Wawa

Being from Miami every trip to middle Florida is not complete without the requisite trip to Wawa. My latest journey to Tampa was no exception. For the uninitiated, Wawa is a gas station with cheap gas and good food options. Inside, there are multiple touch screen computers (ohh fancyy) where you scroll through all the options of what you’d like to eat. Breakfast hoagies, quesadillas, bowls, the options are plentiful. In the mood for lunch, they have options for that as well. Once your order, your food is made right in front of you. There are tables outside for you to eat or you can take it go.
This time around I purchased an Italian breakfast hoagie with jalapeños and a side of Mac and cheese. This is the Publix, KFC, style Mac and was exactly what I was looking for. Decent coffee, I had the Costa Rican, but I saw no option for an «Over Caffeinated blend» which is always nice to see at other establishments. Being from Miami I barely bat an eye at drinking ridiculous amounts of coffee and the extra caffeine has always helped.
They also have donuts and muffins which are quite up my alley and very tasty. Always moist, don’t pass these up!
If you haven’t been and you see one, I would definitely recommend a stop in. If you live by them and grew tired, well shame on you!!!

A good addition to this area… also keeps prices at nearby stations lower, including Thorntons.
However when I filled up today, I noticed there was no security tape over the lock or edges of the POS card reader unit so this may be more vulnerable to skimmer devices.
Have not been inside yet but from the other stores, I know i can find a wide array of coffees, drinks, snacks and made to order sandwiches at good prices.

Love this place. The drinks are made the way you order. The food is made when and how you request. Glad they finally opened one up close to me. Any of these stores I have gone in have always been clean and orderly. That’s big for me. If I go to a convenient store and it’s unkept I won’t even buy fuel from them. Plus this store has free air!!! I know big deal, but it is. Why do we have to pay for something that is free. Great store all around.

Wawa is just what the neighborhood needed. Located on a busy stretch of Hillsborough Ave., the gas pumps are packed when I drive by before 7 am, and again when I drive home at night. This store consistently has the cheapest gas prices in my area.
This is one of the largest Wawa stores I have been in, and fortunately they offer plenty of parking in a side lot. Inside is clean and bright. I love the feature of electronic screens to order your coffee drink or sub sandwich. So convenient and thus far they have always gotten my order right. I also like that they have a variety of kcup flavors available for purchase.
This Wawa has a large selection of pre-​packaged ready to eat items, and it is awesome that there are a lot of healthy items like fruit and salads. The one salad I tried did have some wilty brown-​edged lettuce in it, but as I was purchasing it at 8 pm, I felt that was to be expected.
Wawa gets extra bonus points for carrying my favorite Old Bay potato chips!
