Great place to do work! It has a great Brooklyn warehouse vibe, smack dab in the center of the funky Taylor’s Mill art studio area. If you haven’t been, just rely on your GPS. . it is not leading you someplace scary! Haha. The only downside is that it’s always a little bit chilly, and the pastry selection is limited. They don’t offer any other food options, so get there early! I’ll have to come back to check out their evening music/bar scene one weekend

I’ve been really happy with the beans at Due South! It’s a little out of the way, but it’s hard to beat the freshness of picking up beans right where they roast them. And they give you a free pour over with each bag of beans you buy.

Great coffee!!! Good beer. Foodstuffs is ok. Very unique place and is one of a kind. Love the local art on the wall. Plenty of parking. Best in town. But there are a lot of down sides. It’s completely overrated. There is very few seating and this place gets crowded often(don’t come on Sunday, the bible thumpers flood the place). Wifi is mediocre but slows down with too many people. They close at 9pm! They don’t have AC and heat. And the sheer amount of hipsters here is ungodly. They’re located in the middle nowhere. You should still come, even with all the down sides. I don’t even drink that much coffee.

Great coffee, great ambience and friendly service. The location is fun too since my visitors always wonder why I am taking them to a remote part of an industrial area and that scares them a little. They are always pleasantly surprised at how cool it is inside.

Hello! I love the atmosphere of an old building loft style turned into alternative remedy hip café. Can stay here for hours with enough heating in the winters or air conditioning in the summers. Love sofa area… Can I bring a blanket?

Disappointed as they have now switched vendors for getting their baked goods. Was told delivery is now only week days. So you go in on Sunday’s and everything is gone. One should not survive on coffee alone.

I live in Taylors and really want to love this place, but their hours make it prohibitive. The one time I went in, the coffee and service were great. However, who wants to wait until 9:00 to get coffee and breakfast?! It’s pretty ridiculous. I got excited about getting some French press coffee for my lazy Sunday today, but they don’t open til noon on Sunday. Seriously?! By that time, I’ve had my coffee, breakfast, and lunch. I really want to give these guys by business, but guess I’m not the clientele they’re looking for.

OHMYGOD. So husband and I were recommended this place by «Southern Growl,» the growler station near Wade Hampton. They do collaborations with beer, apparently, and the man pouring the beer said this was a must see. HEWASRIGHT! So driving into the mill the first time I though I was in Detroit which was amazing. Talk about your abandoned porn fix. We drive up to this place that doesn’t look like it has been fixed much beyond a few flowers and see some signs of life(people walking around). We see the sign and go in… BEAUTIFULLYDECORATED! BEERONTAPTOO! We did have to wait a while for the single waitress to make our order(looked like a multistep process) of a flight of coffee. But it was delicious! She said they had a lot of bigger things coming. I noticed it was a lot of college age, youthful looking customers, which is fun to see. The entire Mill area was to die for, walked around inside other areas a good bit and it was breathtakingly beautiful in there. Cannot wait till the grand opening of the mill. BRAVO!!!

Get the fresh roasted coffee beans to grind at home! Got enough for my hubby as a gift, and it’s like I got him a new present with every cup he brews! If you have a coffee lover in your life, you can’t go wrong!

The first place I always scout for when I hit the road are the local coffee shops(followed by the handmade jewelry and pottery joints). I have only been to Taylors SC twice to visit, but this time I was fortunate enough to discover Due South. Wicked cool spot. Thankfully my friend who is from Taylors was driving, because I probably would have thought I was driving onto the set of an old horror flick. Abandoned warehouses, bumpy roads, railroad tracks, sparse lighting; perfect set up. Its a big beautiful open warehouse. There is no unnecessary furniture and décor crowding up the place. Definitely a minimalist vibe. All perfect points for a coffee spot. Anyway, when I walked in, both guys behind the counter greeted me. They were casual, friendly and knowledgable. Any questions I had about the coffee, the menu, where they acquire their beans, their roasting process, anything, they had thoughtful, unscripted answers. I definitely appreciate that. Lets me know they are informed, and appreciate the process and work that goes into a good cup of coffee. I can’t remember the roast that I had, but it had a slightly nutty flavor. It was smooth, not bitter, but with a little bite and no aftertaste. Thumbs up guys! Next time I am in Taylors, I will definitely buy a couple of bags of their beans. Kind of like keychains or magnets, silly hats and things people pick up when they travel; my souvenirs are always bags of coffee. So much delicious coffee. Im sure locals already know the splendor that is Due South, but those of you who are visitors, or on your own lithe coffee tour of SC(which I will make happen soon enough!), make your way to Due South.

It’s an out of the way place and hard to find(about half way down the mill on the right) but the coffee is very good. Less«bite» than Starbucks. Roasted on location. My only suggestion is that you ask for the coffee«extra hot». Otherwise, it cools off pretty quickly. I like my coffee HOT!

They say — ‘Sometimes you have to lose your way to find it’! Due South Coffee is hidden away from plain sight but you will be delighted when you find it. Located in a lonely corner away from the city near the Taylor’s Mill. The moment you enter, you would start appreciating the raw character this place has — Brick Walls, Huge wooden doors, Wooden plank benches, Drums and the Bulbs hanging from the ceiling. The bar setup at the counter makes it a Coffee Bar in true sense. The Baristas are courteous and quite friendly. Now for the Coffee — We spoke to one of them who said, they source their coffees from a lot of farmers locally and also from Brazil, Columbia and other parts of South America. We had the Mocha and the Latte which were great. A must visit for all you Coffee Enthusiasts out there!

I went to try the espresso and study for several upcoming tests. Good experience. The barista in the morning(a young dark haired young woman) was not friendly at all– not rude just not friendly. The older red head in the late morning early afternoon was friendlier. i plan to go back really soon.

We were looking for a nice place to have a nice cup of coffee with a friend. What we found was a hidden treasure. Nestled in Taylor’s Historic Mill, this gem will be forever seared into my mind as what a true coffee bar should be. The look and presentation of the drinks and the atmosphere are the whole authentic deal. We had the most amazing drink. The Orange Brulee Americano is a masterpiece that combines a spiced butter with espresso in an incredible artistic presentation of cinnamon, orange, and sugar. I cannot wait to come back here and see what other magical drinks I can try out.

I found this gem last week and has quickly become my «go to» even though there are about 3 – 4 shops closer. The barista is amazing and takes her time making sure that she not makes a great coffee, but also presents it beautifully. I highly recommend Due South! This will be the one place I will take any out-of-town guests to! As far as the atmosphere, I can’t say enough! From the digital grand in one corner to the tasting table in another, this place is overflowing with character!

Due South Coffee Roasters: This place is a hidden treasure. Tucked away in a corner of Taylor’s Historic Mill, you wouldn’t know about the place if you hadn’t heard the whispers. You wouldn’t find it, if it weren’t for the lonely, yet elegant pallet wood sign hanging from the corner. It has been a long time since I visited a place that wasn’t afraid to be itself, proud and ultimately unique. Due South boasts a knowledgeable staff with unmatched talent. Perfectly roasted coffee, all in house, with blends from the various corners of the world. Enough caffeine to get you going, enough flavor to make a bag of Starbacks cry, utterly envious. Latté here is art, almost too pretty to consume. Almost. The ambiance is exactly what it needs to be. The Edison bulbs hang exposed from the ceiling above the bar, dignified and glowing more in pride than to create the light. The tall ceilings and brick walls, exposed and rustic, give the steam coming off your coffee heights to aspire to. Couches sit, waiting to envelope you in their warm embrace. I eat it up, all of it, from top to bottom. Damn, these guys are doing it right here. I will be back.

I found it on my second visit there(it was hard to find before they put up their sign)!. What a «find». Friendly, knowledgeable baristas. At least weekly roastings of ethiopian, brazilian, guatemalan goodness«on prem.» Though I dont drink latte, some of the coolest«latte art» I’ve seen. Live music in evenings! Great spot. worth a trip as its a little off the beaten path(unless you live in downtown Taylors)!

You’re on to something Due South Coffee Roasters… Everything was right about this place… First I was wowed by the location… the old creepy abandoned mill that’s being revitalized. I think I would go to a shifty mill for coffee any day of the week if you told me it was there, but this place is magical. The space inside is the converted mill… super spacious, super well decorated for what it is, and oddly, super warm feeling. I wanted to stay here longer on the big leather couch and stare at the roasting stuff just to relax and phase out. It’s just a comfortable place. The baristas were something great as well. They take their coffee roasting and making seriously… VERYSERIOUSLY… but not in a pretentious way. They know their stuff… and suggested a sampling to my friend with pallet cleaning soda water in between an espresso shot and a latte that made sense and heightened the appreciation of the flavors… but it’s so important to note again that they’re nice about it. It’s nearly impossible to find the combination of a «coffee snob» barista who is super nice… that’s really what they are here. And Greenville/Taylors should treasure that. They have a decent selection of baked goods as well… I had the vegan peanut butter cookie and really enjoyed it… but the coffee was above and beyond good… as well you would expect from my above paragraph. Also the prices are great. There’s just something awesome about this place that you have to experience in person… so if you’re in Greenville… or Taylors which is kinda Greenville but not… you need to go.
