I follow this place around Tampa!!! I love their food !! All of it is well with the money. Very inexpensive and a great value. Well worth tracking down to taste this delicious food.

Kind Grinds was at my office today, I knew that i wanted to try it. I had the Chicago Lee and I added pork belly for a dollar more. I would have paid 3 dollars more! I thought it was delicious. My dish was spicy and sweet and the pork belly was cooked to perfection. I will find this truck again.

Kind Grinds is a delicious and unique food truck in the Tampa Bay area. I had tried Kind Grinds in sample form at the Taste of the Heights. I knew I wanted to try more and was excited to see that they would be at a food truck rally held at my office today. I’m certainly glad I went back. I ordered the Bangkok Boogie with chicken. This is a spicy dish with a lot of flavor. It comes with a heaping portion of rice and Asian greens. For a price of $ 8, I couldn’t even finish the whole thing. The day that I went to Kind Grinds it was mostly rice and meat dishes of this nature and I’m excited to try more. Kind Grinds is opening a brick and mortar restaurant called Chop Chop Shop in Seminole Heights. Dining at Kind Grinds today only furthered my excitement for this new restaurant to open in my neighborhood. Can’t wait to see what they will have to offer!

This food truck was in front of USF Health today and I decided to give them a try. I ordered the Miso Love Love with Chicken. The Miso Love Love is a creamy miso coconut sauce that is on top of your choice of chicken, pulled pork or pork belly. It was served over rice and had a side of asian greens. The asian greens looked to be chinese broccoli and was topped with a sesame paste-like sauce and sesame seeds. Surprisingly, this was my favorite part. I wish it came with more. The chicken was very flavorful also and the portion size was good. Total was $ 8 for the meal. There were a lot of great options and I feel like I played it safe today. I want to try the other, spicy sauces next time. I usually stay away from asian fusion food trucks because the food is usually not as authentic and portions are small. But Kind Grinds was an exception! As mentioned before, the portion size was just right and there was a lot of chicken. It tasted like something I would order at an asian restaurant. The people on the food truck were also very friendly and patient with me as I took a little longer deciding what to order. I saw on their Facebook that they will be opening a restaurant space soon in Seminole Heights. I might venture over there once they open.

My friend and I came here for lunch. I had the Piggy. The pork was super flavorful, and the portion size was more than adequate. The accompanying rice and sides were cooked well. The flavor was a bit unexpected, but the sesame sauce-basted greens were very good and had a nice combo of sweet-savory flavors. I am definitely looking forward to trying more stuff in the future.

I tried Kind Grinds a few times in the last year — once at MOSI’s Einstein Food & Wine Fest and recently at the Summer of Rum Festival — one of their regular spots is in Downtown Tampa though. I only had a sample at the Einstein Festival, but at the Summer of Rum Festival I tried their Miso Love Love Chicken with coconut rice and it was DELICIOUS. My friend and I shared the large portion which was more than enough food for us and loved every last bite. The food truck has a variety of things on the menu from Korean to Japanese cuisine, the chef is actually also Korean and Japanese and I’m looking forward to trying more things in the future. Their truck is small and still in the growing stages so it needs as much local support as it can get so give Kind Grinds a shot sometime if you see them somewhere. Like most local food trucks in Tampa, Facebook is your best bet for finding their schedule.
