This place shouldn’t be listed as inexpensive. It’s very expensive.

The customer service here is absolutely fantastic. After reading my troubles with my previous visit, Grand Traverse Pie Co reached out to me in order to make things right. They offered me a gift card and I declined, because truth be told this was a rare treat for me. We don’t live anywhere in the vicinity of a Pie Co location. But their next email blew me away. They actually shipped me a pie, here to my home in Chicagoland. I was definitely not expecting that! They sent me the pie that I had originally ordered, a Lakeshore Berry Crumb Pie. This pie’s filling contains strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and Michigan Spy apples, and instead of the traditional pastry topping instead has a layer of crumb. This pie was SOGOOD. The flavor was awesome, and the integrity of the pie was better than expected, because I wasn’t sure how the whole shipping process would affect it. It conjured up all the feelings I’d wanted to have the first time I visited– this pie is pure Michigan(read this in Tim Allen’s voice, please). I think I ate almost all of it myself, but that’s what my family gets for being slow. Thanks so much, GT Pie Co for fixing a mistake and going above and beyond. I’d definitely come back again in the future.

Great soups and sandwiches. I had the Reuben. It was really tasty. Their soups are also great. Enjoyed the blueberry applesauce for dessert.

Kinda middle of the road experience all around. The woman at the counter was friendly but the guy slinging hash missed an item we ordered and it took another 10 – 15 minutes for them to produce the kid’s hash browns. My chicken pot pie was pretty good but not great. The pie crust was far better than the filling. I really appreciate a good chicken pot pie and this was pretty pedestrian all around. The filling was salty but that was about it for flavor. The pie was also pretty good but not great. I had a slice of berry pie and found it a bit short on berries. Plus the fruit goo was more of a solid than a goo. Consequently, it seemed a little dry. It was served at room temperature with no offer or suggestion of serving it warm. It may have benefited from a little heat or it could have dried it out more… not sure which would be more likely. Prices were reasonable but I won’t deviate from the highway that far again for a somewhat mediocre meal.

Had dinner here late tonight with hubby and daughter. We ordered the Reuben with potato salad and tomato Basil soup, chili and chicken pot pie. The Reuben was delicious and not greasy like they can be at times. The potato salad had a nice flavor as well. The Tomato Basil soup was delicious and chunky with a nice heart drawn in cream. The pot pie was also tasty but the chili was bland and pretty cold. Of course we had to get pie since we were here. Butterscotch wasn’t my favorite but didn’t expect it to be, the key lime needed more lime to it, but the mountain berry pie was delicious. It would be nice if they gave that berry pie the option of warming it or serving with ice cream. So many pie selections! It was a very tough decision. I was wavering between three and four stars on this review. We will probably go back because they had a nice variety of menu items and pies and because they gave Rose-Hulman students a free slice with their ID.

Love the chocolate silk pie. I love the food too. I’ve had the quiche for lunch which is really flaky and good. The sweet iced tea is good also.

I haven’t been inside the place — only take-out so far. The sandwiches have so far been imbalanced, usually with less meat than the bread demands. The au jus roast beef uses meat with a «philly steak» style cut rather than a rarer roast beef, which means most of the flavor is replaced by brothy serums and oversalting. The au jus sauce is likewise very salty and lacks much dimension in beefy flavors. How are the pies? Hit-or-miss. Most of the«candy» pies are oversweet and have a tower of whipped cream that drowns out the rest of the filling. The fillings are mediocre at best — your run-of-the-mill pudding and pie filling pie. The fruit pies are a step above this, and while they are also oversweet, the filling is good enough that I can focus on the crust which has a very manufactured feel, much like the pre-made crusts you find at the grocery store. If I were going to put pie in the name of my restaurant, I would make sure to have exemplary pies, not just standard diner pies. The only advantage of Grand Traverse may be merely that there are lots of flavors to choose from.

Love this place on a rainy day! I always get the chicken pot pie, but I think next time I’m going to venture out and get something else.

I highly recommend checking out this place off the beaten path! I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside and out of this place. The food was great and the choices for pie was amazing!

It’s «Haute Cuisine»(Though I’m certain that I’m not the first to use the term about a Terre Haute eatery) If only everyone pronounced *PIE* the same way Eric Cartman does… We had a nice slice of pie while passing through Terre Haute on the way back to Chicago. Will stop in again to try more *PIE*

Pretty good pie, the crust is flaky and lovely. The entrées were just OK. My husband had the chicken pot pie and oddly it tasted like pumpkin pie spice, very weird and unexpected but not in a good way. I had the ham and cheese quiche it was adequate but a little heavy on the nutmeg. Nothing special. So I would come for the pie and skip the other stuff. If you sign up for their club using their app, you do get a free piece of pie. The blueberry crumb pie was delicious and sweet. The chocolate pie tasted just like chocolate Jell-O pudding(said in my best Bill Cosby voice) so nothing special, and for taking home some Lakeberry pie. Our meals came with pie, salad and Potpie or quiche and were good value for the money. By the way, not too far off of Highway 70 on the way to Indianapolis from the St. Louis area. I found it on Unilocal, but what I didn’t see before is it’s a counter restaurant. Kind of like the Panera a pie joints.

Will no longer order pie. The slices are very tiny now and not worth $ 4 to us. We pay that for a big brownie piece and ice cream which we have to share at Applebee’s because it’s so big and delicious. The caramel coffee is fantastic.

So average. Coffee was weak and lukewarm. Stuffed BBQ Potato was big and tasty, but simple. Nothing special. Lots of fat. Chicken Pot Pie was good, but more crust than filling. My Peach Pie was not juicy. Didn’t bother finishing it. Wife ordered gluten free Rueben. It was just OK. Her coleslaw was good, and she liked her Apple Crumb with Caramel Pecan topping. Yes, folks were friendly. Place was tidy. Did not appreciate being my own waiter and busboy, though, for the price I paid. Nor did I appreciate the high volume of the music. Disappointed, but it could have been worse.

Healthy quick lunch in a clean pleasant atmosphere with quick efficient service. Could you ask for more? Yes, PIE, yum! Turkey Rueben was great. Others got a Pot Pie, salad and smothered baked potato. Everyone was delighted with their lunch. Pie was optional and quite delicious.

Everyone told me –including the woman who took my phone order — that their pies, cakes, etc. are«made from scratch». I’d hastily looked them up online & was unable to pull up the ingredients tab — if I had, I’d have never ordered as these are NOT«made from scratch». The cake & pie were good but not as good as what I’m used to as I generally go out of town to buy real made from scratch(and organic) pies. I thought the prices were fine for what you get & for holiday pies in a pinch I might go there again.

The price of a slice of pie differs, depending on whether you eat here or take it to go, but neither of those prices seems to be posted anywhere. We had to ask. It’s cheaper if you stay and eat. We got black coffee and got paper cups and served it ourselves from countertop carafes. The pies I tasted were very flavorful, and I enjoyed my coffee as well.

Great service. Great food! Awesome desserts! Got egg salad sandwich, tomato basil bisque, and apple pie with caramel and pecans, topped with ice cream and caramel sauce. That dessert was amazing. Highly recommend!

I was visiting some old high school friends in this area and decided to stop here for lunch. It’s basically like a Panera, but with better food and pie. I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted to scarf down. All of their sandwiches, salads and pies sounded amazing. I ended up ordering the smoked ham and havarti sandwich with the potato salad as a side. The sandwich was delicious, especially with that honey Dijon mustard on it. The potato salad was yummy and I wish I would have had a little bit of a bigger portion. I didn’t order a piece of pie considering I was stuffed after eating the sandwich and potato salad. I did however try my friend’s piece which was the Butterscotch pie. It was phenomenal. I’ve never had Butterscotch pie before, but this one definitely set the bar high for any future tastings. Yummy. This place is cute and an awesome choice for lunch. When I return to visit my friends again, I will definitely be making an appearance here. I’m also going to make sure I don’t leave without having at least one slice of pie!

This was a quick stop after a visit to the Candles museum. There are not a lot of options in Terre Haute that aren’t fast food. Our first stop was the pie case right inside the door. The cherry chocolate ganache caught my eye. I’ve never heard of a ganache pie and I love chocolate covered cherries so it was an obvious choice. The pie was excellent with a coffee. My friend had the strawberry rhubarb and was equally happy. It was very quiet on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was clean and the staff was nice.
