Food here is always great. Had the ribs and wife had the tri tip sandwich. Gail our server was good and very nice. Co founder came to our table to make sure everything came out right.

Prefer the MURRIETA location! The servers are nicer and make a better hot fudge sundae. There wasn’t much hot fudge or nuts. Turns out all the hot fudge was at the bottom of the dish which the wide spoon served with it doesn’t reach Ordered a side of fries at this location, they had a bunch of salty red seasoning which didn’t go well with the sundae. Order it without.

The food was just okay and the service was slow. The atmosphere was neat but the waitresses couldn’t even tell us what the special included.

The thing I love the most is that they make their own onion rings! I love onion rings but not the thin frozen ones at most places. The zucchini is also made fresh and you can taste it! Good quality, cute décor and the staff is really friendly.

I don’t know what happened? This used to be my favorite breakfast place. Not anymore sad to say. I ate here three times in the last two weeks and each time was worse than the time before. The bacon was a weird color and had a plastic chewiness to it… the next time I ordered the breakfast meat sampler… none of the meats were good and the hash browns tasted like they need to replace the oil they use… gave it one last try and got the corn beef hash breakfast. I could barely finish the corn beef and hash because it just did not just taste good. And the soda did not taste good this time either what happened Richie’s? I guess we need to find a new breakfast place:-(

I go every Friday with my dad because it’s hard to see him during the week between school and work. Nice place to catch up. Friendly environment and staff. He loves the Cobb Salad. I’ve had the Chicken Pot Pie, spaghetti, clam chowder, cheeseburger, Mexican salad… you name it, it’s great. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but that’s because they are always busy. Very nice place to bring your family. Very good food.

We have been going to Richies since it first opened and always receive the best service. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and everyone is so friendly and gracious. I want to give a big shout out to Nicole Petersen, she is the best! Whenever possible we request to sit in her station because her service is always great! When I am there it warms my heart to hear how many regulars she has and how kind she is to everyone. We have never been disappointed in the food or service and will keep coming back.

Always fresh, always hot, just like my grandma’s Sunday dinners! Jack and Linda treat all their customers like family — and have the best home style food in the valley.

Was there for brunch with the in laws. Waited well over an hour to get our food. My waffle was hard as a rock, I got a full on boiled egg when I asked for poached eggs. My husband asked for well done eggs and his eggs were much liquid-y than mine. His toasts were colder than the table top. Grandma’s corned beef was pretty much frozen still. Would not come back to this place if they paid me.

Nothing extraordinary. Good food, not great. I ordered the apple almond salad and wasn’t even informed that it was going to come with mandarins instead… It was still really good, but had a not liked mandarins there would’ve been a problem. Also they informed me that they would bring my pita bread in a couple minutes but never got it… I didn’t mind so I didn’t complain, but I did notice. Very nice employees though, very cute. My peanut butter shake was good, but also not outstanding

Its not hard to mess up a BLT, but i guess you can. I ordered it to go, and when I got it the fries were cold and all small broken up pieces, all the scrapes. The sandwich was a very sad sandwich. For almost $ 11.00 you get a very small piece of chicken, there was 2 small slices bacon, but it’s loaded with red onions, one slice of lettuce and a huge slice of tomato. It was basically a onion and tomato sandwich. The place is cute, 50’s diner theme — maybe its the ambiance your paying for. I’d rather pay for good food and in a hole in the wall.

Am I going to give a diner a FIVESTARREVIEW? Heck yes I am. I’ve been going to Richie’s every time I visit home for about five years. I’ve had a few different things here and have never had I meal I didn’t like. I’m going to discuss my favorites. First– many of the meals come with a free dessert. And if yours does not, calm yourself, because the desserts are dirt cheap and SO good! The staff is a dream-always polite and super knowledgeable. We’ve had the opportunity to chit-chat with the owners on occasion too. I also love the penny candies and taffy for sale. Note to the world– they have THEBEST salt water taffy EVER. You can also eat outside in the cute courtyard if you want. Okay– now for the best part. Richie’s has the best steak. Truly. I always order the sirloin cooked outside on the grill. It is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. It’s never grizzly or fatty. I LOVE Ruth’s Chris, but I LOVE this place maybe even more. You must try the steak! The salad is always good and the baked potato is perfect– moist and hot and salted. The banana cream pie is delicious. And please, please try a strawberry lemonade. And a milkshake. I also must discuss the HEAVENLY fried zucchini. I dream about it. Oh! I almost forgot! I was able to enjoy the steak and baked potato today without a single problem with gluten cross-contamination. I couldn’t eat the zucchini, so I’m blocking it from my mind. Our waitress was very accommodating. I know it’s weird to say that the best steak can be found here, but it can be. Please give it a shot.

I’ve always experienced great service at Richie’s in Murrieta… why this location gave off a different vibe, I’m not sure… My wife and I were across the street at Walmart and I decided that I wanted a milkshake. We came in and sat at the bar and nobody around us greeted us for almost 10 minutes. The kitchen staff clearly saw us, but never offered us a menu or asked if we had been helped yet. Finally, a waitress came over and we ordered our drink and carried on with the rest of our day… there was a pretty large group that was just finishing up so maybe they were tied up with them, but I honestly don’t know… maybe I’ll just stick to an In N Out shake next time?

Attempted to go to «Which Wich» today next door but didn’t. That’s a whole over review… My wife had the tri-tip dip and I had the carved tri-tip with the lettuce and tomato with cheese, no beef broth dipping sauce for me. I also had the split pea soup. Can’t say I recommend it since to me it didn’t taste like pea soup. CPK has a killer pea soup, but Richie’s is one I’d rather forget. It had too many other ingredients competing and overshadowing the pea flavor. Anyway, the tri-tip is deeeelightful. I want to go back and try more of their bar-b-cue meats. They seem to do a fine tri-tip, so smoky and tender, the way good bar-b-cue should be! The fries were awesome! I usually avoid fries and get salad but I’m so glad I go fries. Crispy, golden sticks of potato bliss. We will definitely be back again.

I went in for breakfast with my toddler and infant. I was worried about being the lady in a restaurant with two screaming kids, but luckily we got our food quickly and my children ate peacefully-ish . I got the diner’s special breakfast that came with two eggs, 4 – 5 pieces of bacon, hash browns, a HUGE cinnamon roll, and coffee. My son got the blueberry pancakes kids meal that came with about 5 pancakes. The description says they’re silver dollar sized but they’re much bigger. He also got milk and a Alice of bacon. For all that, $ 17.50 wasn’t bad, plus we had plenty of leftovers.

Came out with a few friends for breakfast after a long night at Pechanga. When we got here around 10am with a group of 8 and was seated in about 10 min. Server came by right away and took our orders and was very nice. During the period we waited the owner stopped by our table to see how everything was going and that was really cool. We all got our order and must of us got the sample breakfast with sausage, tri tip, etc and it was well cooked, great taste, and good portions. Would be coming here again for sure.

This past weekend my friends Marites and Guy found out that we were going to be in Temecula for the Big Horse Corn Maze, so they invited us for dinner at Richie’s Real American Diner. While we were waiting for them to arrive, Kathy and I did a Unilocal search and pulled up the menu — as a result, by the time our friends got there, we both knew what we wanted. Since Richie’s serves steak and barbecue on Saturday and Sunday, I went with the Triple BBQ Combo($ 13.95) — this is a huge plate of two slices of smoked, sliced Tri-Tip steak, two St. Louis«Killer Ribs,» and a BBQ sliced chicken breast, served with coleslaw and pinto beans in a smoky sauce and mixed with real bacon pieces, along with a sourdough roll. As you can imagine, it sounds good — and for the most part, it was good. I say for the most part, as the chicken breast was actually kinda disappointing; it was a bit bland, with the only flavor being from the sauce. The ribs and tri-tip were definitely on point — in fact, I was so full that I ended up bringing half my order home! In addition, I had ordered a Diet Cherry Coke($ 2.55, plus .40 for cherry flavor) — they bring out your drink in a milkshake cup! Kathy’s order was for the Country Sampler Platter($ 10.95) — it’s a couple of slices of Tri-Tip, kielbasa sausage, and Ozark glazed ham, served with mashed potatoes, country gravy, dinner roll, and homestyle green beans that also had sauteed onion and bacon. She loved everything she ate, and what she couldn’t put away she brought home as well. Guy had ordered the full rack of St. Louis«Killer Ribs»($ 18.95), which came with the beans and coleslaw. We helped him finish off the ribs, as once he saw how big the order was, he knew he couldn’t finish it all.(And that was another reason why Kathy and I couldn’t finish our dinners.) Marites’ dinner was the Real Cobb Salad($ 9.95) — she substituted extra avocado for the bacon, and gave her chicken to her husband. We got to Richie’s at the right time — as the evening went on, the place got more full. The ambiance is like an old-school 50s-diner, and the service is above par(although, they were a bit slow at times). In fact, Richie’s cofounder was making his rounds around the tables, and he did a great job making sure we were happy with our orders; how often do you see a restaurant owner do that? There’s even old-school treats and memorabilia being sold at the entrance. Overall, a great time was had with good food and good friends. Looking forward to future visits(especially after seeing pictures of the GINORMOUS cinnamon bun!) — and we may even head out to the Richie’s location in Rancho Cucamonga.
