Ordered 5 rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole. The cheese and guacamole was only on half of the tacos. The guac was so watered down with pico. Couldn’t taste the guac. And it wouldn’t stay on the tacos. lastly there was maybe a pencil lead amount of meat in the tacos. 5 rolled tacos for $ 5.00? More like 5 corn tortillas for $ 5.00. So sad.

Amazing fresh food cooked just perfectly. It’s inside the shell but don’t let that fool you. One of the best I’ve ever had!

I eat here at least once a week. Very polite staff and quick on getting my order prepared. I would recommend this place to my family and friends and prices are reasonable

Without getting into a two or three paragraph review about a taco joint located In a gas station, I’ll say this: If this place was open 24 hours, Alberto’s would be out of business. It’s authentic Mexican food at an amazing price. There wet pastor burrito was to die for and being connected to a gas station ensures great fountain drink prices! Salsa selection is a little light, but portions are huge, menu is vast, and the workers are all super friendly bringing you fresh food in a timely manner.

Great burritos try the Temecula Carne asada or the southwest chicken. It’d in a gas station nothing fancy but the food is great.

OK, so this place is in a gas station(the Shell station at the corner of Ynez Road and Solana Way, to be exact). But aren’t some of the best hole-in-the-wall eateries in odd places? I have to admit, I’ve never eaten lunch or dinner here. It’s strictly a breakfast place for me. My favorite thing on the menu is the potato-egg-and-cheese breakfast burrito. It’s a bargain at $ 3, considering you get a massive burrito(ten inches long and three inches wide) stuffed with, well, potatoes, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese. And, they provide a couple of small cups of fresh salsa to go with it. Since it’s a small place, they cook your food to order and deliver it hot and fresh right into your waiting hands. Since it’s basically a serving counter inside the gas station convenience store, there’s nowhere to sit adjacent to the restaurant. Likewise, they don’t sell drinks. But you can buy those separately from the convenience store and then use the tables on the other side of the store to sit down and eat. Or, take your food and go! I don’t eat here more than once every other week, since I’m sure I don’t want the calories. But I’m still drawn back from time to time by a craving for an excellent breakfast burrito. Four stars for the food quality. Minus one star for the ambiance.

I love this place, it reminds me of the taco trucks up in Chico. It’s in the shell station, but don’t worry, it’s legit. The mini carnitas and carne aside tacos are tasty with lots of onions and cilantro. And the regular tacos are great as well. I will try everything there, they have a huge menu with good prices. They’re a little slow, but worth the wait. Also they’re open til 1 or later.
