Shamrock’s Ale House

Wings were nuggets, service was very intermittent, sticky table. Prices are good, food selection is good, location rules. Overall food quality isn’t there and service blows. I had boneless wings and tots. The tots were good but wings were more like nuggets… their hottest sauce was also very mild.

Don’t bother wasting your time here. As it has already been said food is low quality (I have had mcdonalds burgers better than these). Waitresses seem to hang out with their regulars rather than making sure customers have drink refills. Seems like they are only interested in making sure customers that buy alcohol are offered refills. I would give them zero stars if it was an option.

Was expecting an Irish Pub, but this is a sports bar, and not a very good one at that. The waitresses ignored us in favor of their regulars. We asked if we could watch a basketball game, but the «regulars» (all 8 of them) came in for hockey, so every f’ing tv was on hockey. Food was dismal, beer selection poor.

What a waste of time. Inedible food that has refrigerator taste. A patio full of smokers with signs that say no smoking.

We went for lunch on a slow Saturday afternoon. Not many people around and surprisingly the service was sort of slow. Our server Rachel was friendly and took our orders from memory and didn’t take any notes — and got everything right!
We had a BLT and a chicken ranch and bacon wrap with fries. The fries were delicious and had a great flavor, sort of a mix between Arby’s curly fries and normal straight plain fries, hard to explain but very good.
The chicken back and ranch wrap was very tasty and filling. Good chicken, tasty house made ranch dressing and overall I loved the meal. The BLT was good and made on good sourdough bread. The lettuce wasn’t the best and consisted of an all white piece of lettuce and only one piece, and the tomato was not the freshest looking but still very tasty. Overall not bad but but not super impressed either.
All in all I’d give this place a 4 star rating. It’s pretty good food and a nice laid back atmosphere. Not crowded and the staff are friendly. It’s not a cheap place to eat, I’d describe it as just moderately above low cost, but decent quality for the price. There were families here and singles at the bar, so it’s a nice mix of people if you’re wondering about the atmosphere. There is an outdoor pool table and other games if you come for the game and social aspect of a bar/​pub.
I’d give it five stars if it weren’t for the slow service and slight issues with the BLT. Your mileage may vary. This is a locally run family business.

Went here Sunday, not my cup of tea. Was looking for a good Irish pub with good food, what a disappointment. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp and the shrimp was not fresh and I got sick. The wings needed salt and probably a few more minutes. Not impressed with location either. Probably won’t go again.

Man, talk about a passionate owner who cares about his customers and is willing to reach out for the betterment of his company. This is why I love locally owned and operated restaurants. The customer service is unparalleled. This begins with the owner and is the reason why the staff at Shamrock’s is top notch.

Don’t waste your time my wife and I went there about a month ago. We stood and waited for a hostess. After waiting a couple of minutes we decided to get a table ourselves. The only customers they had were sitting at the bar not like they were busy. We sat at the table for over 5 minutes with no one even paying attention that we were even in the building because they were help the regular customers. We just moved to Tampa 3 months ago and are trying new restaurants. After no one helping us we got up and left still no one paying attention. Needless to say we will never go back there. They definitely don’t care about new customers.

rolled in on a friday afternoon and it was mostly empty other than a group in the bar, the sign said seat yourself, so i did and it took about 10 minutes before someone saw me. The menu was really standard bar food but the wings were on special so I had broccoli bites and 10 wings. The bites were mainly breading and the wings were sitting in, i kid you not, half an inch of grease in the bottom of the basket. I wasnt expecting fine dining, but its never fun to feel the need to wring out your food before you eat it. This is a place Ill probably skip next time.

Ordered Delivery from here tonight and the food was pretty good. We ordered the 3 Sampler Platter with Broccoli Bites, Queso Beef Dip, and Potato Skins, the Rueben Sandwich with Mac n’ Cheese on the side, and the Fish n’ Chips Dinner that came with Coleslaw. I would definitely order the Rueben, Mac n’ Cheese, and their Fries again. The Fish was a bit dry but the batter was yummy and crisp. I would probably only order the Broccoli Bites out of the Sampler again since the Potato Skin were dry and the Dip was bland. Overall I would definitely order from here again, especially since they have some of the Best Mac n’ Cheese.

Decent enough. Like the sides. Good brew selection. Not a fan of the Shepherd’s Pie, but the buffalo chicken wrap was good as are the sides.
Never had a problem getting seated, no matter the size of the group and the staff has always been nice.

Great lil Irish joint. Not authentic Irish cuisine. Wings are great. Their garlic Parmesan boneless wings are very good! Fried pickles as well!

Love this place! My friend enlightened me to this establishment since she lives around the corner. Cute little Irish pub with great specials and awesome staff members! The food is good and the atmosphere is great!
Most times I have been here, my friends and I have shared appetizers (have not had one bad one yet!) They have a triple play which is 3 apps for $ 10 and all are delicious. The wings are tasty and the drinks are strong. They readily accept coupons if you have one from a Clipper Magazine like I did.
Drinks are strong and the bartenders are awesome! On the particular Friday afternoon that we went, the happy hour specials were $ 1.99 domestic drafts, $ 2.49 wells and select $ 4.99 appetizers. I have never had a bad experience here and I highly recommend a stop by if you are in the area.

Short story: marginal!
Service was neither fast nor slow.
The place smells a little musty. Not a good sign.
My Big Texas Burger was certainty BIG. The burger was good. The cheese was ok, toppings fresh enough, roll grilled. The bacon was flavorless.
I also had potato soup instead of fries and it was tasty.
My server was nice.

We stopped by on a rainy Sunday afternoon. It was quite at the time, but Paula, our waitress (who was great by the way) said they were expecting a crowd later since football season was starting. This would be a great place to go have a few beers and sit and watch sporting events with your friends. I had the Reuben which I really enjoyed. My boyfriend had the hamburger with a side of their mashed potatoes which for a pub with surprisingly good! I’m would get these rather than French fries, they were tasty. I see no reason why we wouldn’t stop by again if we were in the area.

The food was great and the staff was friendly. Great environment. Everyone feels like friends at this place.

This a must stop for anyone in the Tampa area. Beers and staff are outstanding !!! The Shepard Pie is the must try plate. I live in NJ and this is must stop for me !!! You guys rock !!!

Was pet sitting for a friend and used the good olé monocle to find out what was around this area. Searched for some beer and wings and this place was right on the dot and within walking distance (of course we drove, what am I some neanderthal?).
Had a fun and energetic waitress who was there at every right moment despite the bar being a bit packed. Started with two red ales which were awesome! I think they were called shamrocks red ale or something along the lines of that. For food, we ordered 10 of their hot wings and 10 cajun rub wings and they were mighty tasty, although I was a bigger fan of the Cajun, the hot was pretty good too. The only thing that was a little on the down side was the blue cheese… was kinda watery and tasted more like ranch. No it wasn’t ranch because I asked, but wasn’t even a big deal (ate it anyways).
Typical bar, nice atmosphere, good serivce, and tasty wings. Definitely will go back if I’m in the area.

Good wings and cold beer.
Went on a Sunday night, it was a little slow but the food was well worth it. The wings are on sale for 69 cents, not bad price. I had a combo of Hot and BBQ. The flavor was really good but could have used a bunch more heat. The blue cheese was good and was a good accompaniment to the wings.
The server was fast and efficient. Made sure our drinks were refilled and that our beers were full. I will be back on a Monday to try these BOGO burgers!
