Food Truck Wars couldn’t pick a more perfect day to have this venue. Overcast skies, low humidity, and a great time of day to hop in the car alone, with the family and even bring alone the fur babies and head behind Grand Central at Kennedy. 50 gourmet food trucks of all types, sizes, shapes & colors serving all sorts of international culinary delights. The layout was easy to follow almost like going up and down the grocery isle format which made it to note every truck there on the case like me you like to see what is all there to eat, then weigh your options on what sounded or looked most intriguing and head back. At each end of the venue there are numerous tables to sit and enjoy your eats. There was a stage prepared for live music, but the timeframe I was there the music from the stage was DJ/Emcee. Each truck was issued cards for customers to vote on menu item that stood out from the rest. These votes would be tallied an hour prior to the event closing. At the end of my seefood journey, my vote went to hometown fave with their creation of the bourbon mango pulled pork sandwich by the Wicked Wiches food truck for the peoples choice award. I look forward to this annual event next year. Perfect time of day and year, perfect location for this venue.
