Total Dive. Very much a smoker’s paradise. Your clothes WILL carry the bar smell with you when you leave. If you can look past this, Pat’s isn’t so bad, hence the 4 star rating. Local spot, for sure. Regulars know each other’s name, profession, sexual orientation(not joking). Even though they can spot a newbie, they welcome them all the same. Cheap drinks, quick service, and prepare for your new acquaintances to buy a round of shots :) Enjoy

I can’t really say what it was like. Didn’t go. The bartender or whomever answered the phone told me to make sure to bring ID. TO A BAR. Like i would not bring ID. she also knew nothing about the KJ. i asked how many titles he had. She replyed«plenty». When pressed she did not know. Thats when I hung up.

My favorite dive bar. Cheap drinks friendly people! Karaōke Friday and Saturday. Smoking allowed. But poorly ventilated so If you can’t handle the smoke you will not enjoy yourself. The karaōke lady, Stacey, is extremely sweet the only other hard thing is when it gets busy you really have to get the bartenders attention. Trish is fast and I like her alot. 4 pool tables and darts. Friendly atmosphere for all types.

A true dive bar with a VERY loyal crowd. 4 coin-operated pool tables with some very good players that are also fun(and one old bad loser that is not fun). VERY smoky. Great bar staff.

I grew up in The Colony and remember Pat’s Pub when it was OB’s Pub… A scary and small little place where I remember seeing men urinating outside as a child. Well, as soon as I turned 21, I decided on a bars of The Colony tour. I was already a regular at CJ’s when I tried Pat’s Pub. Man, it had changed from the day’s of OB’s and public urination. It’s MUCH bigger now. They have lots of pool tables and darts. They have a jukebox and karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights(those are the best nights to go! I love their karaōke). This is a true hole in the wall and I LOVE it. The people are friendly, it doesn’t get(TOO) rough, and they have wonderful and friendly staff and great drink specials. I truly love this place and hate that I can’t visit more often(I live in Dallas now and am moving to Austin soon). If you need a great little place that doesn’t care who you are or what brand of handbag you are carrying, you should totally visit Pat’s Pub! xo ~Melissa Ray

I journey up to The Colony, or as I loving say, «half way to Oklahoma!», on occasion. We have family that are regulars to the Friday/Saturday Karaōke and we even know the KJ, Stacey. The drinks are STRONG and if you need to get blitzed, ask ‘em for an Allie Fuck, it will get ya there! The rotation is small-ish and you will definitely get to sing several times if you dare… the selection is lacking, but they will let you bring your own disks if ya want. The regulars are friendly, and are great for people watching! Headed back for another round this weekend!

I have given my suburb-dwelling friends a hard time over the years. You know the drill…“move out the sticks” and«Is that in Oklahoma?» and so on. However, I failed to notice that the suburbs often have some really stellar dive bars, normally tucked inconspicuously away in strip malls. It shouldn’t surprise me given that what else is there to do in the ‘burbs except go to some bar and drink? So it has recently been brought to my attention that there are some pretty good dive bars located in The Colony. Pat’s Pub is one. Pat’s is not a bona fide dive like the Goat for instance, but it does have patrons that make it a bit divey. At least on Sunday night when most people are snoozing away readying themselves for work. Woah, the characters! Chatty people, rough people, drunk on Sunday night people, even missing some teeth people were located at the bar. The place is fairly large, there are a few pool tables and a lot of dart boards in the back room area of the bar, there’s a stage up front with a TV and speakers(karaōke anyone?), there’s a bar that goes most of the length of the front room, an internet jukebox, some video games, and the characters sitting at the bar. We were all drinking draft beer. It was cheap, like $ 1.25 or something. Seriously, another thing I have noticed is how drunk you can get for cheap in the ‘burbs! The bartender(Kathy?) informed us that Friday and Saturday night is karaōke and it is super fun. Plus $ 5 Jäger bombs… surely you freakin shower in that shit, as do I. hehe On Saturday the special is $ 2.50 kamikazes. Last night me and the BF drank many, many beers and our tab was… wait for it…$ 19.25. Holy hell, let’s all road trip out to the burbs to drink. I think even if I had to pay for a cab I could still save money at joints like this. And one of the characters asked what songs he should play on the jukebox and totally played some Journey by request… then we all sat at the bar and sang it at the top of our lungs! THAT’S a good bar!
