Good place to stop for a drink. We ventured in because they had live music playing on a Sunday afternoon, doors invitingly open, and football on every screen they had. No idea on food as we didn’t have any.

Eh. It’s basically just a bar with some tables. The music was live and incredibly loud. The waitress forgot my drink (twice, even after being reminded). Their menu has changed over time and their food is okay. I had a burger which was pretty good, but the rest of it was just meh.
I probably would go in here just to grab a really quick bite to eat and a drink if I were in town– but the street/​town has so much more to offer.

Only there for one appetizer and two beers. Solid local beer selection (TTBS, 4 Cigar City, 2 Motorworks, Cycle), and their conch fritters were the best I ever had.
From past experienced, their wings are the bomb-​diggety, and their Burgers are really good. Very good coconut fried shrimp and chicken.
This was NYE, early (about 6:30 PM), and the live guitar player was really good.
Downsides: Service systems not the best, and their bathrooms are not the cleanest.

Now the sauce on the stinky is a watered down A1 knock off…
Service was awful and the drinks were poured to the point where you cringe. There’s much better options than this within 5 miles

We come and we wait over 15 minutes to be served. Then the girl (blonde long bob, was in a referee suit) comes and serves us, very short and not sweet. We order. Then a while later I request a drink again and she takes my order. I decide to not tip her since she was rude and not hospital at All. She then proceeds to tell me to «have a great fucking night» and keeps hackling me to leave the bar, I was APPALED. I get kicked out because I didnt tip? I’m a bartender myself!!! I finally tell her she is a bitch and that why I don’t tip her and she kicks me out. I never was disorderly or out of control. I was simply a nice patron who was abused. I will NEVER COME BACK HERE. And will tell everyone this place is HORRIBLE. I talked to a «manager» and she handled nothing! Just kept saying «well Jen is a manger so we can’t really do angthing» if your manager is treating people like that then they should be fired.

The food here is consistently good. The atmosphere is too loud for my taste on the weekends, which is why I usually go see Karen at lunch time during the week. UNFORTUNATELY for the weekday afternoon clientele, today is Karen’s LAST DAY at the GI; sub-​sequentially, mine, too, as she, with her great sense of humor and friendly yet professional attitude, really is the reason I choose GI over other restaurants in the area.

I came into your business on 10⁄15 around 3:00 for happy hour. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio house wine and the bartender informed she was out. I told her I would do a beer instead until she said never mind I have some. The glass she gave me had dirty fingerprints all over it and was not at all a full glass. When I got my bill she charged me 9.50 for the glass. I asked her why and she stated remember I told you I didn’t have any? My friend sitting next to me confirmed that’s not at all what she originally said because I would have ordered a beer. I travel all over the US and don’t even pay that much in NYC for a half glass of wine. We waited 20 minutes for her to come over and give us our ticket to leave and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom at all. We come to ybor once a week and won’t be returning here. Very dirty and rip off.

Went here for happy hour with a group of friends & ordered the white sangria which was listed under «white wines». The menu clearly stated that the wines were half off & our waitress even told us that everything in the wine section was included in the deal.
The drink was very good, it came in a huge glass and was filled with a lot of fruit. My friend’s Long Island on the other hand was completely watered down. But as it came down to pay, I noticed that the white sangria was being charged full price. I asked the waitress why that was & explained to her that it was clearly listed under wine which was half off. She talked to her manager and we were refused the discount. Customer service was extremely poor and I was very disappointed.

This will be a short and sweet review.
I enjoy the atmosphere. The staff is nice.
That being said it takes forever for your food to come out, its a bit over priced and I don’t think the kitchen staff pays much attention.
Every time I ask for medium rare I get burnt or over cooked. I also got wax paper in a burger once and ended throwing the entire thing away.
Will not go back.

This staple of Ybor Always has good food. However, where it truly shines is with its choice of servers… in particular the bartenders. They, are some of the best around and are empowered by some of the best drink specials known to man. In particular both Jeannine and Ryan are the beacons of light which continually bring me back to this oasis. Ryan is smart enough to relate to anyone and yet still serve everyone quickly.
While at first glance you might think Jeannine is there as eye candy. However, quickly you realize shes perhaps the captain of this ship and runs it smoothley no matter how busy, while Ryan effortlessly serves you drinks.

I went here with some coworkers because they said this place makes a pretty good Bloody Mary. I had a sip of someone’s and I thought it was just ok.
They serve food here, which is great because they have great drink specials. The food was typical bar food. Chicken fingers, fries, burgers. I don’t know if I’d eat here because we sat at the bar and it was pretty sticky. Either it hadn’t been cleaned recently or it was part of the «character» of the place. The beer selection was pretty good so I just ordered beer instead of a cocktail. I know my coworker ordered a rum and coke and said it was pretty strong. I saw her make the next round and I figured it was strong because the bartender looked like she was definitely pouring on the heavier side. This is typically a good thing for some people but it was a Tuesday evening so we were a few days before the need to get hammered.
It was A-​OK.

Good food, great atmosphere, but less-​than service. Had to remind the hostess that we had been sat as nobody came to our table. Then the waitress messed up our order two times. She was also quite slow.

Ambiance 4 stars. Burgers 4 stars. Fries were like the crinkle cut frozen ones from the store. These can be good but they were undercooked. Overall $ 40 wuth drinks for dinner. I’m sure there are better places around but this is a decent cheap option.

I spent my younger years at this bar watching live bands, and drinking dollar beers on Wednesdays. Besides that, they serve food, sure, but why would anyone eat here with so many amazing options right down, or across the street? I’ve gotta be pretty hard up for a meal to consider eating here ever again, everything is just a big fat MEH. Tons of fun thoe. Great bar, great scene, but the food, well, it’s mediocre bar food on a strip that doesn’t play mediocre bar food!

Took too long for the bartender to acknowledge me in an empty bar. Literally 6 other people sitting here.
That said, drink is reasonably strong (got the spiked lemonade, and I’ve never had one made with tequila-​usually it’s vodka or whiskey). A bit pricey at more than $ 8, but it is after happy hour so probably typical.
I like that the front wall opens completely to the outside for circulation and for people watching (like Bad Monkey, where I just left).
Don’t know how it compares to other Green Iguanas in the chain, but this is as good a bar as any to stop in a ybor.

I like the food at Green Iguana. Ever since I have moved to Tampa, it has been a happy hour hot spot for me. Their burgers are good but my personal favorite is the buffalo chicken wrap. They also have great beer specials.
As for this particular location, it is a great place to go out and watch live music at night. As for dining, it is ok. I have never had a particularly great or a particularly poor experience. Definitely a good spot for bar food when you are not in a rush.
