Worst service i have ever had. Went for valentines day dinner. Our waiter didnt check on us once after delivering food. Forgot half a meal. Had to wait until our food was cold until we got him over to bring us more tortillas. Waste of money.

We were staying in the hotel next door and First I have to say the food was the only redeeming quality of this restaurant and that was only marginally. We stopped by on tuesday around 4pm. Out started ok, the server seemed nice, and then… The bartender was not there to make drinks during happy hour so the server had to try to, but was unfamiliar with the recipes, so we waited for around 10 minutes for the drink. No water was offered during that time, so No drink while eating chips and salsa. The chips and queso were ok, but we had to ask for more and there was only one other table in the restaurant. The only reason they got a star at all was that my barbacoa meat was tender and decently seasoned. You can find better tortillas and mashed potatoes at HEB(Im assuming that’s where they bought them). After the meal was finished we had to literally get up from our table to ask for the check, they were standing at the pos system talking and not giving any mind to the 2 tables(yup, only 2 and no service), waited 7 minutes for anyone to come pick it up, and when we gave them an extra 20 to break so a we could leave a tip(a tip based on service) she came back and asked if we needed change?! I will gladly tip 50−100% if service is decent as i have been in this business for years and my bills are paid from tips, but this may have been the worst I’ve seen.

Got the nachos to go, as I was in a hurry. The chips were taco shells, which I’m pretty sure were Old El Paso or similar. Beef I requested was fajita, it was indeed fajita but not the strip slices, rather a ground low quality cut. Guac was good. Portion size was just right. Taco shells were the big disappointment.

The food was okay, but the service was awful! They double charge the tip. I left the tip at the table and then the charged the tip on the bill again without telling me. They charged me $ 32.00 tip for a bill of $ 129.00 that’s crazy. I won’t go back again and I don’t recommend it to nobody!

Used to be my favorite Mexican food place but they’ve changed the beans, the tortillas aren’t homemade anymore and the chips now seem store bought.

I’ve been here several times now and can honestly say that the food is pretty good. Not the best, but it’s consistent — and that’s what matters, especially for this area. Place is clean and the servers are very friendly. One in particular, is very attentive with a tendency to overuse the phrase«excuse me» when coming and going. But, hey. I’d rather have an extremely polite waitress than a rude one. + Mixed Fajita Plate: Generous portions of beef, chicken, and shrimp. Very flavorful dish and seasoned just right. + Sour Cream Enchiladas: Tender, shredded chicken with a layer of sour cream adds just the right amount of tang to this simple dish. And, the melted queso blanco on top? Aye, que rico! + Chicken Flautas: So effin’ good. ‘Nuff said. Get it. + Chips & Salsa: Decent. You get two types of salsa which are average in taste — all served in extremely tiny bowls. Not cool if you have to share. + Tres Leches Cake: Good. Had better, though. — Asparagus: They totally annihilated this(see pic) — I don’t even know why the hell I ordered it as a side dish. But, who really orders asparagus at a Mexican restaurant? Oh right, this girl.

This was the worst mexican food I have ever eaten! If I wanted enchiladas made with Wolf brand chili I could have made them at home! And then when I went to return that disgusting mess the manager had horrible customer service! The«nachos» were made with taco shells broken in half and shredded cheese on it! And everything was cold. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. HORRIBLECRAPPYMESS!

We’ve been eating at this location for years and it’s other locations as well. But lately the food quality has really gone down hill. The hominy in my husband’s and son’s menudo was so cruchy it was hard to chew. The pancakes that come with the kid’s breakfast have shrunk to half the size that they use to be, and the combo breakfast burrito has also shrunken as well. The flavor quality has diminished as well.

I really love this place. Best Mexican martini in Temple. Their salsa is great, they’ve got good specials and the service is always really great too. My husband love the outlaw margarita and the fajitas are the bomb! Never been disappointed here.

Two Thumbs Up! Came here tonight with buddy on a whim cuz it was within walking distance from our hotel. To much of my surprise, this Mexican restaurant was really Bad Ass! Chips and salsa… Hell yeah! Great chips & medium-heat salsa. Although they do have Extra HOT green sauce if you request it! Shrimp Mexicana… Wow! A really flavorful dish! Grilled shrimp, onions, bell peppers, and cheese on a bed of spanish rice. Try it if you want something besides the Norm! Service…EXCELLENT! Super friendly! Bar…full bar setup. Frozen margaritas. Cold beer on Tap & bottles. If you haven’t been yet… Check It Out!!! :)

Wow the price was amazing. It’s good tex mex. Really good. I got the sol enchiladas and my husband got a variety of 4 tacos I decided to get a barbacoa taco too. We got three dos Equis on draft in some big mugs and the grand total 26 dollars! I’m not positive it was three beers but know it was atleast two. Really nice service too.

I enjoyed this place. Went there for breakfast and had an omelet and that was good. The hash browns were good but a bit greasy. The fresh squeezed OJ I highly recommend! And the service was great! Very nice and clean. I didn’t get a chance to stop in the bathroom so no comment in that area.

On a long road trip and wanted a good breakfast. Stopped here based on the reviews. Food is cheap with good reason… not very exciting. Best part of the meal was the flour tortillas. If you are looking for truckstop quality food… this is the place to eat.

I ate here on my way home from San Antonio to Dallas. I had a chicken dish that was fantastic. I can’t remember the name, but it was a grilled chicken breast with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. The chips and salsa were also very good, but a little too salty. The wait staff was very attentive and never let our drinks run dry. The bathrooms were very clean too — which is always a nice perk when on a road trip. I would definitely stop here again.

This place claims to have won awards. Not sure how that happened. This is a poor imitation of several of the other Jalisco style taquerias. Pass this one up and head over to Mexicano Grill for better food and service

I fly by here in the mornings during the weekdays and finally took the time to stop in and check out the breakfast scene, which ended up being a pretty good experience. It’s very clean, quiet, 2 TVs up for your viewing pleasure. I opted to eat-in and took a seat and reviewed the menu. Lots of good choices listed and I couldn’t make a decision so I enlisted help of my waitress, who said their omelets are popular, and her fave was the Mixed Omelet since it has everything in it(chorizo, ham, egg, veggies). That sounds good, let’s give it a shot. I went to the bathroom to wash up and get situated(you know, do the hair thing, check the teeth and nails, etc…) only to come back to find all my food waiting for me at the table. Wow — that’s faster than snowman running for cover on a hot Texas summer day. Chips and salsa were an extra $ 0.50 — — sure, why the hell not? It came w/2 salsas, a warm and cold version, both tasted very similar yet very good. I also got a different warm salsa w/the omelet plate which also came with refried beans, hash browns, and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. The Mixed Omelet was very good, quality was better than expected, the plate was also clean and well presented. I think it said there were potatoes mixed into the omelet and I didn’t get much of that, but regardless it was pretty tasty. I liked the chips — light and not stale, and both salsa were very good too. I also got a iced tea mixed w/lemonade(Arnie Palmer) which the waitress was nice enough to give me a 32oz to-go cup of it for the road — — that’s cool. I’d say if you’re interested in a Mexican Breakfast that’s pretty good quality w/respectable prices, this would be my go-to place so far in the Temple area. They have Happy Hour everyday from 3−6p w/drink and food specials, and the weekly lunch specials are $ 1 off the original price up until 3pm. I think I would definitely go back, probably to try their Jalisco Migas Plate. The waitress was very nice, accommodating and patient as well.
