You can go wrong eating the wet burrito! Ask for two beef on one, and cinnamon chips! Yummmm

Ordered taco burgers like I always have which used to be one of my favorites. I’ve always been able to look past the dingyness of this place because they always made really great tacos. Recently they have gotten very stingy on how much meat they put on the tacos and taco burgers. Last night my taco burgers were roughly 90% bun. It was a bun sandwich with a sprinkle of meat. The bites everyone hates in a sandwich that are only bread, yeah a lot of those. Charge an extra 50¢ or something but selling these low quality tacos are never going to bring people back. I’ve eaten here for 18 years and sadly don’t ever want to go back.

The only people who like this place are people from terre haute. The place is run down from the outside, it smells like a port-o-potty inside, I saw dead bugs on the floor and the food is disgusting.

This place was terrible. Seriously there is more flavor at taco bell… although taco casita somehow manages to be cheaper. This is truth. I really hated the massive wedge of flavorless tomato that ruined the top of each taco. Just chop that thang up please. It’s supposed to compliment the taco not overpower it! I asked for hot and couldn’t detect any heat ATALL. You know how with indian food if you think you like spicy you should ask for mild to medium? This is the opposite of that. If you think you like spicy you’ll just be disappointed. If you hate spicy food get the super hot because it’s not gonna make a bit of difference. Super disappoint.

For someone just passing through the Haute, Taco Casita will virtually be invisible. There’s nothing fancy about the place. No commercials. No flashy sign. No billboards. Just a regular olé place with normal sized potholes and fading paint. One of the first impressions includes the name of this quaint Mexilicous establishment. With pinpoint accuracy, an art-eest has hand-painted the name where the old sign once was. One of the crowning jewels is the sombrero that sits atop this sign… beckoning all those weary travelers to enjoy a taco or twelve. The landscaping of dead bushes and overgrown dandelions has been meticulously ignored… but, for good reason. All of the time, money, and effort is focused on the inside. Upon entering the building, you’ll find that the interior has been lovingly designed with an eclectic combination of flea market rejects and 80’s décor. A new juke box replaced the old school one that featured smoke-yellowed song labels that were curled from the taco infused air. Polaroid pictures showcasing their main dishes are displayed on the menu along with tired, black letters revealing the other treasures they have to offer. Main attractions include the Wet Plate(sounds appetizing, right?) and the King Sancho. However, I normally go with a few tacos and nachos. Overall it’s very hole-in-the-wallish…my kind of place. The staff is friendly and down to earth. The prices are reasonable. Upon visiting several times, I’ve found it to be steadily busy. It a great place to stop in for some good food. It’s been a personal favorite for me and the bros. Don’t expect too much here… except some good tacos and a casual atmosphere.

Delicious hole in the wall style tex mex. Inexpensive and good value too. Get the wet plate and an extra taco.

An anachronistic fast-food Tex-Mex joint that has persisted through the decades. It definitely has a «dive-y» feel, but the food is quick, cheap and delicious. Don’t be intimidated by the appearance, try the wet plate or enchilada platter. The food is cooked with peanut oil.

This one is the better of the two locations. Cleaner, friendlier, and closer to work for me! Grab 12 tacos for under $ 8 and call it a big Lunch! Get the XTRAHOT if you want to kick in the flavor! Peanut Oil makes the tacos taste BETTER! Taco Casita makes better food than Taco Bell. HANDSDOWN!
