You’ll gain weight just visiting! Taste of Greece is a very nice-looking bakery/dessert shop in the heart of the tourist district. There are so many choices, both Greek and somewhat international. I opted for the caramel cheesecake. It was good, but I have had better. It just didn’t have that nice New York cheesecake consistency. It also really didn’t taste like caramel. If I came back here, I would definitely give something else I try. I doubt that will happen though as my husband was less than impressed by his tiramisu cup.

The desert room is just a stroll from the Mykonos restaurant. It is easy walk and they have a few table on the outside and mostly inside. The display was wonderful and they have all kind of cake, baklava, chocolate item, cheese cake. Many to choose from. You almost want to have each of every one. Then you become a pig out. Fortunately we already have dinner, and we just want to have a taste. We order a chocolate blanket with chocolate mousse. The blanket is make from dark chocolate. Chocolate very likable thing especially my wife. The pricing is just right but a bit high. The out side sitting can be people watching or people watching what you have. The minutes we sat there has attract some tourist going to the store to buy the desert. We kind of outdoor advertising.

Cool bakery at Tarpon spring. we got a chocolate dessert and sat outside the patio area. The fall weather at night was pleasant. The water view with the boats was attractive. Watching the tourists, local folks and their dogs cruising by, delicious chocolate cake in my mouth, the total atmosphere was lay back and relaxing. The bakery offers good selection of bake good, desserts and coffee drinks. It’s a good place to sit back, relax, enjoy the coffee, the sweet and the view!

We came here because we saw the huge dessert case while walking by. They make just about every kind of Greek dessert you’ve ever seen. They also make traditional Greek coffee to kick your rear into gear.

awesome iced coffee. horrible service. just stopped in with my cousin to get some cold drinks and the line started at the door for people ordering bakery items. since we were just getting drinks we went to the register rather than stand in the bakery line. The cashier kept ignoring us and ringing up the bakery orders. Finally after getting her to ring us up for our drinks, my cousin signed the receipt and gave it back to her and when we walked away to get straws she accused us in front of the other customers of not paying for the iced coffee! Then realized afterward that she did ring us up for it shouts out«it’s ok! it’s ok!» «Taste of Greece» No, it’s not ok on so many levels…

Order a frappé. A REAL one, not a Starbucks Frappé. You’ve never had one? Well, then. Trust me. It’s the quintessential Greek chilled coffee drink. Taste of Greece can froth up a delightful cup for you. If you aren’t used to strong coffee, ask for it sweet with a little extra milk. We came in for frappé and to try out a couple of of favorite cookies which would be found in any self respecting YiaYia’s kitchen. My usual favorite is the melomakarona. Those sold here were fair, but a bit crumblier than I typically care for. The kourambiethes were quite large and coated with plenty of sugar, but did not entice me. Taste of Greece appears to part of Hella’s Bakery and Restaurant which will crop up a couple more times as you wander along the Sponge Docks.

This is a great place to come for dessert. They have the standard Greek options like baklava and tons more choices. They also made me a killer iced coffee.
