The servers are the most friendly people you would ever want to meet. You feel welcome the moment you arrive. The salmon is delightfully seasoned. And the beef is the best.

Have been here many times. I always enjoy the food and service. Without thinking we showed up and asked for a table during Easter Brunch probably one of the busiest days of the year. We did not have reservations, but the owner was very accommodating and found us a table with availability for an hour. The seafood omelette was to die for. And the mimosas were tasty. The service is out of this world. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The desserts are good but we’re always too full to eat. So we are taking home a sticky toffee.

What a fantastic place! Great food, friendly service and reasonable prices. I had the strawberry salad and my hubby the wild mushroom salmon. Both dishes were perfect This is a place nice enough for a romantic dinner and casual enough for bringing the kids(as long as they know how to behave). There is an al fresco area that is delightful during Florida winters.

Why 4 stars? Because Michael’s is a chameleon. — — — What I really like about Michael’s is that it can range from: –A place I call in a with a to-go order. –A fairly casual spot to grab a burger. –A date-night destination. Maybe it’s a product of being in Florida, where almost any restaurant can be considered casual, but Michael’s is a great hybrid. It’s far from stuffy or pretentious, but the lighting is dim, which means it’s automatically good enough for an anniversary dinner, right? My first appearance was via option #1 — a to-go order. I got the burger, and it was very solid. It was definitely a place I wanted to visit again. So I brought the fiancé for dinner shortly after. I had the strawberry fields salad with salmon, as well as some she-crab soup. It was another solid meal, without much to complain about… except one thing. My fiancé had a very similar order, and our bill ended up at $ 76 after tip. It just did not feel like a meal worth that that price tag. While we did not dislike anything we ate, it wasn’t something I’d rave to my friends as a place that everybody must visit. For $ 76, it just felt a little steep.

The fried Brie is delicious! I got the grilled chicken salad and it is amazing! Warning: portions are HUGE. might want to ask dressing on the side if you don’t like a lot of it. Overall, very good and above my expectations!

I have nothing negative to say about this place. Found it by accident and absolutely loved the experience. Taylor is the best server I’ve had in a while. Food and sangria was outstanding, I had the wild mushrooms salmon and fried zucchini as an appetizer. Looking forward to coming back for brunch.

Favorite Carrollwood spot for brunch. It’s also a great place to stop for appetizers. Crab Cakes, She Crab Bisque, and Bubble Bread never disappoint.

I was pleased with my eggs Benedict as they allowed me to special order it with seafood. My other half really missed not having vegetables in his seafood omelet. I give them a 4 for food and 5 for allowing me to have my seafood Benedict!

The food was great! We went for breakfast. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. It can be a place you come on a date or with your kids. The staff was extremely attentive and I was able to get a mimosa.

This is our favorite place to brunch in north Tampa. The food is amazing, and they have a nice little patio area outside. Weather permitting, we always sit out there; the restaurant is a bit too loud inside. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict, they’re perfect every time and the hollandaise is made from scratch.

For $ 85 this was really a terrible experience. Out of the 4 dishes we ordered, 3 were wrong. And not just a little wrong, completely wrong. My mother in law is allergic to eggs. She ordered the burger and asked them to leave off the egg because she’s extremely allergic. We said it 2x. Her burger came out with a fried egg on it. She said she wanted it well done, it was medium rare. I ordered the St. Bart’s POACHED eggs. It came out with SCRAMBLED eggs on top. My daughter ordered the kids meal with pancakes and scrambled eggs. This meal came with a drink. She got French toast and NO egg. AND the server charged us an extra $ 3.50 for her orange juice!!! That’s just the issues with the ordering. There was no manager apology, and the waitress said she normally works the night shift which is why she got everything wrong. Ok so let’s talk about the food. The poached egg was barely cooked– the yellow is supposed to be soft and runny, but the whites are supposed to be cooked. Instead I was eating a cold runny egg, and I could even send it back because my husband was already done eating since his order was the only one they did right. The croissant was soaked completely through so it was a mess. The hash browns were cold, so clearly they just used my original plate. My biscuit was heavy and floury. Yuck. My daughter said IHOPs pancakes tasted better. And I have to agree. These pancakes were not fluffy at all. They tasted like they were made with wheat flour. And the scrambled egg looked like it was made with powdered egg. The dad’s steak special tasted good but it was a total rip off at $ 24. The steak portion was tiny. For that price, we would rather go to Ruth Chris and get a real steak. Overall, it was a very disappointing Father’s Day brunch.

Oh, Michael’s…it’s been a good 4 years since my last visit and I was so sadly disappointed. For years, Michael’s was our go-to«finer-dining» restaurant in Carrollwood. We moved out of town for a couple of years, and have been meaning to visit again since moving back We were very early to a movie, so we popped into Michaels for some appetizers. We were seated immediately, but it was a good 8 minutes before the manager noticed we still hadn’t been greeted by our server. The appetizer plates on our table were dirty – not spotty, but literally filled with giant crumbs and leftover food as if they just put a clean plate over a stack of dirty plates. We were finally brought drinks(my son ordered sprite, but was brought seltzer or tonic water) and they kept pushing the«$ 3 apple fritters” – you’d think after the long wait to get our drinks, the dirty plates and bringing the wrong drink they’d have just brought us the $ 3 fritters as a peace offering.(I say the $ 3 fritters because she kept telling us what a deal they were at that price.) When our food arrived, it was as good as I remembered, but the off service left me longing for the Michael’s of old. I’ll definitely give it another chance and update my review accordingly, but this recent experience left a lot to be desired, and that makes me sad because it was one of my favorite places for so long.

This place is small and sort of quiet, but charming. Very good food with fresh ingredients. The fried brie was so yummy! And the salmon, as my entrée, was great! It came with cranberries, a marinara like sauce, and cashews. Awesome chefs. I think they change the menu every once in a while too. Can’t wait to come back and try the new stuff.

Well we came here because Unilocal listed it in the best seafood search engine. What a misleading search result. They have only 4 fish choices. We had Duck and Chicken instead. Appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was disappointingly bland bread stuffing. The Duck was a rubbery half breast with a tasty blackberry sauce. But way too much pepper seasoning as was the half mashed potatoes: wild rice would be a better pairing. The broccoli and carrot side was the best part. Chicken dish was ok. The chocolate crème brûlée was exceptional good, highly recommend. The atmosphere is nice, a little shabby but not offensive. Service was friendly and attentive. We had one glass of wine and an $ 80 bill seemed high for the quality.

I stumbled upon this place by making a wring turn. I was looking for somewhere new to eat and im so glad i found it. The dining is subdued and comfortable, you can tell this is one of those places that people love but dont want to tell everyone about lest they spoil the atmosphere. The bread was fresh and warm the service was excellent. I had the french onion soup, a dish that has so many ways to make it. It was pretty good, a little too much cheese for my taste but good non the less. The mail course was recommended to me by the waitress and it didn’t disappoint. The crusted tuna was the highlight of my meal. Excellent I will defiantly be back

Really had forgotten this little hidden gen and recently returned to meet some friends. I immediately remembered why I liked this place so much. Besides being warm & inviting it is not overbearing. The casual ambiance, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the she crab bisque and strawberry fields salad. The soup has a real depth of flavor and is full of crab. The salad is a beautiful mix of greens with strawberries in a balsamic tart, yet well rounded dressing. Overall a very pleasant and tasty meal. I will remember it and return soon. What’s a girl to do? So many restaurants, so little time.
