We really enjoyed our stay at Taos. Joe & Lisa were great hosts, with many stories, local recommendations, and great food! The Inn was a bit more fancy-looking than I was expecting from a B&B, very clean, and quite.

Joe and Lisa were very welcoming and great people. When we got there they upgraded our room to the spa suite at no extra charge! The whole place was extremely clean, the breakfast was amazing, great attention to detail, and overall great hospitality. Lisa would also make great afternoon desserts for us to eat after a long day of skiing. We are definitely planning on going back to Taos for some more skiing and we will book our stay at Casa Europa. Thanks Joe and Lisa!!!

This is the most charming bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. The hosts, Lisa and Joe are warm and special people. The breakfasts are great and you look forward to them everyday. We were so comfortable and relaxed at Casa Europa that we extended our stay and are now making plans to visit every year. The location is great, neatly tucked away from the touristy streets, but very close to lots of good restaurants and the main plaza. We met many wonderful people at breakfast but it never felt like a full house. It was peaceful, quiet and private. Mrs. Dash’s(the watch-cat) welcome everytime you return from somewhere really makes the Casa feel like your home away from home. We stayed in the English room which is perfect for a couple. The room has a beautiful large window, seating for two and plenty of space. The garden area is also a great place to relax in the evening with some tea or coffee and a plate of Lisa’s dessert creation that she makes every afternoon.

Although we first saw the Casa Europa at night after a very long and tedious drive, our impression was very positive, especially since Joe and Lisa made every effort to assist us in finding the Inn and made sure our room(The English Room) was welcoming. However, when it came time to take showers, we were shocked at the ridiculously tiny shower stall. We estimated it to be 23 by 23 inches — and that’s no exaggeration. My husband literally could not wash his feet and bumped into both the shower head and faucet, turning his shower into a hot and cold nightmare. I fared a little better, but at five feet seven inches and 150 pounds, I felt claustrophobic and was unable to enjoy a thorough and proper shower. The room itself was very nicely decorated with nice touches such as a nightlight and a free standing fan to keep us cool in the 90 plus degree weather. However, the shower experience made us approach Joe the next morning and cut short our stay from three nights to one night. We feel that Joe and Lisa took advantage of us; how does anyone justify this particular negative aspect of an otherwise respectable bed and breakfast? In addition, at breakfast we wanted to sit outside but Joe told us they«aren’t set up to eat outside», even though there are many beckoning tables and chairs throughout the property. He even moved us from where we were about to sit in the dining room at one table, to another table with other guests, saying that we all had to sit together. This was an uncomfortable experience, as we know that a successful innkeeper listens to guests and tries to understand their preferences. When we told Joe we wished to leave because of the shower, the words were hardly out of our mouths before he readily agreed to accommodate us leaving without charging us, giving us the impression that our room was a «throw away» room and that he had been through the same conversation many times with other guests. We didn’t really have time to explore all the Inn has to offer, although there is some very lovely art in the living room area and the gardens looked welcoming. Overall we would give this Inn a two and a half star rating. Had the innkeepers been upfront about the shower(but who would agree to book the room if apprised of the problem?), and had we been supported in our desire to enjoy our breakfast where we chose, a three would have been a generous rating. Regarding the four and five star ratings for this inn you see on other sites, all we can conclude is that either those were not complete ratings, or those guests who contributed to those ratings were not given this particular room.

This adorable B&B is set back in the country roads of Taos. My Fiancé and I came here to celebrate our engagement and had a wonderful stay. The in keepers Joe and Lisa went out of their way to show great hospitality and really made us feel at home. The attention to detail at the home is amazing! Great breakfast, well appointed rooms and nice garden to sit out in and read. If you want a relaxing getaway from reality I recommend the casa Europa!

Great little bed and breakfast. Joe and Lisa were great hosts. We came for a night and really enjoyed the place. The rooms were well furnished — we stayed in the Willow Room which has a King size bed and the Kiva oven for warmth. There’s also a hot tub outside which we didn’t get the chance to try out.
