We were in Temecula for a wedding on June 25, 2016. We arrived a few hours early and decided to stop at the Swing Inn for lunch. My husband had the delicious Chile Ortega French Dip and I had the Tuna Melt. So delicious that we decided to come back for breakfast the next morning before wine tasting on the way home! The food was delicious, affordable, friendly employees, and we loved it. We love the small town diner feel of the place. We had only looked online beforehand and weren’t disappointed! Place was cute and the style I was looking for. The food tasted good too but not much variety in the breakfast for I had to make my own omelette and essentially ended up paying $ 15 for an omelette. Which is expensive. The service was good too. Not overboard which what I like. Good place of you want all day breakfast.

Such a great spot… using canned corned beef and hash. My husband and I were not impressed with the service either, by that I mean it wasn’t busy and our server had somewhat of an attitude.

I needed a place to stop and get some coffee and breakfast while I did some work and decided to give the Inn a shot since it seemed to be buzzing. Sure enough, when I came in, it came across as a good old fashioned café from the days of yore. I chose a seat in the back corner since I figured I’d be camping for a little bit. The table was still littered with leftover things from the person(s) who sat there before me, but the table was quickly cleared and wiped down and coffee and water were very prompt. Tina came to help me, and she is as kind and pleasant and energetic and efficient as I could have hoped for. She has a great smile and bright eyes, too. I recommend you come say hi. I asked for recommendations since this was my first time here. She recommended a few things, but the one that immediately stood out was the chicken-fried steak and eggs, which is one of my favorites and I always like to try at any good breakfast-serving establishment. So that’s what I got.(I inhaled it too quickly to get any pics — something I will remedy during my next visit. And there WILL be a next visit.) The eggs were over easy and I got their home fried potatoes(red potatoes baked with sauteed green peppers and onions). The eggs were perfectly runny and the steak was done exactly right. There wasn’t too much seasoning, which I appreciate, allowing me to meddle a little bit at the table. One of the things I liked about the gravy on the steak was that when it arrived it was darker than the gravy I usually see served at restaurants like these — a VERY good thing. And sure enough, it was perfectly flavorful. All in all a very good first visit to this randomly selected hole in the wall. I highly recommend it. The background noise is just wonderful and makes me want to stay longer and return sooner. Very comforting.

This café has a old school feel to it.. The breakfast was biscuits and gravy was pretty good. I just wish it was hot when I received it. Other then that I like this little café!

We have been to Swing Inn maybe 5 times since we have lived in town and it’s consistently good. It’s basic food, but done nicely. Today we went in for breakfast because I love their country gravy! It was as good as always, slathered on my super bowl. My husband had a chili cheese omelette that he found«uninspiring.» Kind of plain and a little cold inside. It was nothing that Tabasco couldn’t fix! My kiddos both enjoyed their pancakes. The service was good. Not incredibly attentive but good and prompt. Prices are fair for what you get.

Been coming here for nearly 20 years and the food, service and staff hasn’t changed much. It always feels like home coming here. The food is delicious and I’ve always had fast service, the wait can get long on the weekend but it’s worth it.

This place hasn’t changed much! Still packed, decent food and a great location! The waitress today was actually pretty nice and didn’t just rush us like they always do! Instead of breakfast I had the tuna melt this morning and it was really really good! My dad and husband had the biscuits and gravy and they enjoyed it as well! Definitely lacking seasoning and/or flavor! I know this place has it in them, they just seem to stick with the basics and not want to step it up! So until then my rating has to stay the same! I would give a 4 star rating if we got better service but every time we are there, the waitresses just rush rush rush! I know that you’re busy but you have to make the customers that you have sitting in front of you count! Skip it on the weekends if you can, it’s too packed for me!

Very busy on a holiday Monday morning. We were greeted by a friendly and efficient staff and were seated quickly. Servers are super nice and the food was incredibly good! I had the Super Bowl Scramble and my fiancée had the Eggs Benedict. The food came out surprisingly quick and was delicious!

Sat at the counter this morning, sat there for a while… no one even acknowledged us as they were walking past us back and forth. Finally someone asked if anyone had taken our drink order. I was looking forward to the cinnamon roll and was kinda freaked out when I saw them put it in the microwave to heat it up. The texture was mushy, it was not a good cinnamon roll. It was more like a Pillsbury cinnamon roll from the can. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and the gravy was flavorless and the biscuits were dry and dense. Still looking for a good breakfast spot.

This restaurant was a good breakfast choice for us. It’s in Old Town Temecula and right on the main road. It’s a home style café with a pretty large menu. Server was attentive and food came in a good time frame. Their pies looked great. Food was fine; nothing special, just home style. In this city there are so many great breakfast/lunch spots, that’s why I didn’t give more stars. We will return though because it feels great for families. Not a big restaraunt chain feel.

OMG… we love charming local restaurants… Especially this one. Diane, the owner, was a treat… the ambiance, the staff, the décor, the location(Temecula Old Town) the menu and the food is beyond two thumbs up! …by the way, don’t leave without trying the cinnamon roll… to die for(really) Thank you Diane and staff.

Stopped by for breakfast before heading back home. Had a 15 min wait on a Sunday morning. Sat comfortably outside until our name was called. Quick service! And I mean quick! We both ordered the French toast combo with two eggs and two sausages. Food came fast, tasted good. Nothing too special though. The Orange juice was not the real deal sadly. High compliments about the service, hard working folks. Lots of locals and families gather here.

I am not from the local area, but I visited on the recommendation from a good friend. It’s a very quaint restaurant with a down home feel. Unfortunately I had already had lunch, but I absolutely had to have dessert. There is a pie case full of amazing deliciousness. I decided to have a slice of Almond Joy Chocolate Pie and I’m so glad I did. Piled high with whipped cream, it was soooo good!!! There was a display of Cinnamon rolls sitting on the counter and I couldn’t resist taking one for the road. The next time I’m in town I will definitely eat from the menu. The breakfast looked amazing!

Not as impressed as before. My husband didn’t finish his country fried steak. FAST, FRIENDLY, and ok food. Previously, 3months ago, I ordered the French Toast with ham in between, call the Montecito. I would have taken a picture but we ate it too quickly, lol, I didn’t get a chance. If you want bfast all day and eat quick and leave — this is the place! Of course, we ate an apple pie for dessert. It was ok.

We’ve lived in Temecula a while now and like to keep branching out on eating places, not keep covering the same territory over and over again. Well, there are some favorite places that draw us like a magnet when we want to go out, but I for one am glad we had a meal here today. My wife had scrambled eggs with ham and hash browns(we came in before noon on a Monday) and I had the super burger with potato salad instead of fries. My wife was happy with her meal and I was too but my own fault for getting the biggest burger they had. Next time a 1⁄3 pounder will be plenty. Yeah, I see how some folks say this place is a bit on the spendy side for a diner. Our two meals with drinks came to $ 25, plus tip. I did leave a nice tip because the service was good and we just plain like the place. We made a pact to order biscuits and gravy next time because the last breakfast place we had some they were no good. Swing in on the other hand made a good impression on us so we will be back.

I’ve come here only for the second time. Even thought the first time here was a few years back the food is still pretty much the same. The french toast with my scrambled eggs and bacon strips was all good. The coffee was actually good too. The décor is the same, simple and has a rustic feel(fitting since it’s in, Old Town Temecula). There are waiting areas before you enter the restaurant and as you walk in. This place fills up quickly(we visited on a Fri @ 9am). The food is served to you in a matter of minutes it seems. One of these days I will try to save room and try the HUGE, cinnamon roll and a slice of pie that everyone is reviewing about. The service varies, from our server, ok, to the cashier, friendly. I don’t think anything will keep me from coming back to the café. It’s a pleasant place to grab a bite then go shopping in town afterwards. Remembering to save room for dessert on my next visit.

Decided to take a road trip with my boyfriend to Temecula and wanted to enjoy a local spot We found this tiny restaurant and fell in love. Its definitely a local spot with delicious food and great people. The staff is very attentive and the menu prices are great. We wanted a harty breakfast and that’s exactly what we had. Chili cheese omelet… shall I say anymore? Homemade chili adds that home cooked meal taste and makes me wanna return as soon as possible. Love this place.

Known for its breakfasts, we skipped that and went for the gusto… a slice of blackberry pie. Where I come from, pie is just about *the best dessert* around. We packed it in a to go box. It didn’t make it far down the road. Berry juice down my shirt. Shame on me. Hey, at least I shared. Guess what? Really good, not overly sweet. Decent flaky crust. But shoulda had it warmed up and topped with some vanilla ice cream. Then there would have been ice cream drippings on the shirt too. Next time, I wear a red shirt. And that’s how she rolls in my family.
