. This is a great family place to eat. They do a really high volume so there is generally a wait to order and to get your food. Even the call-ins can be slow. Depending on the night they can struggle to keep up with the dinning area.

I dig me some Pei Wei, and the wife likes it too, as well as the kiddos. The staff can be easily confused with gift certificates(this has happened twice), so be patient with them. They figured it out eventually. Good food and nice atmosphere. I love the Pei Wei Spicy with shrimp, it likes me too.

BREAKINGNEWS, The Woodlands Texas — NEW Pei Wei on Kurkendahl wins Academy Award for Best New Restaurant. In case you missed it right after Jennifer Lawerence stumbled up the stairs for her award, the Academy awarded best new Restaurant, most affiliates were at break stunned over Ms. Lawerence. In the mean time Pei Wei accepted the award, the manager Peter was wearing a Tux by Dior. They they stunned the crowd by giving out a pre-party sample of the new Dan Dan noodles with Steak. The dish was so awesome it even made Tommy Lee Jones smile. Ok enough with the shenanigans… How can this not be considered fine dining I do not know??? I have frequented the chain 6 times in 3 weeks, little brother to PF Changs, but this folks is no little brother. Wait for it Legend… DAIRY!!! In the high society and high Cuisine of The Woodlands, this new venture has done it right and brought it’s A game to make the folks from Spring to Carlton Woods Country club proud. The Family has been there 6 times since it’s opening. Yes we eat out plenty but being disabled, it is the highlight of my day sometimes. We have tried the infamous Dan Dan noodles with steak, to the abundance of fried rice, rice bowls, Pei Wei Spicy to Teriyaki Chicken. Nothing misses the mark of perfection Here is my Score Card: Food Prep — A+ must be prepped by Cordon Blue or a fine Culinary School veterans. Menu — A+ and the manager who suggested to try the Dan Dan with steak is s genius Cleanliness A+ Help — A+++++There were waitor’s helping with everything from silverware, to drink refills, and made sure our meal was fantastic. All this for non-tipping style. Thanks to Jacob and my 5’6 michigan want to be! You guys Rock A++++++++ My son and wife loved everything and best yet the cool Coke machine. This Pei Wei has a new fangled coke machine were they can make about 10 flavors of coke, 5 flavors of rootbeer and on and on… if the food was not so dog gone good, my son would go back just to have another go with the drink machine. Great job, what a treat, and what a welcome to this southwest side of The Woodlands LOVEIT will be back at least another 6 more times real soon JP
