Airport Grill. Expensive and loud. The stuff is overwhelmed.

Wednesday 1PM and the airport is quiet, our meal took forever(almost an hour) 3 of us ordered the blackened fish sandwhich which did not taste blackened. It came out luke warm and the fries were ice cold and soggy like they had been made the day before. The tomatoe in my sandwhich was all core and no tomatoe which is a big pet peve of mine, how hard is it to core a tomatoe, that is just the kitchen staff not taking any pride in there work. I would choose another options in the airport!

As our Jetblue flight was delayed by four hours due to a storm, we decided to have a bite to eat here as it was opposite our gate. I decided on a burger and beer, since you really can’t mess up a burger and a beer. They didn’t. Our server was attentive, even making a humorous comment about my Monty Python tee shirt. It was reflected in the gratuity, in a positive way.

Solid, has a tv, and is one of the only places to catch a game in this part of the airport. Bartenders aren’t bad, but didn’t like me ordering a soda. Can’t blame him. Again, solid but nothing great about it either. Actually I take that back, it has very nice golf decorations.

SUPERB Service here. I can’t believe the great service at an airport restaurant. We went in for a pre flight drink and was greeted by a super friendly staff. They had a nice selection of beers and an appropriate glass to match. Stella for stellas, tall boys for the german beer, amazing. I didn’t eat(as I was too busy drinking my flight fears away) but people next to us were having both breakfast and lunch and it looked good. What’s really cool is you can sit in the airside outside the restaurant, plug in your laptap and do your work and order food«to go» which they bring out hot and fresh to you. Amazing service. Thanks for making a difficult time so much easier

I have been to this place a few times but could not for the life of me remember the name, I have just been referring to it as «that place in the airport with the best cobb salad EVER». On my way back to Boston last night I was lucky enough to be in the right terminal and able to have the cobb salad again, it really is the best! Have been searching for one as good in Boston for about 8 months and have yet to get even close. So my rating us purely for the Cobb Sald and it is AWESOME!

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast today before he left for his manager’s meeting. While the service was great, if a bit touchy-feely(from the beginning, our waiter, who was also the bartender, kept putting his arm around my shoulders, which I thought was kind of weird, but I’m socially awkward), the food was only so-so. Initially, upon the waiter’s recommendation, I ordered the banana and vanilla, cornflake crusted french toast… it SOUNDED strange, but the waiter raved about it so I decided to try it. Bear in mind that different people have different tastes, and this looked like it was cooked fine, but I thought it was absolutely horrible! I had two bites and didn’t want anymore; there’s a strange crumbly texture on the outside, and the inside is just flavorless mush. If not for the bananas and syrup on top, it wouldn’t have tasted like anything. I really hate sending dishes back, but I absolutely did NOT want to eat another bite of this. My husband asked if I could get something else(we offered to pay for both of my dishes) and I ordered a ham and cheese omelette which was… just okay. Their omelettes are a little strange; it’s like a big sheet of eggs folded into many layers with diced ham and cheese in between. The problem was it didn’t taste like much of anything and the eggs had a weird rubbery quality to them. To top it off, my potatoes were burnt and there were smears of jam on the edge of my plate… which was kind of gross since we hadn’t USED jam at all. At that point, I didn’t bother saying anything else. Overall, it’s a nice place with a cozy atmosphere, and the servers were very friendly(especially ours who, again, despite being a little«touchy» for my tastes, was very concerned that we enjoyed our meal and that I got something I wanted), but I kind of get the idea that the whole breakfast thing is just an afterthought on the menu and doesn’t get the attention to detail that the rest of the food might. I’d recommend a seat at the bar and a few appetizers to try the food before you commit to a full meal, though.

I typically have very low expectations when eating at any restaurant in an airport. When we got into Terminal A, we had some time to waste and were hungry. Your dining options are rather limited so we fairly easily decided on Sam Snead’s. Both my wife and I started out with one of their«big» drafts. I absolutely love having draft beer in the taller type glasses(20−24oz). I don’t know what it is about the tall glass, but I love it. At $ 5.79, not a terrible price. We did not get anything to start, but we saw the waitress bring out a number of their flatbreads and they all looked very good. I opted for the Par Burger and my wife had the crab cake sandwich. My burger was seriously excellent — I was shocked. It had BBQ sauce, cheddar and jack cheese, mushrooms and onions. It was a little messy but it was delicious. My wife enjoyed her crab cake sandwich, too. Good fries also. Of course you are in an airport so you are going to pay a little more, but I didn’t think anything was obnoxiously priced. Great place to stop in and have a drink and a bite before a flight.

There’s not too many people here as lunch is just opening. Service is friendly and great here. The bartender mid-week today is very personable. I agree but expected that the prices are moderate. I wanted the wings but since I will be taking it on the flight. it might get a little messy… I’ll stick with something clean today like the Cheese Chicken and Nuts Salad. Sadly, the salad was mediocre and there wasn’t anything special with it. Basically, greens with honey mustard. I’ll keep in mind to order a few other items next time!

No one willingly flies with me because something always happens to my plane. Fortunately, this time it happened before we left – a leak in the brake fluid line – instead of in the air. Still, I was left with an extra three hours in Tampa. Enter happy hour and margaritas. By the time I boarded, I had enjoyed BOGO ritas in the terminal and was in a much better mood. The bartender was sweet, allowed me to order my second set to go, and mixed a decent airport beverage.

The best wings I’ve ever had at airport. Compared to traditional airport concourse fare, this sports bar in Terminal A is pretty darn good. The bartender was polite, quick, and friendly. Layovers are a drag, but at this place, I didn’t even mind it. Although I’m not a golf fan… with all those pluses, who cares?

If it wasn’t for the nice waiter, I’d have given it a one. First off the food was expensive of course. Second, the food was not that good. I had a veggie omelet, so bland and tasteless, it was just a hint better than cafeteria food. The coffee was ok. I will never eat there again.
