One Star for the pharmacy, Three Stars for the actual store, averages out to two. Since this is the closest drug store to my house, I used to get all my prescriptions filled here. But, after many hassles and issues over the years, I started utilizing the Publix pharmacy near work and they are fine. However, after being diagnosed with poison ivy, I was anxious to get my 3 scripts filled, and get home, so I brought them here — even after seeing all the terrible pharmacy reviews — thinking — really, how bad can it be? Don’t ever ask yourself that — it can be bad. I step up to the counter to a very friendly worker, and explain that I am going to wait since 2 of the scripts were for anti-itch help. No problem, she says. I wait, and wait, and wait some more«Oh, there’s some problem with insurance, and one of the scripts was written incorrectly, so we have to call the doctor — do you still want to wait?» Nope, I’ll just go itch in the comfort of my own home, thanks. I call the automated number at the pharmacy a couple hours later, and the message says my scripts have all been filled, but there is an insurance issue still. So — I call my healthcare provider — who was AWESOME — and explain the situation, and right then and there she does a conference call between her, me, and the pharmacist. She talks the pharmacist step by step though everything she should have already known how to do and confirms that the prices are exactly what they should be. The pharmacist finally says«It looks like there is a secondary insurance that was holding the process up.» Um. what? There is not now, nor has there ever been, a secondary insurance. So — I’m not sure who’s insurance she thought she was applying my stuff to, but boy would they have been surprised. Yes, lesson learned, stay far, far away from this pharmacy. The rest of the store is fine, though, with a decent selection and nice cashiers. Great deals on candy and holiday merchandise for days following the event.

This store is convenient, all of the staff does an excellent job, managers are a different story, store manager needs retraining on how to deal with customers, pharmacy staff act as if I’m from another planet, with the exception of maybe one of the 4 or 5 I’ve dealt with are not very friendly, been going to this store for 8 – 10 years and I have had to call corporate two times in the past 3 months. All managers need to go to a Dale Carnegie course on how to win friends and influence people
