Old Town Pub & Grub

My husband and I wandered into Old Town Pub & Grub on a bar hopping date night. We didn’t order food but we each had a drink. The ambiance is nice, as I really enjoyed sitting out near the sidewalk watching everyone go by. My husband had a beer and you can’t go wrong with it. I ordered a Cosmopolitan and it was alright. Not the best Cosmo in Old Town but more drinkable than others I have ordered. I don’t think I would order the same drink again.
They have a full menu which has a variety of good, and somewhat basic, food. The prices seem fair.

Great venue for a night out. It is the service that made it stand out. While dancing, an idiot runs by and knocks my drink out of my hand. I tell the story the bartender to ask him if he could replace the half drink that was spilled. He replaced it with a new full drink. This little gesture made our night memorable and keep us happy to keep on dancing!

A wonderful, fun, open place with an amazing bartender (Carlos) and a cook (Chris) who came and talked with us about our food. Carlos is a wonderful bartender and an amazing person. If you’re looking for a fun bar that’s relaxed and laid back, you’ll be happy here.

Another Old Town bar/​restaurant that is messed up. Food is pretty good, location great, but service… SLOW. There were not many people there on a sunny afternoon but everything took a long time to show up. Order drinks, ten minutes later they arrive. Order an app and a burger. About 20 minutes later the app shows up. Order one more drink, you guessed it. Ten minutes later the drink shows up. We were not in a rush but you know when you have that feeling that something is just wrong? Want to like it but probably not going back. To the owner, pay attention to your business and it could be amazing.

We stopped by here on the way back to wine country because they had a band. The bartender was not friendly but the drink was good. A lot of sketchy younger people made our visit a little less than comfortable. The band was amateurish but reflected the whole experience. A little training for the staff maybe in order on how to deliver a better guest experience

Good food and drinks, price is reasonable. Staff is great. Live music on certain nights. Cool little spot.

Wow! Pub and grub, had a blast at this hot spot. Great food, great service, my drink was never empty, loved that Christian and Shannon took time to make sure we had a fantastic experience. Awesome atmosphere. Every time we go there we love it. We’ll be back for sure!

My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in a private room towards the back of the restaurant. Shannon, the manager, was extremely helpful and friendly with the reservations and dinner service. Orders were taken promptly, food was delicious and fairly priced. The ambiance was comfortable and laid back, just what we wanted. Next time you are in Old Town Temecula, give this place a try!

Ok time to update. BLACK MARKET HEFEWEIZEN. Is Back! Big ups to Shannon, She continues to make this the place to be in old town. Great food, Great beer and a fun, on top of it staff. Way to go Shannon and crew. This place rocks !

Best bar in temecula! First time here. Carlos made us feel right at home. We really appreciate the great service. Awesome draft beer selection and good food. We will definitely be back!!!

This place is awesome they have an outdoor seating where you can get drinks our bartender was Bronson he was super friendly, recommended drinks and other places to go while we spent our first time down in the Temecula area. Thanks you for a good start to the night.

Hubby and I came here on a Wednesday night to check out Daryl William’s open mic night… i wasn’t about to step on stage, but I heard it is the place to be and listen to some fabulous music! We were so lucky that Ashling «Biscuit» cole was the guest star of the night (girl has a fabulous voice!)
we made the trek up to temecula (about 45 minutes from home)…arrived around 8. I laughed at a friend who told me to be there by 6 to get a table… well he wasn’t kidding! the place was PACKED! we headed into the bar to grab a drink first… then returned to the music room. wow! i wish we had a place in my neighborhood that was this neighborhoody… seriously…everyone here seemed to know each other and it was the thing to do on a Wednesday night!
we spotted a couple friends who had primo seats and they invited us to join them. yay!
after a bit we realized we knew a handful of people here. It was a super fun night! i would totally love to come back again. It’s a bit far for me on a school/​work night (i was on spring break at the time)…but this summer I will make a point of coming up here.

PS — great beer selection here… and you can upsize it to a giant mug! cocktails are in a pint glass (the way it should be)…not those tiny one’s you get in the gaslamp

I absolutely love this place! Went there the other day and had a great experience.
They have a phenomenal atmosphere, I got to sit facing the street which was nice because then I got to watch all the fun hustle and bustle of old town. It started to get cold so one of the employees was kind enough to bring a heater over which warmed me up right away.
The food was delicious, We had a pizza (I apologize but I do forget the name of it) and it was very good. I also got to try the Burger and Fries which is definitely my favorite! (Highly Recommend you give it a go). The food has a very fresh with a homemade vibe, they definitely give the other Old Town restaurants a run for their money!
Then there was the Beer, they have a excellent selection including many Craft Beers which are my favorite so I was in heaven. After ordering my first beer and talking with my bartender about the kinds of beers I prefer he recommended an IPA to me which I ended up ordering and loving.
I’ve been served by both bartenders Carlos and Anthony, and I received excellent service from both. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for awhile, so I pay a lot more attention to service and find myself holding my fellow servers to a higher standard than other people and these guys went beyond my expectation!

The service was wonderful, greeted by three employees as I walked to my table. My waitress was Cambria and she suggested the Spicy Burger for me and completely sold me on the fries. Absolutely delicious! She noticed my St. Paddys Days nails and suggested an Irish Mule to drink. The bartender Carlos was charming, hilarious and makes a great drink. So happy I spent my Sunday morning on their patio checking out old town.

First let me just say this review is for the ‘club’ pub n grub turns into at night, I’ve never actually had any food here.
When you walk up to pub you’re greeted by security, I don’t really understand why they have to touch your entire body and make you take out all your stuff from your pockets? Great now everyone knows I take beano. … Like people could still hide stuff in their shoes. Dude… you’re tickling me, stop touching my hole. Also they only touch the boys… THAT’S SEXIST!!! I mean maybe if the guy was really cute I’d be okay with the touching, please hire hotties.
They charge a $ 5 cover which is whatever. At least have some of your space heaters working if you’re going to charge us… NONE of them were working and it was cold out! And don’t even think about putting your hood on, it may be cold as balls out and none of the space heaters are working but it’s not okay to put your hoodie on to keep warm, because you’re clearly in a gang and trying to start a fight.
Oh yeah let’s just talk about the dance floor, constantly covered in a sticky substance… could be bodily fluids could be straight glue, who knows, but the staff gives zero fcks.
They play a lot of ghetto music, the drinks are fine, the crowd is cool I usually know a handful of people, lots of good looking people in old town.

Great place to hit up if you want to sit outside along old town Front Street. Food is good, but service is slow unfortunately. Nachos are a large portion and good! Saturday afternoon on a typical busy day as its beautiful outside and they have one bartender taking care of the bar and the entire front patio — which is full. Bummer. Bathrooms need to be maintained way better as well.
Update:2/10/16: We came here as a large group for a going away party on Wednesday and service, atmosphere and food was great! Shannon really made our experience so fantastic! She didn’t forget an order, she followed up often and totally went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. Would totally book another large gathering here again!

My husband and I were driving up from San Diego back to L.A. and we stopped in Temecula for a quick bite to eat and to avoid some traffic. We called around to a few places and they all had long waits so we stopped into Old Town Pub & Grub. This place was very spacious and the service was nice. I really was wanting the nachos but was told they were in the process of changing the menu and would not be serving tortilla chips anymore (really? kind of weird but ok). I ordered the quesadilla and was pleased. It wasn’t the BEST quesadilla I’ve ever had but it was definitely good and we left happy. I’m not sure if I would go out of my way to come here but because we were hungry and was looking to get out of traffic, this place definitely met our needs.
When we stopped in, they were getting ready for someone’s 50^th Birthday party which had a huge turnout! We were probably the only people in there who wasn’t for the party. I was bummed we didn’t get to see the birthday person but we were definitely like «Wow what a huge turnout for this guy, that’s exciting!» so… this place definitely seemed like a great place for a big group or celebration.

My first time downtown in Temecula I didn’t know what to expect! Our party came here for drinks while we waited for our table at another restaurant. They ran out of a lot of beers we wanted but the bartenders were friendly and helpful and made sure we order something else we liked. They have booths that are set up super cool! Great atmosphere and spacious!
