Chablis Food + Wine

Had a delicious, relaxing, cozy dinner with friends visiting from out of town last evening. The food, wine, and service were fabulous from start to finish. We started with several great appetizers (short rib toast, tartar, French onion soup, mussels), enjoyed some scrumptious main entrees (short ribs X 2 and skirt steak X 2), and ended with the lava cake & apple strudel. We enjoyed all of this with some wonderful wine, making this a special evening all around.
Will definitely return!

New Years Eve at Chablis! Limited but very nice menu. And, the foi gras… amazing! And the duck. Really like this restaurant. Nice entertainment, and not so loud that you can’t hear people talk. Slow (which on New Year’s is GOOD) service… so you can relax, dine, not be or feel rushed. My only complaint is. the wine glasses! The proper red wine glasses really need to be served with red wine! And they ARE right there in the bar. Not those wide bowl glasses that don’t capture the aroma of the wine. Other than that… a GREAT evening. Love going to Chablis. Great food, great menu, good value, entertainment. What more can you want. Happy New Year

I hosted a baby shower here this Sunday and I am absolutely floored by how easy, perfect and beautiful it was.
Chablis has a charming interior with a fireplace, chandeliers and very adjustable table set ups. The owner, Saeed, goes above and beyond to help you make your event perfect. He was so easy going and thoughtful… I want to have EVERY party here!
The food was absolutely delicious and perfect, starting with tray passed appetizers and a menu that included a delicious salmon (SO tender & moist, it was awesome!) and chicken and pasta dishes that our guests were raving over.
Everyone at the shower kept coming up to me to ask how I had «found» Chablis! I can’t believe more people don’t know about this place for events. I almost hate to tell everyone on here because I want it all to my own, but Saeed is SO wonderful, I want him to have a great/​thriving business.
There is a larger dining room that fits 40 – 50 (maybe more?) and then a smaller dining room that fits around 30 people… there’s a really cute outside patio area that can also be used in warmer months. They have speakers and a bar if you want to have a birthday party with some music, too!
I really can’t recommend this location more if you are looking for a space for a baby shower or bridal shower! The price was great and Saeed is really willing to work with you on your menu to help you stay in budget.

From the tasteless french onion soup to the pâté crab cake, it should have some crab parts, to the sad excuse for a piece of salmon, I would never return to this restaurant, it’s just not worth paying good money for very very average food.

Found it on Unilocal after reading the reviews. Very romantic place. The food was good but not great. The service was excellent.

What a wonderful experience we had dining here. My husband & I had a super stressful day & decided to treat ourselves to dinner & some romance. From start to finish we had a truly amazing experience here. Food was delicious & the staff are outstanding, there was even live music playing. We will be back!

I cant find anything negative about this place

A good friend of mine has spoken very highly of this restaurant for some time, so maybe my expectations were elevated. I wanted to start with that to set some perspective, but we came here with another couple on an evening weekend with a TravelZoo deal, which made dinner about half price. That said, we enjoyed a glass of wine each, some shared appetizers, entrees, and shared desserts. Our reactions to the wine were mixed, some of us having relied on recommendations form the waiter. I enjoyed my Petit Syrah, and a couple of the other wines were pretty good. One red was a bit funky tasting, not awful, but definitely not great. The appetizers were good; we enjoyed a cheese plate (good, but really small portions and the bread was a bit burnt) and thrice cooked potatoes, which were fancy fries that were served with delicious dipping sauces, All of us enjoyed our entrees, from fish to lamb to steak and the sides were good as well. Desserts were good too. All in all the food is solidly good. It might have been a four star review for food alone, but the service was slow (there’s a difference between not being rushed and not really being attentive) and the food, without a «deal,» is really expensive. It’s not at all that we didn’t enjoy it; I just wouldn’t rush back, especially if I had to pay full price. That said, there is nothing with the food that is less than good. It’s just personal preference.

We saw a Travelzoo voucher for this restaurant and decided to try it since it’s right next to our house. Our server, Mike was great — gave us great suggestions on what to order. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially my husbands skirt steak. It didn’t even look or taste like a typical skirt steak, but it was cut up in nice thick pieces and perfectly cooked to my husband’s liking. The crème brûlée was also really good, and a perfect end to our dinner. We loved the ambiance and the live piano music. The musician played beautifully! It was nice listening to live music as we enjoyed our dinner. We would definitely go back!

Had an amazing experience thank you to DineLA this restaurant was a part of it. My BF and I live in the valley and it is usually hard to find good decent restaurant here. So we saw the menu and it totally caught our eye. From first sight we fell in love with simplicity of classic deco, Not over done, live music by a young pianist/​singer. Then simple not overdone or trying too hard service :) and of course the 3 course menu totally blew our minds. Definitely will come back and highly recommend. I am still putting 5 stars, BUT I would highly suggest to remove TV — please there are too many sport bars and «modern» restaurants /​cafes with TV. We are so involved in social media and other things, we should engage in conversation and atmosphere not TV !!! Thank you for good food :)

We’ve been to Chablis three times and they are consistently outstanding in service, food, beverages and ambiance. We flew in from The Bay Area last night and wanted a relaxing dinner, so we stopped at Chablis around 8:30. The restaurant was not crowded (hey, it’s the Valley!). Our server was excellent. The staff kept our water glasses full and bread on the table. We had some wine and a few appetizers, including the scallops, which were delicious. Typically they serve 2 scallops on their appetizer orders, but because there were three of us they put an extra scallop on the plate so we could each have one. That was a little touch we certainly did not expect and just validates how customer friendly and attentive they are at Chablis. Excellent experience … again! Thanks Chablis, we will be back on our return visits to the valley.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here last Friday and it was perfect! First off I just want to say thank you to Saeed for making our wedding day perfect. He guided us through this whole planning and recommended certain food selections that he knew people would love, including the wedding cake he suggested his chef should make. I love how positive his energy is and he’s so friendly. All my guest loved the food, ambiance & service. His staff did a phenomenal job! My family and I couldn’t stop bragging about the food it was so good! And our wedding cake was delicious! Thank you Saeed for the memorable event held at Chablis!

My son and bride had their wedding reception at Chablis Saturday at 4 for appetizers and dinner at 5pm. The open courtyard was for appetizers and several tables were set up for dinner, it rained! They went into action and got everyone seated inside, appetizers resumed when the rain stopped. It was a PERFECT eve.
So impressed with everyone. Organized, calm and efficient. A lovely restaurant!

I enjoyed a very very very good dinner w sea bass and the best Brussel sprouts I have ever eaten. Just a perfect dinner.

My first and worst experience!
I wish I could have posted the smell of food here. I was with a group of friends and I had the chance to taste many items on the menu; basically the food was below average, the service was poor, but I would admit the ambiance was quiet and nice.
I would highly recommend avoiding this place; foodwise nothing really pleasant.

Joined some friends here for happy hour to celebrate a birthday. Early on a Friday evening, we had the place to ourselves and had good service. The prices and selections for both food and wine were fine; nothing that I was over the moon about and nothing that was offensive.
It’s not a place that I’d rush back to, certainly, but it’s a place I wouldn’t object to if someone wanted to meet for happy hour.
