Loved their food. One of the best panini I have ever had. The bread is very crispy but does not taste burnt and the fries are a mix of sweet potato and regular potato both cut my favorite very thin and crispy. Defiantly one of my favorite places for lunch in LA.

I have never had a sandwich that was as delicious as the one I ordered from the Carving Board. The Blond curly hair Young girl(I am sorry dear I did not get your name) was so friendly and helpful. Everything thing seemed so good and when I asked her for suggestions, she gave me several which told me she knew the menu well. Needless to say this is my new favorite spot. My favorite is the Chophouse Burger! If you have not eaten here your missing a great meal. Joy R.

I wish I had know sandwiches can be this good. My sandwich was great, I got the Turkey Dinner, but my girlfriends sandwich, The Bentley, was absolutely incredible. I was definitely surprised by the quality of sandwiches these guys are able to manufacture. Atmosphere — fairly average for a sandwich shop Servers — good, polite, cheerful, helpful, everything you want from service industry employees. Chance of me returning — 100%

All I have to say is The Bentley. Order it and you won’t be disappointed! It comes with Blue Cheese, however I prefer it with mozzarella and they’re happy to substitute it. This place is expensive, but their sandwiches are really amazing! If you’re coming here, I suggest getting the fanciest sandwiches. They’re the ones worth the money. If you prefer a simple sandwich, I would recommend going else where for less expensive.

Me and my fiancé felt for walking around and grabbing a quick bite to eat so we ended up here. Their food is beyond delicious. Loved their sandwiches and salads. And to top it off the staff were wonderful wonderful people. We will be back

Good sandwich, girl on the phone(has dreads) had a attitude. First time ordering politely asked for the big kauna and was answered with a swift may I have your name and phone number for the order with no customer service skills. Thought I would give the benefit of the doubt, they’re busy. Upon arrival small crowd. Do have to say nice décor. Had a guy ring me up and she walked by giving a nod. Hope they didn’t spit in my food. Needless to say not going back.

What can I say. My sandwich was on some fabulous wheat bread with a homemade a Oli, bacon, greens, tomatoes, and a Fried egg. It was so big when it arrived at the table, then I asked the delivery person to please bring me a box immediately. I’m sure glad he did. The grilled sandwich was awesome. It may not of been grilled it may of been toasted but it was great. And it came with homemade potato chips which is never a bad thing. I was able to enjoy a Mexican orange Fanta along with my fabulous meal. I transferred the gooey fried egg onto the half of sandwich I ate while I was at The Carving Board. The other half heated up quite nicely at home. After refrigeration I nuked the half of heaven for maybe 30 seconds to take the chill off. Then I grilled it on my cast iron(both sides) until hot and toasty. Plenty of menu options. It took me a good five minutes to read the choices and decide. Everything sounded so good: a wide variety of sandwiches(hot & cold), soup and several awesome looking salads. One lady had tomato soup and an amazing grilled cheese. She said so, and it wasn’t her first time eating there. I hope to find myself back in this hood again around lunchtime!

I would have to say that the food at the craving board is pretty good. I enjoyed the food here. We came here after my wife saw a picture of the Spaghetti and Meatballwich on one of my Unilocal friend IG!(Dana Dane) As far for service goes. It’s quick simple and friendly. Just order at the counter and seat yourself. FOOD: Spaghetti and Meatballwich. Just like eating a regular spaghetti and meatball. I just had a few bites, but I thought it good. Shroom Burger. The burger was season and cook perfectly. I do recommend adding the fried egg and prosciutto took it up to a whole new level. The fried egg give it that creamy goodness and the prosciutto give it that slightly saltiness. Grilled cheese. Can’t go wrong with that for the kids. DESSERT: Fried Oreos! Good and not to sweet Would I come back? I would have to say yes. There’s a few sandwiches on the menu that I would like to try.

I’ve been here several times, and I will continue to come here when I’m in the mood for an expensive sandwich. However, the sandwiches are top-notch. They’re roughly $ 10 – 12 for a sandwich, but they’re unique sandwiches you won’t find elsewhere. My go-to sandwich is their Sweet November. It feels like Thanksgiving with each bite, due to the Turkey and the Cranberries. The goat cheese gives it the perfect amount of tang and zang. The funny part is… i don’t even like Thanksgiving meal. But for some strange reason, i do like this sandwich. Maybe because it doesn’t take you 10hrs to cook it. It’s a simple shop with some indoor and outdoor seating, right on Ventura Blvd.

I came to this restaurant a long time ago but didn’t review it because I didn’t have a Unilocal account So today I decided to go back and have dinner the reviews looked good so I went I ordered the Bentley: it was delicious exactly what I excepted from the ingredients The chips were not so great, they were hit but pretty heavily oiled I couldn’t finished them I also ordered dessert the butter cake: super sweet. I love sweet things but with one bite of this buttercake I was done Overall I would just get the sandwich in the future If I’m closes and there is nothing better around

The food was great, prices are high for not being a sit down restaurant. The Girls that took my order were sweet and friendly. WHY I TOOKOFFTWOSTARS: The owner was there while I dined. He did not greet or ask any customers how they were doing. while he was there. Many of the unattended tables still had dirty dishes/plates left behind which he literally could’ve taken back. However, I watched him shake hands with several ‘s of the hands of the chefs in the back. Note the chefs wore gloves, yet, right after they shook his hand they immediately started touching fresh produce.

I enjoyed the food here. It was pretty good. I ordered then chop house turkey burger and got it with fries. The burger was juicy and delicious. It is pretty small though but still good. They give you show string fries which I’m not a fan of but they were good. My girlfriend ordered the spaghetti and meatball sandwich which was a delight. Instead of bread for the sandwich they form the spaghetti noodles into a flat stack resembling bread and sandwich the meat in between. We were shocked by how good it was. She said she seen it on the food channel on dinners, drive ins and dives

I REALLY enjoyed the hot sandwich Big Kahuna [$ 12] which consisted of seared ahi tuna, cucumbers, soy marinated wakame seaweed, roma tomatoes, sweet red onion, and carving spread. The brioche bun was nice and warm and will begin falling apart if you don’t eat it right away :) The ingredients were fresh and I loved the overall flavor and was perfect in every bite. I chose potato chips as the side it comes with and it was freshly made! There are plenty of tables and chairs inside and outside(shared with others in the plaza). There is street parking and a lot in the back. Staff was pleasant and one of the owners came outside to see how things went. They have a variety of cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, grilled cheese, tossed salads, burgers, hot soups, sides, desserts drinks and espresso.

I’m a sandwich lover but I found this place sub par. Maybe my expectations were too high. Or it could be cuz I don’t care for red meat in my sandwich and that’s what they mostly have on the menu. But I found this place not worth the money. We had the Bahn mi and the carving board sandwich. The Bahn mi was super salty and doesn’t compare to other Bahn Mi’s. Again maybe I’m expecting too much getting a Vietnamese sandwich from this place. Lol Might return to try other things and report back :)

ONEWORD: LONGHORN. So freaking yummy!!! The short rib longhorn reminds me of a pulled pork sandwich, but way better. The sandwich has a super delicious sauce and contains perfectly caramelized onions. Prices are definitely high for just a sandwich, but it’s definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. They serve everything on a cute cutting board, so I give them bonus points for presentation alone. I also like the champagne vinegar dressing that comes on the salad, plus their teas and lemonade. They serve Harney & Sons tea, which is one of my favorite brands that I usually only enjoy at the spa. One of my favorite things to get here is their cotton candy — it’s ENORMOUS and fun to share with the kiddos, plus the adults ;) The inside is well-kept and clean, while they have a nice outside patio area for dining — although it’s not enclosed, so it can get a bit chilly, depending on what time of year you’re dining. Service is just subpar — you can tell they try their best to be friendly, but most of the employees come across quite snobby.

The Carving board is a small little place with a big menu and fun staff. I enjoyed my warm welcome during busy hours and after spending what was probably too long deciding on the menu I enjoyed my banter at the register. The presentation was fun and on point as my sandwich was served on a carving board. Additionally the grilled cheese and meat combination was even better than expected. While not the most eloquent dish, the flavors came out really well and I enjoyed every bite. The only issue is that there were not a lot of bits to be had, as the portions were a wee bit small for my liking. Maybe I am just a hungry dude who wants a lot of food, but really I could have ate two sandwiches.

LOVEDIT. The Big Kahuna: ahi tuna, cucumber, marinated wakame seaweed(what?!!), tomato, red onion on a brioche bun. With a side salad. HUGE. Amazing. I ate the whole thing and I RARELY eat the whole thing. My friend had The Turkey Dinner: roasted turkey, stuffing, gravy, dried cranberries, grilled onion on sliced and grilled sourdough. Yum. She also ate the whole thing. Side of cashew coleslaw. Delicious! The only difficulty is trying to choose what to order. The variety and creativity are endless. I will be back to try the others SOON.

Baaaaaaaaammmmm! The food here just hit the spot! I ordered a few things to try, even though the bill came out to $ 27 it was worth it. Here is what I got: The Bentley hot sandwich which is their most popular sandwich. It was perfectly cooked filet mignon(about 2 to 3 ounces) meat with caramelized onions, baby spinach and crumbled blue cheese. They used a mayonnaise with bacon on a baked fresh ciabatta roll. The price was $ 13. The sandwich was really good and all of the flavors fit nicely together. All sandwiches come with their homemade potato chips, but I opted to spend an extra $ 2 and substituted the chips for a small(3 ounce cup) of kale pasta salad. The salad contained, pasta, kale, sliced carrot and some sort of garlic dressing I believe although not 100% certain. Nevertheless, it was tasty and anything more than the small serving of this salad would of been too much for me. Clam chowder. This is what really caught my attention here. It was so delicious! It has been a while since I had a chowder that was this good. The broth was thick and there were plenty of clams in there. You can either get a small bowl or a large in a bread bowl. they serve the soup with two small pieces of delicious toasted bread as well. Price is between $ 5 to $ 8, which is not bad at all. I ordered a drink for $ 2.50. They have drink dispensers where you can select from standard lemonade, strawberry lemonade or three variations of an iced tea. Service was excellent here. The person taking the order greeted with a smile, the server that brought us our food was polite. However the best part of the service there was one guy. I didn’t get his name, but he had tattoos on his arm… he was so goofy, friendly and brought a real positive vibe to the place when he interacted with us. I highly recommend The Carving Board if you are into sandwiches. If not, you can also try their salads and burgers. That will be on my to do list for the next visit. After lunch, you can have some pastries for dessert or a huge cotton candy! Lastly, why not add a double espresso for $ 2.50 or a cappuccino for $ 3.50 to top your day. Ambiance is nice and modern… very simplistic. Not a large restaurant, but enough seating available indoors and outdoors to accommodate the Friday lunch hour crowd. A little more about The Carving Board from their website: The Carving Board is a place where great ingredients and unique ideas meet. We set out to give our customers the highest quality ingredients at a reasonable price. Our bread and cookies are baked fresh. We use high quality specialty meats; our turkey is roasted in house. Our natural style potato chips are made to order. In short we want to make sure every item from our juicy burgers to our gooey grilled cheese make you smile and come back for more. We love sandwiches and hopefully our passion for food shows in everything we do. The carving board is owned and operated by three brothers that feel food should have a sense of adventure.

Delicious but pricey gourmet sandwiches. Probably a little over hyped but a fun experience. Kind of like going to the grilled cheese truck for the first time. PARKING: SUCKS. Just pay for it and park up front at the meters and don’t whine about the $ 13 sandwich you’re about to pay for either. :) I got the shrimp po’boy(it has some fancy name but thats the gist of it). It was fantastic. the price, not so much. Service was great too. They even gave us free desserts since we were celebrating 2 birthdays. Really sweet of them. I definitely recommend giving this place a try just don’t complain when you pay an arm and a leg for a sandwich. Oh and if you feel like a salad they can turn any sandwich into one as well. :)
