Heading back for another haircut today. Scarlet does a great job, and I can’t wait to get my hair back in shape for the holidays! I highly recommend them to anybody. Great staff, nice little shop, and always A first-​rate haircut.

YAY!!! I love this place :) I’ve been going to Dina for a long time and she never disappoints. I love it when we dye my hair cuz she does whatever her vision is and it turns out AMAZING… The staff is so nice and friendly along with the owner he’s a nice guy. I consider them friends not just a salon. I love Dina, Dawn, Dirk and all the others their. YAY!!!

I’ve referred several friends and have personally come in for trims several times in the past year. Scarlett, Katt… everyone is great, friendly, efficient. And it’s affordable!
If you’re looking for a fancy-​schmancy $ 80/​service hair salon… this place is NOT it. But if you want stylish, great hair, Grooming Humans wins hands down!

Went there to see Scarlett Ho. She is a Korean hairdresser who truly understood Asian hair texture. She fixed my previous haircut which was too thick than my liking. I am not a person who like to style my hair in the morning and she took that into consideration when she redesign the cut. Got a lot of compliments after the visit. Highly recommend.

Had a haircut with Katt yesterday my first time in while working in PHX for the summer. Without giving her too much direction, she totally nailed it. She was friendly without asking awkward or banal questions, listened exactly to what I had to say, and took the time to make sure her detail was on. I’m sad I won’t be around to return.

Brad is a genius, I won’t let anyone else touch my hair. Could charge 100 dollars a cut and I would still come. Highly recommend!

Ahhhhh to find a place where a good haircut is possible. I really enjoyed this place, the price was sort of high, $ 35 plus tip, even when my hair wasn’t blown out. I’ll be back during the semester, but I’ll be more prepared for the price of a trim I suppose.

I was driving around and felt like getting my hair did. I called and got in right away at 9AM. Kat was my stylist and man did she do an amazing job. I rarely get my hair done and she did a great job lighting it up without being to extreme and will grow in quite nicely. You could she really enjoyed what she does and she too was super happy how it came out. I was pleasantly surprised what she came up with to do. I will be back and would recommend anyone to try this place out. Thanks for a great cut and color!

I’m from Brooklyn, NY and just moved into town… needed a quick appt due to work schedule. Well, ever been in that situation where at the beginning of the cut you kinda make the decision in your head to stay or go? I should have left. This young asian woman, the only one there… you could tell she wasn’t confident with her hands. Used a cheap buzzer from Amazon and a comb to determine the side length. Ended up being really uneven and not even worth me instructing to fix. Barely listened to what I wanted and didn’t even let me inspect the back.
I just left as soon as I could. Be warned, if you’re a well kept guy who knows what he wants, go to a proper barber shop or salon. Should have realized after I walked in…

Nice little salon. They are really friendly and make the whole experience great. I am very happy with my recent haircut. Shampooing is INCLUDED! The price is a bit steep for my taste but overall I was very happy. I had Katt and she was great!

Been coming to Grooming Humans for a while now for work and they do an amazing job with cutting hair. They listen to you before cutting and make sure it’s exactly what you like.

This was a good place to get a haircut — all kinda basic — and a bit hit-​and-​miss with the stylists. But it is close to campus and reasonably priced. I found one person who I will return to —

I came back to get my hair colored — red with highlights. It came out amazing, probably the best coloring I’ve ever gotten! In the past at other salons, I’ve had red highlights turn out hot pink or the base color coming out darker than I wanted since they underestimated how dark my hair is, but Scarlett knew exactly what she was doing!

I don’t quite remember how I ended up being a customer at gH
I used to always see it when I was around ASU main campus or on a stroll to Mill
Upon my first experience I had called in and was scheduled to be with Carly
But
Something came up and I had to postpone
I put off my hair cut for 2 days when I was free and I was scheduled again with Scarlet
I’m usually very picky with my hair cuts and in my first meeting really didn’t have to give Scarlet much direction… Even though she was fairly new to gH, she was excellent in working with me and finding out how I wanted my hair cut…
She is very nice and doesn’t just chop here and there
She keeps checking to see if it’s to your desired length
Even when she’s just about done, she will make sure that you walk out happy
It’s nice to sit and chat with her too, she’s a character
I am such a regular of hers that every time I go in, we pick up convo and ask each other about so and so
For the guys who want a short cut or just a very detailed cut, I suggest Scarlet
The prices at gH are reasonable for the quality cut and the experience, they also have deals for first timers as well as repeat customers

Scarlet is a hair designer from Korea, did a great job… expect to pay $ 30 minimum but is totally worth it.

I love this local place at ASU. Dawn has been cutting my family’s hair here for years and we look forward to every visit. We never wait and it’s always like visiting an old friend every time and catching up. Usually I don’t even say what I want done — she just remembers and gives me a cut fresh cut every time! I don’t know what more than I can say other than I wish the parking situation was a bit more ample. Sure you can pay to park, but free spaces are a premium on busy days.

I was in town and needed to get my hair trimmed and looking nice for business meetings. I found this location on Unilocal.
The staff is very friendly and experienced. The cost was reasonable. I only wish I lived in Tempe so I could be a regular.
I highly recommend. Also, excellent business name.

This place is located just north of The Chuck Box on Forest. Theres plenty of parking right across the street, but it is a pay lot.
This place is tiny, but large. When you walk in youre immediately greeted. There are a couple of comfy couches to lounge on if theres a wait for your stylist.
Ashley is my fave girl here. She always keeps her station clean, and is super personable. I went to her for a cut and color. She spend the 1^st 5 – 10 minutes talking to me about exactly what color I wanted. She ended up blending a red and light brown to mimic my natural color.
Personally, I always feel uncomfortable chatting w/​the stylist I get. It just never seems genuine. But not w/​Ashley.
My color came out great and I love the cut she gave me. I was in and out in about an hour, hour and a half. Id definitely recommend Grooming Humans and especially Ashley.
