Wow, some pretty harsh reviews of this place. I will admit, it’s not perfect, but it is a major improvement over all the other dining options at Camelback Mountain, but they are still playing catchup to the dining options at Mountain Creek. The restaurant is well decorated and has a great vibe for a slope side hangout. However, you have to question whether they fully thought through things– for example, the bar area has a wood-looking vinyl floor that is an accident waiting to happen when ski boots hit them– in fact, my first time I came here, I took one step on the floor and fell on my back and bruised up my elbow pretty bad. They’ve since put some mats down, but they really need to come up with a better permanent(eg classier) solution. You’d have thought they would have learned a thing or two in the 52 years that Camelback has been open. The food is not cheap. Most entrees are $ 20+, though they do have some sandwiches that are in the $ 15 range. Of my 3 times there, the first time I had the cracked pepper turkey on Texas toast– which did not use pepper turkey and the bread was not toasted– the second time I had a chicken Caesar salad which had dressing that was a little too tangy for my liking, and the 3rd time, the Scottish salmon which was good, but a very small portion for the price($ 22) charged. Overall, a step in the right direction for Camelback, but there is plenty of room for them to improve.

Came here on slow night with 7 kids, 2 adults. Service: fine, food: way overpriced and not as advertised. My small garden salad was just as big as the full portion of salad, but half the price. You are literally paying twice the price for a larger plate, not portion. My daughter’s «steak and portobello Mac and cheese»(with homemade breadcrumbs) had crushed Ritz crackers and deli roast beef on top. Really!!! Utterly unimpressive. Pros: the view, nice place to grab a drink at the end of the Stevenson ski-lift

We came in with a party of 6. They have a text system that lets you know when your table is ready. We were texted and they said we were all set. We tell one hostess our name and she says it’s being cleaned off it’ll be a minute. Almost 10 minutes goes by and she goes missing so we tell another hostess and are seated right away. Our waitress was terribly rude. We asked for a beer menu and she gave it to us and stood there and waited for us to choose; all while seeming overly annoyed that we were taking too long. The food was terrible. I order a Caesar salad with steak which was an extra $ 6 which would have been no big deal, but she stated the steak was medium rare. I said fine. So wrong. This steak was extra well done, I couldn’t even eat it; on top of the fact there were 3 ½ tiny pieces; no where near the price that I paid(almost $ 17)… For a salad! The rest of my party ordered burgers which were not cooked like asked, all were pretty much just well done. And the buns were burnt ! Gross. Every time our waitress came over and asked if we needed anything she barely gave us time to answer… We had to drink beer out of our book bags because we were barely given a chance to order a new one. She wasn’t nice until we split our OWN check because she didn’t give us a chance to even ask if that was possible. Terrible service and overpriced food. I’ll stick to chicken fingers from the lodge!

The atmosphere is terrific! If only the waitstaff was as well. Terribly Rude attitude from the waitresses — almost felt as though we were inconveniencing them. Oh and let’s not forget — we were a large party and made to sit at outdoor tables — brought inside. Which were soaking wet from the rain outside. Worse they lied and said tables were not wet… And came from storage room WTH? We aren’t stupid! Not worth it!

Dinner for 4 people with one app and two sodas(no alcoholic drinks) cost over $ 100. One of the worst meals I have ever had. The halibut I was served seemed more like rubber than fish. Very cheap, low quality food marked up extravagantly. Unless you’re staying at the resort you probably wouldn’t eat here, but you’re much better off going out. Go anywhere but here.
