Tally Ho Bar & Grille

I know it is just a local dive bar, but I love this place! The only thing I’m not crazy about is the smoking.
Their wings are always a good choice. They are cooked just right. The only time I was disappointed was when I ordered the Asian flavor. A little too bland for me. I usually just go with BBQ. My husband likes the lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan mixed together. Weird combo but good. We have also had the jerk style. You can get the dry or wet rub. We prefer the wet rub.
I also enjoy the tater tots (always crisp and delish), quesadilla, cheese steak, and French dip. The steak is always well seasoned.
They also have decent priced drinks. You get a double for only a dollar more! You have to know which bartender to pick. A few of the good ones left. They have one girl who struggles to pour beer. My Guinness was extra flat when she was done. I wanted to tell her to give me the can and let me pour it myself!
This is a good place to just kick back. They also have free poker Wednesday and Thursday. I don’t play but my husband likes it.

Great place for a few drinks if you are in the neighborhood. Pool tables and the crowd is average mix of people. I didn’t try the food. Struck us as more of a bar, since ppl were smoking inside. There aren’t many choices for clean bars within a few blocks of here, so I’d say if you are local give this place a try.

Food is great but did not give it more than 3 stars because the amount of cigarette smoke permeated everything… Including the food, even if it’s for pickup. Their salads are awesome but even the freshly hard boiled egg was a little «off» due to the stench of smoke. Would love this place if they got rid of that but clearly makes people who do smoke happy!

Service was great at first but died after we received our food. The great news… the manager picked up on that immediately and was the storm trooper of service.
The drinks were inexpensive and good and the food was decent. The atmosphere was comfortable. I’ll try it again if I am in the area. My guess is it will earn another star next time.

So I finally made it to this pool hall I’ve been hearing about way in miami… and it’s lived up to the hype! The place had about 10 tables that was in good shape. They had tv’s and a full bar which is rare, because most billards halls only have beer. I went on a off night which was cool with me because I didn’t want to deal with the crowd. I tried there wings lemon pepper was the shit!!! And for the record a was getting my ass beat I ended with a 2 – 5 record.

It’s like a Sports Bar, after work meeting place and grille all mixed in one. Nice atmosphere, pool tables and lots of TV’s stratigically placed throughout. And the food IS good. Sit up at the bar or relax at one of the many tables. Chilled Jagermeister and the best chicken wings this side of 56^th St. And don’t forget, they are a certified Package Store so you don’t have to fo anywhere to get your liquor to go.
