The medical staff are awesome, the nurse practitioner Su, is a delight. However, the front desk staff are extremely rude, I work in a very busy office servicing the public and I cant imagine treating people this way and keeping my job. I am not a patient, my husband is. The wait to see someone is hours long… Robert Bloomberg might be a great doctor, but his staff sucks.

I have been going to Dr. Bloomberg for years and love him as a physician, but there are some issues with office staff. First, on average, I wait in the examining room 2 – 2.5 hours after my appointment time before I see the Dr. It doesn’t matter what time of day I make the appointment. The woman at the desk said the average wait is 1.5 hours. REALLY? Why do they schedule appointments knowing that is the wait time??? I never have this issue with any of my other doctors. My other issue is that in 2015, this doctor doesn’t have a decent website with a patient portal. All of my other doctors have one. Communication is horrible. There are times I’ve just wanted to ask about a change in medication and I have had to make an appointment to come in and see him. It could have been solved with a 3-minute phone call or email. I agree with other reviewers about the attitudes of the office staff. As a doctor, Bloomberg is great, but the business side of his office needs a lot of work.

From what I’ve heard, Dr. Bloomberg is one of the best primary care physicians in the valley. That being said, I’ve never met the man myself but he so happens to be my husband’s doctor. Anyway, my complaint is towards his office staff. I had the rare opportunity of accompanying hubby to a recent visit(usually he doesn’t want me tagging along) but I insisted this time cause he never ask any questions. Well, from that one experience, if I weren’t so mature I would have flipped in that office! The assistants are more concerned about their personal lives than they are of the patients. And they are also passively rude. While trying to make a follow up appointment the girl at the desk never made eye contact with me even as I was trying to see if she could give us a better date to come back. She didn’t flinch. She just sat there moving slowly as uncaring as can be. And when I called back to have a document refaxed because it was missing some information, the girl on the phone was quite unpleasant. Just cold in her response as if I were asking for the moon. If my husband did not have to go back, I would have made sure they hear it from me. So, Dr. Bloomberg may be the best but his office assistants sure ain’t.

Dr. Robert Bloomberg has been our doctor for about 15 years. During all that time we have found him to be not only above reproach & superior in competence, he has shown a genuine caring for his patients. He takes time to explain issues but more than that, he ‘listens’ to your concerns. He never makes you feel that you are wasting his valuable time regardless of how frivolous those concerns, I’m sure, must seem to him. He always shows extreme patience & caring. In my opinion there is no finer Internist than Dr. Bloomberg. He has always taken excellent care of our medical needs & shown a caring attitude while doing so. He certainly deserves the highest rating possible.
