Sorry-I hate to drop my review rating. Don’t get me wrong, the food and staff and ambiance are still wonderful! Though, I drive out here specifically to work, and of the three times I’ve been here, the internet has been a nightmare THREE times. It’s something they are dealing with, and it’s been a struggle. Fortunately, I can connect to the mobile hotspot on my phone, but that’s expensive, and the whole point of going to cafes(for me, anyway) is to work. So, it’s unfortunate, but I won’t go here anymore.

This is my husband and my favorite place to come for coffee when visiting family in Greer. The staff is friendly, coffee is always good and hot. Sometimes we get coffee to go, so our son can watch the freight trains pass by down the street. Life can’t get any better.

Good quality coffee and the prices are reasonable but something is missing in this place, the décor is very dated, the services is just ok, have all those refrigerators placed in many places, the adds or papers stick on the main door don’t make the place looks chic and cozy. In the back of the salon is a very plain and bored. The place have potential but needs a make over very bad. They owners should play contemporary jazz or music like that that make you want to stay.

This has been my go to lunch spot since day they opened! Lisa is a great gal. She is a working owner, full hands on. This makes a great difference. Her husband works along side her and both recognize their customers and appreciate return guests. Variety of sandwiches and salads. Soup of day is always good. Give Stomping Ground a visit. You will come back!

Stomping Grounds is a great place to go study and sip coffee or hang out with friends. Their prices are average. They have lots of yummy looking sweets but they need some cookies! Sometimes it gets a little noisy during the high times, but the live music is fun.

The coffee was good and the food was nice. It just takes forever for the food, because there is only one person working here. The location and ambiance are beautiful, and they are super nice. A great place to read a book or just to talk with a friend. Plus they serve beer with is nice.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the Greer/Greenville area. The owners are awesome and so personable! The coffee shop itself is small and cute! It stays busy but it’s never too crowded or overbearing like corporate coffee shops. If you want a good coffee, the Southern Pecan pour over is delicious! I recommend it :-) And they have really good sandwiches as well! It’s just overall a great place to get coffee or lunch and hang out!

I just love this place. I’m not a wine or coffee gal, but I’m quick to suggest we hit Stomping Grounds because they have the best hot chocolate, hands down. I love the environment. It’s family friendly but then also is great for a date night! I love their seating options! From a little table for 2 looking out to the street, to a larger table and sofas which are perfect for board games or just relaxing with a good book. They always have some sort of live music going on when I go in, either bluesy or bluegrassy — which I’m not overly a fan of either — but sitting in there and listening is just fitting and I find I really enjoy it. I haven’t tried too much off the menu, other than«sides» for my hot chocolate, like their cookies — which are delicious. Hands down my favorite little place to stop into in downtown Greer.

Good Food. Drinks. Atmosphere. I like to go here and relax with my boo. This coffee shop is located in a perfect place for us. The parking is scarce if it is not walking distance for you. The price is not that bad. The pastries are so good. The salads are delicious and very sizable. All around great place.

This place is awesome. Has a variety of seating options. From tall bar stools at the window, to family sized tables and couches there are plenty accommodations whatever the size of your group may be. There is a whole shelf full of board games to play if that’s your thing. I got a caramel latte and my wife got an iced coffee and both were outstanding. The place is very homey and the location is in picturesque downtown Greer. I love this location as it is not extremely busy but not completely deserted.

This place makes me happy because they are pretty good at everything they do. The first several times that I went to Stomping Grounds has been for breakfast. The Raspberry Chiptotle Breakfast Burrito. I really don’t have much more to say. The name just really makes me happy to even think about. I’m not a coffee drinker, but my friend who comes along with me to breakfast likes their coffee. I’m more of a Chai Latte girl, and as far as those go, they have one of the best in the upstate I’ve had. They aren’t the kind of place that I would recommend going if you have somewhere to be quickly because the service is a little slow, but each time we have been in it has gotten a little bit quicker. It isn’t slow enough that I wouldn’t keep going back. The last thing you need to know is that they are open for wining. Yes, they are a great spot for having a nice glass of wine with friends or with a good book. They also started having tastings and milkshakes of JB’s Proof. If you haven’t had it yet go get some NOW. It is boozy ice cream. Yes. They have finally found a way to make liquor frozen enough to make ice cream out of it. If for no other reason, go for the taste.

Amazing place! Visiting from chicago and I must admit that I had my doubts about finding this type of coffee shop(Great coffee with a hipster vibe) but i was very impressed! Super friendly staff, a crazy selection of flavors and AMAZING baked goods! This place is a must the next time I’m in town!

We used this café as a venue for a bridal shower. It was perfect! The venue is very casual with abstract paintings on the walls and local pottery on display. They were extremely accommodating and prepared a delicious array of ham and turkey wraps, spinach and artichoke dip, and pasta salad with lemonade, coffee, and sweet tea as beverages. They let us rearrange the furniture for the party. If I lived in the Greenville area, I would go back! The owner was really friendly and told us about a ladies’ night his wife runs the second Tuesday of every month with meal/beverage deals and jewelry/make-up/accessory vendors set up with specials in the restaurant. Wish I lived there so I could check it out!

This little café is too cute! Plus, I had an awesome cup of coffee here and I definitely recommend you try out some of the baked goods. I had a chocolate chip cookie and it was nothing short of divine.

I really enjoyed this little coffee place. I was visiting a friend, and while he was out working, I decided to check this place out mainly because I was looking for a place where I could get a sandwich. I didn’t feel like going all the way to the city, and I wanted to stick in Greer, and this place sounded good. So, since I came here for the sandwiches, let’s talk about those first. You can get your panini fix with the Cliff(ham, bacon, provolone, grilled onions, and a tangy raspberry chipotle sauce), a turkey or roast beef panini, or a DD Special(ham, provolone, grilled onions, and a spicy pineapple habanero sauce). They also offer classics like a club, BLT, chicken salad sandwich, and more unusual fare like their Gyro and pimento cheese sandwiches(in addition to a classic grilled cheese and grilled ham/cheese). These are all VERY reasonably priced, at $ 5 – 6AND they come with a side(your choice of pasta salad, chips/pickle, side salad, pretzel, or hummus/carrots). There’s also a Pick 2 Combo Option for $ 5.95 that gives you ½ a sandwich and a side salad or cup of soup. I decided on The Cliff. The bread was nicely crisped, and the ham spilled abundantly over the side. ANDGUESSWHAT, GUYS? THEYUSEDREALBACON. I have been to plenty of places that use pre-cooked, and you can really tell a difference. Granted it was only a slice or 2, but I’d prefer a single slice of legit bacon over 4 pieces of pre-cooked bacon, any day. The raspberry/chipotle mixture was definitely more of a jam-y consistency and taste. I didn’t really get a lot of the chipotle taste, but the balance of raspberry and ham was strangely delicious. The side I chose was the chips/pickle, which was just a handful of plain Lay’s chips. I was expecting something a little crisper, so I’d probably get a different side next time. OKAY. Now on to coffee. They offer a lot of different kinds, but I was charmed by the French Press on the menu. Also, the website is wrong. They currently offer one size, which is the medium, for $ 3.50. If you’re into French pressed coffee, you won’t be disappointed! Presentation was A-plus because they actually brought out a French press. I was giddy. I love the wonderful flavor: bitterness is leached out, leaving you with a delicious coffee that can easily be consumed black. I got some sort of light Jamaican roast, which was delicious. Also, it stayed hot FOREVER. As in, I was there around 3pm, I ran some errands, then went back to my friends’ place and it was STILL warm at 6pm. That’s an ouch waiting to happen. Now that we’ve talked about the food and beverages, on to the ambiance! Very homey and warm, and kind of… Hip? I don’t know if that’s exactly the right word, but it reminds me of a casual atmosphere, where indie kids go for a post-study coffee break. There was a lot of utilization of wooden furniture and large, expansive family-style tables. Also some couches. There were mostly families when I went there, so I’m not really certain of the general clientele. PROS: Affordable and yummy food. Plenty of seating – from couches to small tables, to family-style seats. Friendly staff, and it seems to be family owned. Neat. Cozy atmosphere, and it was pretty quiet. Seems like a great place to study. You get an entire French Press(when you order that drink) for only $ 3.50! Roughly about 3 cups. They have a free Customer Loyalty card. Once you get a certain amount of points, you can get a free coffee. Definitely great for someone who comes here a lot. It counts anything you get on the card. Coffee was really good, and BESTOFALL: NOTBITTER. Yay! CONS: Training someone new at the cash register, so the time was a bit more than I thought it would be, but not unbearable. Probably around 12 minutes. They were apologetic about it, which I appreciated. I think the wifi was free, but it wouldn’t let me in. I didn’t see any passwords at the desk, and I felt like they were too busy for me to interrupt them. My coffee was scorching hot(see above… it was hot for roughly 4 – 5 hours! Eeepp!) So I tried to cool if off with some half and half, but it was empty. I requested some, but it still hadn’t been brought out by the time I left. I could see parking being an issue from time to time. It wasn’t for me, but it appears to be strictly street parking. THEVERDICT: I think while it may be more of a 4.5 experience, they deserve to be rounded up. It seems like a relatively small, local business, and the people who run the shop are very passionate about what they do. The food is well worth the cost, and my total bill with a sandwich, side, and coffee was around $ 11. The quiet, relaxed atmosphere is very refreshing from some other busy coffee places I’ve been to, and there’s plenty of seating for any kind of comfort level. I’d come back here if I was in the area, for sure! Try some of their wine maybe, or some of their sweets, and come back and update this review.

5 stars for a coffee shop? Oh no, it is so much more! I stumbled on this place with some time to kill and was pleasantly surprised. They offer everything you would want from a café but also have a beer/wine bar and a chocolate shop on premise. Lots of seating, all with electric outlets to go with the wifi. Summary: Character, comfort, class, flavor and fun.

Wow! A little family run Café in the middle of Downtown Greer. Great Coffee. Tried a few things from the bakery and sandwich menu — all turned out to be good too. Nice casual setting with wall paintings, sofas and board games. Not your regular big-brand coffee shop — but really worth a visit if you are close by.

Located in downtown Greer, the downtown area is small and not very busy. We were able to park within a few feet of the door. The store is very eclectic and has many things to look at and enjoy. They even have old classic board games, the seating is very nice and comfortable. There is a small bakery in the back of the store«The Chocolate Toad» that makes fresh items to sell at the coffee shop. It smells amazing in here, I could stay all day. Order: French press Sumatra(dark) & Costa Rica(medium) The french press was delicious and perfectly made.
