Dined in for lunch on 1/19, on a whim. Sat by the kiva fireplace and was greeted immediately by our server. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of menu selections. There was pastas and sandwiches, entrees and wraps, burgers, and more. I settled on the pesto chicken wrap and my girlfriend on the tuna melt. Both dishes were served quickly, with a side of house potato salad and a cookie. The restaurant was not too busy, and our server was pleasant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere calm. There was plenty of food on the plate and the meal was well worth the less than average cost for this area. On the way out I was pleased to meet Earlene, the restaurant’s namesake, who gave me the lowdown on her cooking and history. On that note, we stopped at the counter to browse the fresh baked goods and took off with a delicious cinnamon roll. The only thing that kept this review from for stars was that our server forgot to bring us the bill. Excellent place, great value!!!

Confession… I am a picky eater and if I go out for a meal I expect it to at least be as good as something I would prepare. Today I had breakfast and ordered the Eggs Benedict… excellent! The sauce was a perfect consistency and instead of the usual English muffin, it was served on Earlene’s fresh made focaccia. it was a culinary surprise and absolutely perfect.

I have now eaten here twice. First time the pancakes were so salty I couldn’t eat them. Earlene apologized, and discounted the meal. I waited four months to return. Second meal was fantastic, except for the lack of service. Thus, the two stars. I might try again in another four months…

Love eating at Earlene’s every time we come to Taos! Nothing beats the food. Great breakfast and lunch. The beer was cold in a cold glass! Lunch was amazing. The Greek pasta is to die for. Also enjoyed the BLT, tuna melt, and a delicious burger. It was a great place to eat on the Girl’s Day Out.

We came here for breakfast based on pretty decent Unilocal reviews. Upon ordering and waiting about 15 minutes, our waitress comes back(around when we expected breakfast to arrive) to tell us they had run out of red chile for my husband’s chorizo breakfast burrito. We kind of looked at each other in shock as I have never seen this happen anywhere in NM before. Either way, he ordered huevos rancheros with green chile and I had already ordered the Baconator omelette. Our food came pretty quickly and I will say the bacon cheddar omelette was delicious with great potatoes on the side. The toast was grilled foccaccia bread which was a nice twist. Hubby said his Huevos were good, beans and the same potatoes also good. Not knockout of the park good but good. All in all, not a bad breakfast joint, just lacking a bit on some details. And who runs out of red chile?

Excellent breakfast! Good service that is friendly and prompt. Our usual breakfast stop was closed so we decided to try here and are glad we did! I had a ham and cheese omelet and my hubby had the protein breakfast. The potatoes were excellent! The bread was homemade. I will be back!

Earlene may be one of the best ccoks in Taos. The menu has a good selection of panninis, pastas and specials, like pot roast, for when you’re tired of the ubiquitous Taos enchiladas and tacos. Also, the building is beautiful, clean, sunny and comfortable.

Had the Huevos rancheros and my wife had the easy over eggs with bacon. We also had some of Erlenes bread which was delicious. We will be back whenever we are on Taos.

We asked Earlene to bake a carrot cake for my cousin’s birthday yesterday. It was«to die for.» I am enjoying the next to last piece tonight. We are going to repeat this again soon.

Our recent breakfast at Earlene’s was outstanding. I had the chorizo and bacon and avocado omelet. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the combination of flavors hit all of the right notes. The seed toast was outstanding and complimented the omelet. It was some of the best toast I’ve had in a restaurant. My wife had the oatmeal. It was a generous portion and cooked just as she likes. Earlene’s method of cooking oats is not typical as they are not cooked to a sticky mush. We’ll definitely return to Earlene’s during our next visit to the Enchanted Circle.

Never got to order food. Waitress was surly looking, saw her when we came and when we left. We left because she never made it to our table. Not at all busy. NEEDTOGET A HAPPY/EFFICIENT WAITRESS.

Another beatiful Sunday morning in Taos and a great breakfast to start the day. An ample breakfast with the Baconator omelet. Fluffy and FULL of applewood-smoked bacon. And the only place to get seeded focattia toast! Service with a smile from all staff who watch over you and make you comfortable throughout the meal. COMEHUNGRY!

Dirty, waitresses seem angry and clueless how to wait tables. Food was bland and took for ever. Don’t wast your time or money!

We came for a low carb breakfast. We ordered low carb then she offered us the last piece of freshly made carrot cake with homemade cream cheese icing. It was the last piece. It had almost sold out yesterday. We caved! We ate it before breakfast. Delicious! I had the spinach quiche with tomatoes on the side. Very tasty. My fiancé had the Greek omelet and truly enjoyed it.

My first time to go to Earlene’s in Taos at her new location . I had roast beef cheddar melt on focaccia bread with coleslaw. It came with her amazing peanut butter cookie! The restaurant very Taos and very clean. Staff great! Can’t wait to return again. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is a welcome addition to Taos. Open for breakfast and lunch. The food is great and the prices reasonable. We have tried the omelet sand the pancakes for breakfast and both were excellent. The pancakes are light and fluffy with good flavor. The omelet are a good size with a good amount of filling. Lunch sandwiches are great. My husband says the hot dog is the best he has ever tasted. Also try the baked goods, great pie, lovely cinnamon rolls and a cookie of the day with your lunch order. Great food in a relaxed café atmosphere.

Over an hour wait for sub standard food. First and last time here! 30 minutes to take our order and 45 minutes for our food. Chicken egg. laying must’ve been slow this morning.

I rarely stiff a server, but I did today. It was not the kitchen’s fault. The food was very good and timely. The server was clueless and disorganized. They need to train the server, and I suspect they know who I mean. It took me an hour to get a drink, order food, eat a cup of soup and a salad, get my check, pay it, and get my change. Every step was exceedingly slow. Five people walked out during my meal because the server ignored them for 15 minutes. There were only a dozen people in the place. I can’t imagine this server surviving a Friday evening rush.

Five minute drive from the historic Plaza and worth it. New, bright, pretty restaurant with great food and prices. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Staff was very helpful. Easy parking. Watch out for the cinnamon rolls. Ordered one to eat all day. Finished it before we left.

Everything Earlene makes is delicious! I had the BLT and it was perfection. The service and atmosphere are welcoming and inviting. The menu is full of mouth watering choices. I highly recommend Earlene’s for any meal!
