Strange little place. I walked in, looked around, just saw one guy eating but I heard people talking in the kitchen. So I picked a table and just sat there. A girl in her 20s comes out with her two kids, looks at me but says nothing. Then an older lady(her mother) comes out, just looked at me, doesn’t say anything. A few min later, older guy(owner/husband/father of younger lady) comes out, notices me but didn’t say anything to me at first. At this point, I wondered if the place is open. He then realized that maybe he should give a menu to me. He asked what I wanted to drink and I got the mango juice, which was fresh and tasted good. I wanted the tallarin verde but he said I couldn’t get it and pointed at the things he could make on the menu. So I got the lomo saltado. It was good, not great. Large portion, price was right, average wait time. He came back to check up on me, I chatted him up about how long he’s been in business(3 years), etc. Somewhat surprising to me. During my dinner, his grandkids were running amok in the restaurant and other strange activity took place but I won’t get into that. The whole experience was quite unusual and I wouldn’t return. The food itself I would give 3.5 stars but as a whole, for my experience, 2 is an appropriate rating.

I’m from Peru and I have to say this place has every flavor your looking for on a peruvian dish. I ate the«pollada» with a side salad and potatoes. The spices in the chicken brought me back home to my roots, something no other Peruvian restaurant has done that yet. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. I live in south Tampa, too bad this little gem is 30m away. If not, I will definitely be there every week.
