Do not eat here if you want service and good food !
We wanted to have a nice breakfast and to only have the worst experience and food! We waited 45 minutes for our food and then ended up leaving and paying for two meals, only to bring them home and find a hair in the chicken fried steak. (seriously!)
This will not go unnoticed and for the safety of our neighborhood, the AZDHS will be notified of this practice by this establishment.

Service can be a little spotty at a table but the food is really delish, bar service w/​food has always been very attentive, one of my favorite places to pop in from time to time. Food is very tasty.

The food was made to order and fresh out of the kitchen. The service was really, really, really slow.

I got the blue cheese peppercorn with chipotle mayo and an egg, cooked medium. Lemme tell y’all: damn, damn, damn. So damn good. The burger was excellently seasoned. & I mean excellent. It came with fries & chose the Cajun steak fries — again phenomenal & seasoned really well. A+ for the food.

I would not have chosen to go to Mac’s on my own. But since I was dragged there, I went with an open-​mind. I’ve driven past many times but never felt any urges to check it out. As I have guessed it’s not the «Mac-​daddy» kind of restaurant. It’s a neat spot, drinks are good and their chicken quesadilla was the best I’ve had in a long time. Though I took a risk and venture outside of my «tastebud-​zone,» I would probably not go again. No harm, no foul, just not what my palate desires.

I’ve been here five times, and every time I’ve had a different waitress but the same situation– Sit for twenty minutes waiting for a drink order. Sit for another ten waiting for the drink. Sit for another thirty waiting for our food. I have one hour for lunch, and every time I’ve been here, I leave without eating.
There are more than a dozen empty tables. There are at least six waiters. Why is my water glass empty? Why have been waiting for an hour for a burger? Why do I bother to keep trying? The food isn’t worth the wait. You’re better off across the street at The Habit.

Best grilled cheese sandwich ever! Steak fries are amazing. Tried for lunch as wildflower was packed.

I should have done this review earlier! This place is great with local brews, foods, and awesome service. My family and I have gotten the burgers, chicken, even the pasta! All have been great outcomes. I need to come here to watch football, their starters, like the queso sauce, is so good!

There are a ton of things I like about Mac’s:
1. The Booze
Mac’s has a solid variety of beer (drafts, craft and imports), wines by the glass and bottle and specialty drinks. Right now they have a cute menu of Holiday Cocktails including Chocolate Mint Martini, Warm and Fuzzy, Raspberry Hot Chocolate, Irish Coffee, Nutty Irishman Coffee, Keoke Coffee and Hazelnut Martini.
2. The Food
Mac’s has a wide variety including breakfast, appetizers, lunch, dinner, and desserts.
Pretty standard bar food and everything I’ve ever had was really good.
For breakfast there is a pretty standard menu of eggs and such.
They also feature a great selection of breakfast cocktails which are all super yum!

Mac’s is at the SW corner of McClintock and Guadalupe. It’s right by my house, so it’s perfect! :)
What I don’t like about Mac’s:
1. The Service
I’ve never ordered anything that didn’t take forever to get, including the check.
So, don’t ever come in if you’re in a hurry.
Overall, I ⁴⁄₅ highly recommend Mac’s as a great place to chill and get a drink and some snacks.

I’ve heard a lot about Mac’s, but we’d never gone for some strange reason. Whenever I shop at Trader Joe’s I remind myself that we need to try it. We finally did, and we were pleasantly surprised. Mac’s is a delightful neighborhood bar and restaurant. We were pleased with the craft beer selections and the happy hour drink prices. We sat at the bar and got great quick service. My hubby and I ordered the BBQ sandwich and the steak sandwich and shared. The BBQ sandwich was full of different textures. It had huge pickeles and cole slaw on it, which I love in a pulled pork sandwich. We both thought the steak sandwich would have thin strips, but it came with hearty, soft like butter chunks of steak. It was so tender and juicy. My hubby loved the thick cut fries. We will be back. It might even be our new neighborhood hangout.

Always friendly service. Good selection of beers. Prime rib Sunday special looks very tempting.

Burgers are bomb! I love the burgers, they have really good fries also, I always order the Cajun steak fries. The one thing that is almost always disappointing is the service. I would say 90 percent of the time the service is Horrible. I guess you’d have to go and try it out yourself, you might get lucky and have a great waitress or waiter.

Service was pretty was quick and friendly, granted it wasn’t very busy when we went in. The chipotle chicken sandwich was soggy, so I just pulled off the bread and lettuce and ate the chicken. It tasted like dry and previously frozen, but it wasn’t terrible. The coleslaw tasted like it had been sitting in a bucket for days. We pulled pieces of paper, which looked like they had come from a straw, from out of our little bowl, which I’ll tell you, is pretty unappetizing. I won’t be back.

Yup, won’t be back. After waiting 15 minutes to take our order, then 30 minutes for our food after that, the food was average. Then we waited another 15 minutes to get our check. Had high hopes for the place.

This place has been here for years so I decided to finally check it out. The atmosphere had the neighborhood feel to it, the crowd was older so I could they’re probably regulars.
I ordered a jalapeño burger medium well and my friend ordered the classic cheese burger well done, the waitress said it will take 20 minutes to cook which is a bit long but fine. After nearly 35 minutes of waiting our food came out, the burgers were huge but bland. Although the quality of meat was good I thought it lacked flavor! The spicy mayo and jalapeños didn’t compliment the burger at all.
The fries were just fries nothing special. My friends burger was very medium and very pink, not well done at all. I am not sure why it took so long to get our food if the burgers didn’t come out well done. I don’t like giving local places so so reviews but I had to on this one.

This is close to home and was here once before so decided to try it again. This time was not so great. The food was super salty, the onion soup had so much salt it was almost inedible. The fish sandwich was not good, fishy taste and loaded with so much sauce had to scrape most of it off. Most likely wont go back.

Amazing burgers! The Burger of the Month never disappoints! Great beer selection! And every plate that walks by looks awesome too! Love Mac’s!

Had an apple cider bacon and cheddar (half pound) burger and added jalapenos. I’ve always had good food here but I felt the burger plus the amount of cheese made this a bit too greasy. Upside is this is a place that will cook meat including burgers medium rare if you wish. My fries were steak fries and though it said Cajun spice on the menu, they did not seem to have this.
My companion had the Reuben sandwich and side of fruit. Had no complaints and rather enjoyed it, impressed with the size of the sandwich.

Macs has the best house ground hamburgers. I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and French fried potato. There is also a varied selection of both local and nationwide craft beer. I personally like the Huevos Rancheros, a Bloody Mary and NFL or College football on the weekends. FYI… The are open for breakfast for the early games. All in all a good olé regular neighborhood eatery!

Just stopped in for a few beers with a few friends and we were met with friendly staff, a moderate selection of brews, and a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy each others’ company. The prices were reasonable as well. I’ll probably be back to try out their menu in the future.
