Don’t believe they care about reviews. Basically got here early To a near empty motel and they wouldn’t let us stay overnight. A lot of them do that now. If you’re here before 3. It’s stupid. So 5pm check out. 80+ dollars for 8 h. It’s pretty annoying. Not personable. No such thing as common courtesy anymore.

Patrick(if that is his name) is the worst person this hotel can have to service the people. He seems to be from India and he is kind a chubby, I am trying to describe him since he didn’t want to provide his name. I arrived to the breakfast around 8:15 am, and there was this group of ladies preparing their waffles(huge group of ladies). By that time, waffles was the only thing left. I tried to ask for more but, ‘Patrick’ was not there. When it was finally my turn, almost at 9, there was no waffle mix anymore. I waited for around 10 minutes until he finally showed up on the front desk and communicated this to him and he replied very rude that the breakfast was over, I was late and he won’t put anything else. So I said that was ok and ask him for his name, he replied that he didn’t need to provide his name. After that I asked if I can talk to the manager and he said he wasn’t calling the manager either. I left the conversation there cause I didn’t want to waste my time anymore. But this one of the worst services I have received in my life. No doubt about it.

Stayed here for the holiday, other motels were taking advantage of holiday rates while this one was still reasonable at $ 70. Nice kitchenette, clean room, small stove, microwave, and fridge. Comes with a desk and love seat. Only problem I had was the mattress, very firm. A softer mattress would be better. If your looking for a motel that won’t take advantage of the holiday rates, and is 11 miles from Kema and 15 miles from Galveston, I suggest this one.

We were looking online last minute for a hotel for the July 4th weekend. in Galveston. After many hits for the $ 149 – 199 range, we found this gem located in Texas City for $ 69/night. Yeah, we thought we would be giving up amenities for a simple bed to sleep in, but nope, we were wrong. We walk into the lobby and it is very inviting, clean, and attractive. It’s an open space with a very modern/classy look. The front desk clerk was friendly and we felt very welcomed. As we walked down the hall to our room, we saw the indoor pool/hot tub along with the exercise room. I began to wonder if we really were paying just $ 69/night. Once we got into the room(king sized bed in it), the A/C was already turned on for us and the room was nicely cooled. The room was VERY clean and came with a fridge, microwave, wireless AND wired at no extra charge, and a nice little stove/cooking area with a sink. There was also a sitting couch provided in the room. We could very easily camp out here for more than a few days. The bed was firm and we slept comfortably for the 4 nights we stayed in it. The hotel offered a morning continental breakfast(fruit/muffins/waffles) that we didn’t partake of, but it looked very appealing. We simply had other breakfast plans. The hotel was built in 2006(we asked) and it has all the modern amenities a traveler needs. There is even a coin-operated laundry room for those extended stays. The property is well maintained and we had all of our needs taken care of in this visit. The location of the Crystal Suites is ideal as it is right between Galveston and Kemah, both are main water/fun destinations. It’s close to I-45 so getting anywhere is easy and quick. While it’s not on a main highway, it definitely is in a great location, close to a Kroger/Denny’s/Gas/Fast Food. In conclusion, I would pay more and still feel like I was getting a deal at the Crystal Suites. We will make this our go-to when in Houston because of it’s convenient location.
