Mom and pop place with good drinks and friendly service. The tea drinks are made from real tea leaves instead of powder. Love the laid back atmosphere too. Parking can be tight but there’s plenty of street parking.

Boba Express = a mom and pop boba shop that offers all the drinks that you can think of from Quickly /​Tapioca Express with a much better drink quality. There’s a free parking lot located behind the shop and a large sit-​down area in the back of the shop.

Taro smooth ($ 3.45 + $ 0.25 for boba): A fairly solid taro smoothie made with actual taro + warm & soft boba, but the drink tasted slightly off and the ratio didn’t taste 100% right. I personally still prefer Little Bean’s taro milk smoothie. (4⁄5)

If I am not too picky about what I want to drink (e.g. drinks from 7 Leaves Café or The Boba Truck) and don’t want to drive too far, then I wouldn’t mind coming back here again for another round of taro smoothie.

I ordered the brown sugar boba milk tea 太極撞奶 with less ice and half sugar. It is soooo good that I finish it right after I ordered it!!! I love the taste of brown sugar, fresh milk and the chewy boba! This is definitely the place for authentic Taiwanese tea drink!

Have been coming here forever!
Brenda and her husband (the owners) are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They always have conversations with my dad and I when we come here literally every other day, and their drinks never fail to disappoint me! This is NOT the place to come to if you want hot boba, with super hipster tea flavors and mason jars, but it is a solid place with good, soft and chewy boba and consistent quality drinks.
Recommendations:
Cookies and cream smoothie (they blend like 10 actual oreos into it oh my god)
Regular milk tea with grass jelly
Peanut butter smoothie (so thick and rich and peanut-​buttery!)

I so wanted to like this place, since I saw all the good reviews. I was hoping to find another good boba place that was close to me, fair in price, and good with boba. Unfortunately, I only hit two out of the three. It definitely is close by and the price is decent. However, while other reviews raved about the boba, it doesn’t hold a candle to Factory Tea Bar’s boba in taste and consistency. Since it’s so close, I may come back to try the other drinks and see if it’ll be a good substitute for non-​boba drinks.
Good luck with street parking and limited parking in the back lot!

As a kid, I used to come here at least once or twice a week on my bike. The drinks were okay and cheap so they’re okay. They’re also super close. Yeah they’re pretty good tasting.

I always like to support family owned operations. It’s hard to compete these days. So it’s nice to be able to give them my business to support them. Boba drinks are tastes and sweet. I will come back again of course.

Awesome place. Like others have said, this is a family-​owned store.
I came here coming back home from Santa Anita Mall and it was a hot-​summer sweaty day so why not. Checked their menu and they have all sorts of drinks from flavored tea, milk tea, smoothies, etc.
I ordered the Cookies and Cream smoothie. With itself it’s only $ 3.49 + tax. If you want to add boba it’s like 25 cents more, and 50 cents more for a large cup. The smoothie tasted great; can actually taste the cookies :) It’s an inexpensive-​ish kind of tea place overall.
Parking is located in the back. If you can find parking in the street, go for it. The teaplace is a good place to study or do homework as they have seatings in the back of the store. The old lady that took my order was very kind, great attitude!

This place is really cheap but the drink is ok… ^^ most of the drink is under 4 dollars. So compare to the other place, the price match with the quality of the drinks. My drink is kinda sweet but the price was only 3 $… And they have a piano here!

TARO BOBA ALERT:
THIS PLACE FREAKING USES REAL TARO!!!
Maybe I’ve been unfortunate enough to have to settle for flavored powder drinks, but boba express threw a curve ball at me. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order (five minutes til closing) and decided on my all-​time favorite. The gentleman (owner?) was super sweet and accomodating. I asked what was in the taro smoothie and he pulls out a container of dry non dairy creamer and a tub of real taro! Long story short, this place is amazing and deserves a full five stars… for product AND service!

Trying this place out for my first time and I definitely love it. I’m use to going to HoneyBoba but this Momma Poppa store is a hidden gem! I tried the Green Apple Icy with Rainbow Jelly and it is delicious! That was for my Daughter and for me I got a Milk Green Tea with Grass Jelly. Sooooo refreshing! They also have yummy snacks here! Check out the pics below…
Also…it looks tiny when u walk in but after you get ur drinks… walk towards the back of the shop and they have this spacious open seating in the back!
