Very good food and service! The gyro is good, the amount of meat they put on there is more than enough. The chicken kabob plate is a very good portion as well. Everything tastes good. I have been there twice already and will definitely be returning.

This place has one of the biggest, best gyros that I’ve ever had! Delicious French fries. Also the best, kindest service in downtown. He gave us a little piece of free falafel and it was to die for. Don’t bother going to Acropolis, come here for sure. Thanks again for the excellent food and service

This place is a winner! Taking over from Kurdi’s the prior name for it, has become exactly what I want in a semi-sit down sorta fast food restaurant. Let’s start with the staff, they are knowledgable about the food, friendly and seem to really care about working there. I can’t stress how important that is to enjoying eating and supporting a place! Now the food, I’ve been here multiple times and had delivery. It’s quick and so tasty. They give you plenty of food for your money. There’s a house hot sauce that is sooooo on point! Get the mixed grill plate and enjoy a huge order of well done everything! Ok I take it back, the French fries are to die for!!! Seriously the best fries I’ve ever had

Tried this place based on Unilocal reviews. Gyro was tasty, baklava delicious, and the Mediterranean plate was divine! Like 6 different types of meat, all tender, juicy and flavorful. The service was excellent. Try it.

I’m incredibly surprised at the high rating for this place. I’m not from Tampa, so I can’t compare this place to others in the area; however, in comparison to what I’m used to, the food was very disappointing. I ordered a hummus appetizer and the fattoush salad. The hummus(or perhaps the pita bread) tasted bitter! I only took a couple of bites and couldn’t eat anymore. I normally absolutely love hummus! The fattoush salad simply wasn’t as flavorful as I’m normally used to, with the veggies cut in large pieces. Also, the salad base was iceberg lettuce, which is typically a sign of a lower quality restaurant in my books. The pita chips were fried(as opposed to baked) and were way too oily in flavor. I ended up wasting most of my food. I wouldn’t recommend this place and will definitely be staying far away next time I’m in town.

An important tip first. The address is wrong. Actually, the address is correct but it is not where it should be. The restaurant is located on the corner of E. Polk St. and N. Tampa St. I have no idea why the The address is listed as Being on Ashley. That said, looking for this restaurant is worth it. It is certainly a small place but the falafel sandwich and the Chicken Schwarma were both good. Pleasant personnel and clean surroundings. This is not fancy but certainly was adequate for us after a long drive.

Excellent gyro for lunch. Very generous serving of meat and toppings. Soft and hot pita with fresh lettuce, onions, and tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you when it’s done. I was the only customer there early on a Saturday afternoon and I quickly got my order. There is outdoor seating in addition to the indoor, and the outdoor has umbrellas. The sidewalk is on a fairly busy step rest but it was still nice to enjoy the beautiful April weather while dining.

Update a review? Why? Well… because we found our favorite spot to eat. Beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, baklava, whatever… it’s just a great place. 4 times to this place…4 times we enjoyed ourselves. Chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, beef shish kabob sandwich, and lamb burger.

We enjoyed super nice service and very tasty meals at this hidden locale in downtown Tampa. The Biryani rice takes meals up a notch and I’d highly recommend it. Go with the mixed grill and you can try every grilled meat they offer!

There are few options for Mediterranean cuisine in Tampa; therefore, I was excited to try this resturant. We ordered the chicken schwarma plate, beef gyro sandwich, and the homemade stuffed grapeleaves. Everything was good and reasonably priced. My only concerns the lack of seasoning on the gyro meat and the pitas were average. Still for Tampa this is 4 stars.

We have a quick dinner before the concert. When we walk into the restaurant, the food smell is over the entire dining room even they have high ceiling. Today special is the chicken Tawek with Biryani rice. The chicken is marinated with good flavor. The Biryani rice is good enough may be top five in the restaurant I have tried. We also order the falafel. The falafel did live up to the restaurant name. They have a good falafel. Not too dry and great mixture of flavors. The Mediterranean Mixed Grilled dish include all different grill meat of they serve. I believe they have pre-grill these items to reduce the wait time of the customers. However, the meat is a bit dry. This may be the area to improve. Overall the restaurant is counter order and will bring to the table. The interior design is very modern and contemporary. I like the comfortable furniture. They need to improve to ventilate the food smell that trap in the dining hall.

We had Med grill — the combination of shish, chicken, kefta kabob, beef & chicken shawama, rice and salad. The meat was flavorful and the salad was fresh. The falafel balls were crunchy and tasted good. I tried the baklava. It was good dessert, not too sweet and wet. The interior deco was pretty, new and comfortable. The pricing was reasonable.

My friend and I came here because Mediterranean food is probably my absolute favorite so I knew I had to try the newest restaurant in downtown Tampa. The place is pretty hard to find. The door is off in the back. As soon as I walked in the staff greeted me with a smile. There were samples out because it was the day of their ribbon cutting ceremony, the samples we’re a bit hard because of being sat out for a few hours post ceremony, not a huge deal though since they were free. I got the Fattoush Salad, which was simple(your basic salad, cucumber, peppers and onions with balsamic dressing) but still fresh and tasty. Along with the grape leaves, which are a fav of mine and delicious. I had a sample of their Baklava and it tasted very very similar to Baklava I’ve had in Greece. I will definitely be returning to try the other items on the menu.

I had one of the best customer services experiences while I was here this week. My friend wanted to treat me for my birthday so we decided to do Mediterranean and ended up in Falafel inn. Upon hearing that it was my birthday the owner tried to make it an extra special experience by using their nice ceramic plates. She also treated me to some complimentary baklava as my «birthday cake.» She went out of her way to make it such a memorable visit. I am truly grateful for it. Besides the great service the food was spectacular. It was my first time trying their baklava and its probably the best I’ve had so far. :) will be back!

Excellent service. Delicious food. Low prices. Lots of food for great value. I ordered the Med Grill for variety. The location is perfect relative to where I live. It was my first time and the owners showed my friend and me lots of hospitality.

After playing at the park, we decided to try this place for lunch. I’m glad we did! This is an excellent place to get a semi-healthy bite to eat without breaking the bank. I had a gyro and it was pretty good. The service was excellent, and the place was spotless. The menu has a good selection of different items to choose from. It’s centrally located downtown, so that is pretty handy if you’re in the area, but if you’re driving & looking for a quick bite to eat, parking can be a problem/expensive. If there’s a secret to cheap/free parking downtown, I have not found it yet. If you’re in the mood for a Mediterranean treat, this is a good place to go. I had a quick and delicious lunch!

Falafel Inn Grill took over the spot in Skypoint where Kurdi’s was. My expectations were kinda low based on the bad name/logo and because I was a fan of Kurdi’s. However, Falafel Inn Grill exceeded my expectations. I dropped in to check it out and to pick up a takeout menu and was greeted with a nice smile from the lady working there(owner?). The prices were very good($ 5 – 10 range, only one plate more than that) and I was happy to see that they didn’t change the interior too much. I returned the same week and ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich($ 6.99). The large sandwich comes tightly wrapped in paper so the juices won’t cause a mess on you. Although it tasted and looked great; my one complaint was that the chicken had a sawdust flavor to it which probably is a result of it being overcooked. Just a heads up to the grillmaster to be aware of that. The fries were great though. They have a wide selection, from burgers to gyros to sandwiches and all the classic Mediterranean plates. Definitely a place I’ll put on the dinner rotation as the prices remain the same throughout the day and free parking downtown at night.

A bit tricky to find, as the entrance at 777 Ashely is actually for SkyPoint Condos, and the front door is locked. Fortunately, someone was entering the building at the time, and told me the entrance to the restaurant was on the opposite side of the building. They have what I consider to be a standard Mediterranean menu — gyros, shish kabob, shawarma, etc. with all the basic salads of hummus, baba ganouj, taboule, etc. They carry the thin, flat, paper-like pita, not the fluffy, bready ones. The front counter is directly across from the front doors. Plenty of tables are available inside to the right of the front doors, however, since I ordered the vegetarian platter to go, I just grabbed a seat at one of their outside tables. They were very accommodating and substituted grape leaves for the eggplant, as I have never acquired a taste for baba ganouj. In addition to the grape leaves, the platter had two falafel balls, hummus, a small bit of rice, and what they call Jerusalem salad. Everything was very flavorful, although I wasn’t a fan of their Jerusalem salad — it seemed to be mostly cucumbers bits with a few diced tomatoes all soaked in tahini. Pita wrapped in saran was served on the side. I will definitely be back to give other items on the menu a try — I’m very happy that this place is close to me!
