Some nourishment in between the penny slot play After hours of physically demanding button-pushing on Pechanga’s battery of slot machines, we needed rest & something in our tummies to gather a second wind. Looking not to spend very much, even though I did win money to cover lunch, we spied the offerings at Pechanga’s food court. Chinese food a la Hong Kong Express?- naw Pizza & pasta? — maybe All-American food? — naw Fried chicken? — possibly Café? — no Mexican food? — sure, why not? Agave Mexican Delights offers made to order Mexican food, including nachos, burritos, fajitas and other favorites. After a quick glance, I went with a carne asada fajita plate, with 2 corn tortillas & choice of black beans. A little under $ 9, the carne asada fajita plate proved to be a decent meal. The portions were good, and while not extraordinary, I found my order to be the best bet(pun intended) compared to the other food court options. I filled up for not a lot, raring for more hot loose slot action. Seating is inside the, you guessed it, food court, with tables & a few booths. Service was good, as I was given more plastic cups, per request, for the salsa bar. Undecided between fried chicken or Mexican food, I was happy with choosing Agave Mexican Delights. I believed they have the most bang for the buck amongst the food court options, and the food is a tad bit healthier, IMHO. Being a captive audience, we’re stuck with whatever’s available in the casino, but for looking to not spend too much, Agave Mexican Delights did the trick for me. BTW, I played penny slots with 20 lines, which yours truly bringing home the motherlode of a hefty $ 40 ;p Cha-Ching! Pro-Tip — Agave nectar is higher in fructose than high fructose corn syrup, causing inflammation & fat storage. Real maple syrup & raw honey are better sugar sources.

Even Taco Bell puts this place to shame. The food is basically tasteless, worst chicken burrito I’ve had, mostly fillers, no flavor. It’s really a unfortunate because everyone likes Mexican food, right? Even when the food court is busy on a weekend evening there’s virtually no line here and now you know why. Bad Mexican food in southern California is a sin. What I don’t understand is why the Baja Express at the Pechanga Gas Station can serve up above average Mexican food and this place is just plain awful. But in reality there’s really no eatery in the casino that has glaring reviews, but the chili hotdog cart is really good! If management reads their reviews, they must not care. People when hungry often eat subpar grub so why improve it? Speaking of Taco Bell, put one in the food court and get rid of the Mexican food experiment they have now, it ain’t working. I think all Unilocalers are saying the same thing.

This place sucks. The food has little flavor. I got the Carne asada burrito. Which sounds really good… But it’s not. it was really rubbery, hard, and overcooked, no flavor. The rice had carrots and peas in it. I swear they just took it straight from some fried rice from the Chinese place across the court. The burger place right next to it wasn’t bad.

The food is edible, but that’s about it. Minimal flavor and most of it comes from a can or reheated from plastic bags. The ONLY reason I ate here is because it had the shortest line(I now know why) and it was comped. Don’t eat here if you have to pay for it. Even the employees wondered why any person would pay to eat here.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such tasteless Mexican food… although it was free thanks to Pechanga, I would never go back to this place again nor do I recommend it. My girlfriend and I shared a California burrito combo plate(picture attached). Size was okay, but the overall plate was just super disappointing. The burrito came out fresh, but it was all downhill from there since nothing honestly had any flavor in it. Beans and rice were just extremely bland in my opinion. Carne Asada was okay… the guacamole, which is always a deal breaker for me, had a weird flavor to it and I ended up biting a piece of avocado skin? No bueno for me…

This is the only place I like to eat in the Pechanga food court. They have a variety of options, not just tacos and burritos. You can get a bowl or tostada salad and other things. I love getting the nachos with carne asada and the carne asada burrito always satisfies me as well. Plus they have a decent self serve salsa bar which I love cuz I always like different salsa options.

Having tried almost all of the food court offerings at Pechanga, I decided to give Agave Mexican Delights a shot. Granted, they are overpriced like the rest of the food court places, but here you definitely get your money’s worth. I tried an order of their super nachos with carne asada… and the order was so huge, I had to ask my girlfriend if she could help me finish it off.(Given how delicious it looked, she readily agreed.) The carne asada wasn’t too bad; the spices used gave it a bit of a mild kick. I kinda wished that there was more guacamole, and that I could have asked to swap the cheese sauce for shredded cheese instead. Still, the nachos filled us up for a few hours, so they did their job. I do want to try their carnitas, so maybe more visits are in order.
