The service was spot on. The food was as authentic as it gets from the sauces to the made fresh daily corn tortillas. Great place for my favorite foods!

Excellent! Traditional Mexican taqueria with wonderful salsas. Small family business, the owner was very warm and friendly.

Excellent food… fresh, tasty, flavorful, authentic. great choices of homemade salsas. You might do carry out though, they had only plastic forks, no knives and no water for the table(bottles for purchase). No frills, but great Mexican food which is hard to find in the area.

The steak sopes here was pretty good but definitely not the best. A plus for me was the way they marinated the steak. I feel like the dough was a tad bit on the greasy side. The main thing I didn’t like is that it only cam one in an order. I tried the steak tostada from here and again the steak was marinated really well. This order only cam with two tostadas for around 5 – 6 dollars. Their chicken tamale was okay. I wasn’t too much of a fan because of the way the chicken tastes. I felt as if it left a bad after taste. Overall I think I would be back only because I love the way they marinate their steak and they are pretty generous with the amount of steak they put in each order. The only thing I don’t like about this place is that they are a bit more pricey compared to other Mexican places when it comes to the portions of each order. But again, I strictly rate places on how their food tastes and I can pretty much say that I recommend this place for others to try out.

I just moved to the area from the West Coast and was searching to get my Mexican food fix on… Boy o boy did I find it! I haven’t had Mexican food this good or authentic since I had food actually in Mexico! I tried many different items on the menu and everything is top shelf, authentic and absolutely delicious! I plan on making this place one of my stops weekly! My only negative experience is the area surrounding the restaurant. It’s located in a pretty rough looking area and probably wouldn’t go there when the sun is down.

I can’t say anything bad about this restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious and they’re really good at taking care of requests. The condiments are amazing(I buy some to take home and use them on everything). Not to mention the owners are not just friendly but genuinely good people.

These truly are the best, authentic tacos in town, made with love by the ladies who own the business. Everything is made from scratch, even the corn tortillas, with the freshest ingredients. Their pork(carnitas) tacos are to die for! So flavorful and tasty! I love the tamales, which actually taste good, fresh, and full of pork. I have never had a bad dish here. The enchiladas are excellent and this is the ONLY place where the ground meat tastes delicious(and is actual meat). I go here every chance I get, though it is a haul from Hudson.

I’m sorry, but I cannot go with the masses on this one. This place is still not very good. I went in the other day to give this place another shot and while food was A-ok, I was not impressed. Plus, the ladies that make fresh corn tortillas are not there anymore. They were using tortillas out of packages. Not sure if there was a split with partners because there is a new place on US19 which had the same name, but now name is changed. It’s All pretty confusing. At least the place didn’t reek like the last time, but kitchen, and kitchen floors were a complete wreck and dirty. My friend wanted to walk out and was pissed with me for ordering. no lie! I’m sorry, no disrespect, but clearly these reviewers have never been to Drew St. or some really great places in Tampa like Loli’s.

This place may look a little shady on the outside but trust me… You WANT to eat here! This is a family owned eatery and I have seen 4 generations working in the kitchen! This is as authentic as you can get! If you want a home cooked Mexican meal come here, and it’s pretty cheap.

This place is super easy to drive right past, twice lol. It’s literally a little hole in the wall, and very small on the inside. Give this place a chance, don’t walk in and go… eww and walk out. The décor leaves a little to be desired, but their food is great, and at a great price. Their chicken burrito was amazing. It was a good size, and had lots of meat and didn’t have excessive amounts of rice like chipotle does. It was very tasty and fresh, made to order. I highly recommend the green mild sauce they have up front. It was like a creamy garlic cilantro sauce with a kick.

This is a little hole in he wall place next to a no name convenience store. That being said, the food is fantastic! Steak burrito was so good! The flavors tasted so authentic, better than any Taco bus type places. They have $ 1 tacos made in 16 styles. I usually don’t like corn tortillas but these were awesome, tried the chicken, pork and beef and they were oh so tasty. It only loses points because of the location, I passed by it several times before I found it and they place is really small, the have four small tables with 2 – 3 chairs each. The place is busy during lunch time and there is a reason for that.

Very authentic. Just like being in Mexico. Don’t let the looks of the outside stop you from trying this place. Also check out the new larger location Tacos Cielito Lindo 39028US19 near Dominos

We tried this place the other day, I loved it. Both gentlemen working spoke excellent English and they were both very friendly. The food was delicious! My husband got steak tacos and a burrito, I got a veggie burrito. He thought the food was a little too spicy, but he likes bland. I tried their«be careful» sauce and their green sauce, both were wonderful… Especially mixed together. They grill the burrito a little after it’s wrapped, which I really enjoyed. I think the portion was just right and the prices were very good.

Love it! Ok, so don’t open the door, glance in and walk out… give it a chance. On triple D, this would definitely be in the dive category… but the food rocks. The place is run by a close family that knows all the tricks. The choice of meat go on and on and it all tastes fresh and delicious. In a dozen visits we haven’t had one we don’t like… but if you are unsure, fall back on the trustworthy chicken tacos. They recently opened a larger place on 19 in Palm Harbor and offer the same yummy eats there.

Fantastic service. They offer samples for their new customers, make amazing suggestions and the food is to die for. Holy crap. The meat is rich, the flavors are full, and everything tastes like a little piece of heaven, Cielito, is right! Definitely try the horchata and the chilango torta! ¡Pura vida!

OK, this place is serious border food. If you are looking for Tex Mex, go to Chili’s or some stupid place like that. CLT serves real homemade Mexican food. Mom, Dad, cousins etc are back there making everything by hand so do yourself a favor and liberate $ 3 for 3 tacos and live in the moment for the 3 minutes it takes you to shovel those babies into your happy face. Keep in mind, these folks don’t speak English well so, be respectful, state your order clearly and don’t be all pouty and shitty if they get your order wrong – just eat it and be grateful for all the love they put into making it for you. And then, come back tomorrow w/your Google translator booted up on your phone and order like a Boss…

OMG What a hidden gem! This place is hard to spot, but drive along Tarpon Ave, look for the Munch & Pop side as well as 650 Dental Health, and you’ll find this little spot. Tired of the many over-sized, over-cheesed Americanized Mexican restaurants, I am really glad to find this authentic little place. We went there for the $ 1 tacos and they are exactly like the ones I’ve eaten in Mexico! There is an abuela making tortillas on a wooden press in the kitchen. For the $ 1 taco, you get a choice of starch(yellow rice or mashed potato) and meat(steak, chicken, pork). The tacos are topped with tomatoes, green onion, cheese, etc. The tortilla may be small but it’s loaded. Now, don’t forget to top it with some good salsa. They have three types. The lady will tell you the creamy green one is spicy. Don’t let her fool you, what she means is that, the green one is the spiciest. The other two has some heat in it too. Very addictive heat that makes you reach for your napkin as you pour on more… Admittedly the«steak» is not a prime cut and the refried bean a tag salty, but overall, the authentic flavor and value makes it impossible to give anything less than a full 5 stars. Will definitely be back! Their menu lists that they have 14 different tacos. Including beef tongue, tripes, etc. but when I asked the lady she said they are not available. I asked if it will be available on Sat when there is no $ 1 taco but she said no. Maybe I need to speak Spanish for her to share these secret varieties.:( And oh, they close early, around 6pm.
