We only had drinks but it was a very nice place and they were very generous with the drinks.

Stopped in to catch some football on a Sunday afternoon in Taos. Our bartender provided great service. While we didn’t eat, the food looked good(and. giant portions). A bit chilly in December in the bar area. Decent craft beer list and great location in the plaza.

We dined at this restaurant while on a ski trip in New Mexico(Taos/Angel Fire). The atmosphere was very nice and the food was very good and plentiful. We really liked their Fried Green Bean Calamari appetizers. My family and I ordered different things including the Reuben, Salmon, Turkey Wrap, Green Chile Chicken Alfredo. All of the dishes were really good and the portions were very large. The presentation of the dishes was also very good. If I would have known, I would have split something with someone. There service staff was really good. I would definitely go back again and would recommend this restaurant to others. There are many options in Taos, this is a good one!

We loved our food. The green chili stew was awesome. We give it 3 stars because our waitress only checked on us after our appetizer was dropped off. My husband finished his beer before we got our meals and my drink was gone soon after. I’ve been a waitress and the most important thing is to always have full drinks on the table. That builds the bill which builds the tip! My husband is a drinker and after our long day of driving, he probably would have had a few more! We had our empty plates stacked as three waitresses huddled chatting by the computer and when she came back, she said, «you ready?» Not offering another drink nor an apology for her lack of service. Once they train the staff, this place would be a home run!

We stopped in for a drink and apps. The service was really really really slow. But it’s a cute place and a nice view of the plaza.

If there was an option for zero stars Gorge would qualify. The food is horrible and the staff consists of children with no sense of service. I ordered the Carne Adovada which was nothing more than pulled pork with bbq sauce and a ton of salt. My stomache still aches after only eating a few bites. The price is not indicative of the quality as I have had true Carne Adovada for half the price from street vendors that put the garbage at gorge to shame. The only reason we went was because Orlandos was closed. Truly offensive cuisine that capitalizes on unsuspecting tourists.

Zachary gets 5 stars! He was excellent help with menu and very nice Started with calamari, which was over done, so it was rubbery, but the in house made tomatillo sauce made up for it They out if what my wife ordered, so they comped us a dessert Carne adovada was a nice change from out Tex-mex but still comforting Tor gorgeous burger was exactly what it should have been… a burger. Meat seemed fresh Tons of fries!!! Chocolate cake hit the spot, no too rich Espresso!!! Thanks Zach

Awesome location, decent food, top notch service. I had to deduct a star because the salsa tasted like marinara sauce.

The service was great and atmosphere was nice. It would have gotten 5 stars had I been more satisfied with my meal. My boyfriends nachos was really good. I got the fish tacos for dinner. The flavors a were good BUT I wish there was a decent piece of cod for the tacos. Other then that, everything was good, just wish I had more fish!

Just for a drink to wait out a down pour. The prickly pear margarita was fantastic as was the service. The food I saw on other tables looked great. They have a nice patio that overlooks the square.

Stopped in today for a drink(shopping makes a girl thirsty!!!). I sat at the bar and was quickly waited on by the bartender. I asked for a draft beer recommendation and was happy with what he brought. I only had the one drink so can’t comment on the food or table service, but enjoyed my quick stop and the bartender was nice and helpful.

Skip it. It’s very pricey and the food isn’t fresh tasting at all. Burger is very dry. Salads taste bland. Beer isn’t good either. Eat elsewhere it’s overpriced cafeteria food. Seriously. Fair warning.

I didn’t have high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. I had the red pork adabavo, which was amazing. Perfect amount of spice and perfectly tender. It was a LOT of food. The strawberry margarita was also delightful. The husband had fish and chips, which he also enjoyed.(Everything but the ketchup. It had a weird plastic taste that I don’t quite understand, but I did independently verify it after he described it that way.) The place also played a nice blend of classic rock(Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Guess Who, etc) as BACKGROUND music. It was the perfect volume. There’s nothing worse than going to a restaurant and not being able to enjoy a conversation because the music is so loud. This place gets that.

5 stars for the steak tacos — they are the best I’ve had in memory. I also had the«greyhound» grapefruit juice and vodka drink which was delicious. The service is professional and the atmosphere with an upstairs venue with darker lighting and outdoor seating available is also something greatly appreciated. For my girlfriend — this is a staple restaurant especially since it’s one of the few restaurants in town open late. She likes to get the veggie burger with the patty swapped out for a bison patty creating a kind of guacamole bison cheeseburger. I hope these tips help you discover the beauty of this hidden gem in Taos!

A favorite of our to grab a pint and a bite when we are in Taos! Being located on the Plaza makes it a handy place to take a break from shopping or sightseeing. The balcony seating overlooking the Plaza is nice and the service has always been fantastic!!!

Beautiful ambiance– we sat on the balcony overlooking Taos Square, it was very pretty. The service was excellent, our waiter(Zach) was friendly, informative, and quick. Our food came out in a matter of minutes, about 15. I ordered the«Gorgeous» burger with beer battered French fries, my husband ordered the spicy Hawaiian burger, and my in-laws ordered the chicken enchiladas and the tequila lime chicken tacos. Pros: friendly, fast service. The beer battered French fries were DELICIOUS. Perfectly crispy and soft on the inside with a subtle yet distinct beer flavor. My burger started out dry but as I got to the center it was juicy(possibly overlooked on one side?). My husband’s spicy Hawaiian burger was very juicy and had quite a kick(possibly too much, I would have removed the seeds from the jalapeño slices, but I don’t like super spicy food) and had very good flavor. The in laws said their meals were good, and they did not add cheese(as requested) to mother in laws tacos(she’s allergic to dairy). Cons: My husband and I both requested medium well on our burgers, they were both well done. My bacon was a touch hard(as opposed to crispy). My burger was supposed to have lemon aioli on it, but I didn’t taste anything lemon flavored on it. I didn’t like their ketchup(it reminded me a bit of cocktail sauce) but that is just a personal preference. Overall, excellent ambiance, service, and good food. I would definitely go back.

The ambience is kind of chain restaurant style but the food is much better than that. Sitting on the patio overlooking the Plaza is a great way to sirens an afternoon, especially with a Margarita or bloody Mary. Don’t miss the southwestern style putin. The steak salad is also great.

The service and quality of food you receive is what typically draws people to return to a restaurant over and over again. Unfortunately this place has bad service and poor food quality. I remember dining here as a kid when it used to be oglevies bar and grill. Things in those days were a bit high priced but we’re well worth it. But, my how time has changed this place! We stopped in to have drinks and an appetizer with an old friend and were quite disappointed. The waitress was a bit slow for the amount of people that were there and took a while to take our orders and check up on us. The appetizer was just a plain out joke that never should of seen the dining room floor. We ordered nachos and they came out burnt. The chicken that was in them also was mushy which is kind of weird and gross. I don’t know how the cook decided to send these out and how the waitress didn’t send them back. They do have a good selection of craft beer in bottles and on tap. Overall the prices weren’t that bad but there are better places to spend your money in Taos for better quality food and service. I do not recommend this place.

Great atmosphere in the heart of Taos. We ordered the calamari as our appetizer, it was soaked in a green chile sauce which made it lose it’s crisp, nonetheless was not bad. For my meal I had the daily special, shrimp pasta. A+ presentation, with two wonderful crustinis. Shrimp was barely under cooked, but bearable. Service was good, everything was on time and we were tended to very well. Would recommend.
