Zen is more of a take-​out style Chinese restaurant. The food is fresh and «healthy» for chinese food, which is why I give them 3 stars (3.5 really). I believe they do cater to the Jewish community, so it may also be kosher.
It’s Inexpensive, they deliver, and they are always open.
If you’re in the Teaneck area, it’s a must try.

Okay so the lady that answers the phone has the worst (WORST) phone manners. WHy am leaving a positive review then? Well, she’s a sweetheart in person, kind of. She has nice tendencies and the food I order is always good. I love the tofu fried rice, it is my guilty pleasure. The delivery guy is super cute and sweet and he doesn’t make a fuss about the tip, so I tip him well. They hve a good business going on

Got a pretty large delivery order from here, including multiple rolls of sushi and a custom order of chicken. Got to Englewood in less than 45 mins, and everything was still hot. Everyone liked what they got but I only got to taste a few things.
The lo mein noodles were really good and didn’t taste like every other place, but the beef was a little rubbery. The sushi was better than I expected, but I don’t think I’d order that again because everything else we got was better.

The people that work here are extremely disrespectful. The Asian lady in particular, who by the way looks like she doesn’t get any sleep (probably why she’s so angry all the time) is rude every single time I order something. There are so many other places in Teaneck and in the area where you can go instead of this place that has better food quality and service. On another negative, the pork fried rice is EXTREMELY oily.

Finally found a great Asian take out place around New Milford! After trying and spending lots of money on poor take out I was about to not order from anymore Asian restaurants but the we found this gem! Very impressed with the quality and quickness of the food. We got the bourbon chicken which was fantastic along with wonton soup, crab Rangoon and sushi. The sushi was very fresh and had plenty of fish in the rolls. Definitely will order again from here!

I like the food sometimes. Sometimes it tastes good and other times it tastes off I swear sometimes it feels like I’m eating fried rat, no joke. One thing i hate is when I call, the person who answers the phone is always rushing me. I mean I can’t even get two words in sometimes. But you know what, I work closeby n they are just convenient. I just don’t like their customer service because they rush me n don’t acknowledge me sometimes. It kinda hurts. N they can’t use the «sorry I’m Asian» excuse. If I spoke French and didn’t know English but ran a business. I would charm the hell out of my customers without word. I definitely wouldn’t be nasty

I gave it one star because I love Pad Thai and their Pad Thai is very bland and flavorless. The egg rolls taste really weird too. I liked the Soy Sesame Chicken but they are a bit on the rough side so you have to really chew through it all. If I ever order from them again I’ll try something different, like sushi. But for now, this is definitely not my favorite for Pad Thai. Sorry

Great lunch prices and great value.
Ordered crab ragoon, sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice, egg roll and can of diet coke all for $ 10 can’t beat it.
I’ve ordered from other Chinese food places in the area and this one is by far the best quality. They have a large variety to choose from whether it be chicken and broccoli or sushi.

BEWARE OF YOUR HEALTH! I ordered some take out the other day. While serving my family some of our dinner I happened to see something peculiar on our shrimp tempura. At first, I had hoped it was only a black sesame seed or some burnt grain but it was actually a mouse dropping!!! Of course, after seeing that there was no way we could continue our meal. Who knows what the rest of our meal would reveal.
I went back to the restaurant with the evidence in hand. The woman at the register only refunded me back for that particular item. The money is not my biggest concern. Rather, I feel they would have at least faked more concern for this disgusting find.
It has been reported to the health department. Until something is done, you have been warned about their attentiveness to cleanliness and organization.

I love Zen Kitchen! I found out about this place, from my godmother (the only place she’ll order from) and now my co-​worker won’t eat anywhere but here. I promise that no matter what you try you will love it! They cook the food here super fast!
