Our family had a wonderful experience… Delicious food and great service. The entire staff was pleasant and friendly. I wish we lived closer so we could make it a regular dining spot.

Aww… The Flamingo I have some history here. I haven’t been to this wonderful, little family owned gem in a while, not because of any negative reasons. I used to go almost weekly. This was my Grandma’s favorite place. Our spot and weekly ritual. It is your typical diner with really good food. Breakfast being the star. Excellent omelettes, crispy hashbrows and fluffy golden pancakes. What’s not to like. The lunch is also good. Great salads, l love the greek, plus some great homemade soups served with a nice bread basket. Service has always been good. The owner often there to check on guest. The décor is very cute, I love it. Tropical and beachy with you guessed it all kinds of flamingos everywhere which I love. Like I said I hadn’t been here in a while. The main reason being it reminds me so much of my Gram. It makes me a little emotional. I however threw all caution to the wind Sunday morning and had a delightful breakfast, even if I did cry a little on my mushroom swiss omelette and hashbrowns. Here’s to you Gram, I sure do love and miss you;)

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten something I didn’t like. My favorite dish is their salmon dinner. Probably a weird thing to get from a small restaurant like this or maybe that’s what makes it so good. The owner is always there sitting up front and always makes it a point to smile and say hello. Oh, and their turkey noodle soup which is served on Saturday’s is awesome! I always take a quart home with me.

This is a small family owned dinner. My recent visit I had a patty melt deluxe. The patty melt was very good, lightly grilled on rye bread, grilled onions and cheese. I have to say it was one of the best Patty melts I had. The fries were crispy and good. Coleslaw was tasty too. In the past I have had their breakfast. Very good a large portion. Prices are very reasonable.

This is a family diner that serves a great breakfast. I also enjoy their sandwiches but I am not impressed with some of their dinners.

Typical Coney. Except the atmosphere is from the 1950s. Nothing special, nothingn impressive. And very high priced for the area.

I go here about twice a month with a woman I work for. She cannot get enough of this place. So, previous reviewers are right… the food is nothing to call home about. It’s good and just like any other family restaurant you’ve been to. But, what sets this place apart is the service. Even when it’s packed, your glass will always be full, your food will be hot, and your waitress won’t rush you one bit. The owner is a really nice guy named Phil who makes his rounds amongst the tables when he’s not helping out in the kitchen. It’s a family oriented restaurant and it does get pretty busy around lunchtime, but it’s the perfect«quick-stop» if you want decent food that isn’t «fast food.» The parking lot kind of sucks though. It’s a one way in and one way out, but the actual space between the two rows of spots isn’t that big. It just makes it inconvenient to back out of it to turn your car around to head around the back of the place to drive out. Oh and they close for 3 weeks every summer and are closed on Mondays.

The décor has been outdated since Miami Vice got canceled. I’d review the food, but I never got to be seated. I was on the road for work, dressed well… shirt, tie, nice slacks and shoes. I could see it was busy, but there was no line. Since I was on the clock, I asked the lady at the door if there was much of a wait. She rudely told me I was not getting in, and pointed toward the door for me to leave. Not sure if she thought I was someone else or if she was just an idiot. I can’t imagine an owner being OK with that kind of behavior, unless maybe she was the owner. Who cares. I wouldn’t go back if they were serving free lobster dinners, and I would not recommend this rat hole to an enemy.

To call this place a shit hole is being too kind. In fact, both the shit and the hole would be insulted. Ordered the pork chops and they were the color of hot pink. We tried them, quit eating and picked up some fast food on the way home. Never went back. Wish I could give zero stars.

Kitschy and friendly, with the Miami-from-the80s themed walls and a waitstaff who call you«honey.» It’s a great atmosphere to sit with friends and bask in the pink glory. The food is average. A varied menu, typical of family restaurants. But that’s not the point. You never complain about your Grandma’s food, do you? It’s about the people you’re with and the place you’re at.

We’ve all been to family style restaurants before, and yes, they are all alike. They all look the same inside, they all taste the same, and we all get the same indigestion after we leave. I stepped into this place yesterday for lunch expecting more of the same, and felt like I had walked onto a scene from ‘Grand Theft Auto: Vice City’. Everything is pink and green, with a few neon signs and 80’s music in the background. What a cool touch! The place was packed and as Dave G said, they have all the basics on the menu. Nothing spectacular, but they get the job done. The wait staff is friendly and prompt and the glasses were always kept full. The food is also reasonably priced. Everything seemed pretty standard but I enjoyed the change of atmosphere.

This is a very cozy family restaurant. They have all the basics. I got blueberry pancakes which were nice with lots of large berries. The menu looked solid but nothing special. It was packed on a Friday morning but the service was excellent!
