Typical Dive Bar! The menu has all your fried favorites, and the drinks are cheap.

This place is gross, can hardly breathe over the stifling cigarette smoky air. I’m a girl and even if I dress casual and not flashy at all I get leered at non-​stop. I love dive bars, but this is just a filthy place that happens to serve alcohol.

It has taken a while for me to get around to reviewing Bilmar, but I must say that this place is fantastic. The draft beer selection is impressive with rotating drafts featuring many seasonal and craft selections. If you are looking for something a tad bit more exotic the bottled beer selection house something for pretty much anyone, including ciders and limited releases. The wings at Bilmar are stellar and I believe the best in Tampa, and if you are a fan of spicy, the house made nuclear sauce is wonderful and is the perfect complement to the homemade Blu cheese. Overall the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and is very much a fun place to watch a game or spend a night catching up with friends. I give Bilmar Station 5 very deserved stars.

Great place for a drink and making new friends. Cheap strong drinks and decent food. Great bartenders. Thus may be a dive, but it’s my dive :)

If you can’t handle second hand smoke or find it disgusting then Billmar isn’t the place for you. It’s a real smoky bar and a friend of mine had to walk out because he couldn’t deal with it. Having said that, this is a really good Buffalo Wild Wing alternative if you prefer non-​chain local places like do. I’m not a hater of B-​Dubs as much as I am corporate-​type franchises that all look the same no matter where ya’ go and offer the same overpriced food + drinks.
Bilmar is a divvy throwback sports bar for people who like good bar food, strong drinks and sports.
It’s smoky but like I said, this is an old school sports bar where that’s allowed. A guy lit up a cigarette right beside me and about half the other patrons were smoking as well. You rarely see that nowadays… only in Wild West movies! No biggie for me, 2^nd hand cigarette smoke doesn’t bother me one bit (I think the dangers on that are a little overblown) however more sensitive people might not be able to take it. My grandmother used to smoke like a fish in front on me when I was little so I’ve built up an immunity to it, in fact it gives me a sense of nostalgia.
There are plenty of TVs for you to watch any game. Ask the bartender to change the channel if you walk in and your game isn’t on. They have a remote for every television, however, a few aren’t in HD.
I came here because some other people wrote that the wings were surprisingly good here. They didn’t disappoint. They were super juicy + flavorful. Plus, they don’t skimp you on the dipping sauce, where had huge chunks of blue cheese in it.
The cost is more than reasonable: 10 wings for $ 8 or 15 for $ 11 is pretty damn good! That’s not their happy hour menu but their regular price and most other similar places that offer wings charge at least $ 3 more than that.
Draft beer selection… adequate. They have about 20 different choices with a nice mix of your standard domestics and local breweries. Nothing fancy but you’ll find something you like.
Most of their clientele includes die-​hard loyal Rays and Lightening sports fan who know the bartenders by name. Everyone is cool and relaxed, unless the TB Lightening score a goal on a power play.
Every Wednesday is karaōke night. Service was fine. Good was good. It looks sketchy from the outside but I think this is a pretty legit small sports bar in West Tampa.

I’ve been going to this bar for a few years now. It made Tampa’s top 40 bars this year! Grilled cheese and barrels or the nuclear weeks are the favorites within our group. The staff is awesome! Love Ashley and joe! Fooseball, darts, video games, touch screen juke box, and karaōke Wednesday nights!

We went here for pre-​gaming prior to hitting up the round house. The guys working the place are probably the most friendliest I’ve encountered at a bar so far. They were really attentive and even small things, like thanking us for leaving, calling is by our names, and telling us to stay when we checked out our tab, really makes a difference. And their wings were probably one of the best I’ve had in Florida so far. It’s not super close to my house, but I definitely wanna go there next time I’m in the mood for some good food and beer.

Wings are cool. The place is dumpy. Service is pretty good. Jokingly told my friend I will bring a personal air purifier next time I come. If they have an outdoor seating I would be back for sure. Got a sore throat afterwards — the smoke was that thick!

This by far is my favorite dive bar in tampa! Ashley and Joe (bartenders) are extremely friendly and fun. The owner is extremely involved in his business and takes pride in his bar. Now the food… The best chicken wings I have EVER had. They have tons of different sauces to try the wings in and also they make their own blue cheese (which is to die for!) I go frequently so I’ve had a lot of their food on their menu and I have not had one bad item. Another great choice for food is their fish and chips. Bilmar does not skimp on the portions! They have specials everyday of the week too which makes this place extremely affordable. Sunday and Monday are hospitality night 25% off your tab if you are in the biz! If you are in the area and are looking for a low key sports bar, I highly recommend this place. Between the food, service and specials this place is my go to for some good food and drinks!

Aside from feeling like I walked into a box full of lit cigarettes, I think that it is a pretty cool dive bar. It is a very unassuming place from the outside and I wouldn’t have given it a second thought (since you can’t see in from the outside) if I wasn’t specifically looking for the place.
The inside is surprisingly larger than I had expected and for those who are there to «have a couple of games with their drinks», there has to be 12 or more televisions for your viewing pleasure. As you would expect, there is sport paraphernalia all over the walls and a cool mural or two. I like the décor and ambiance (sans the perfume of yesterday’s cigarettes).
My party of 2 ventured in this past Sunday and arrived just in time for the 1 o’clock games — the place was pretty much empty so I decided that I could brave the depraved air and stay awhile. We were immediately greeted by Ashley and she was on it – She ran down the specials for the day and got the drinks going. After sampling a few items on tap, We started with an order of mozzarella sticks. They were pretty average, about what you would expect from the average box-​n-​bake variety at your local grocer. Next we ordered the 15 wings; I took my half hot with a side of nuclear sauce. Hey, they told me it was hot so I was hesitant to have my wings coated. In the end, the sauce was very good and I almost regret not having the sauce put directly on them… but the combination of the two different sauces (plus ranch) was pretty tasty.
As time went on, more folks came in to watch the games and after the 4^th smoker (or so) blazed up, I couldn’t handle it. Sadly, I had to leave. For as long as I could stay in there, I enjoyed my time, received good, attentive service and I thought the décor was cool. So I give it a 4 stars. Thanks to the Unilocalers that put this place on the map.

Bilmar is just another smoky dive bar with all the essentials for having a good time. Pin ball machines, dart boards, Mrs. Pac-​Man, karaōke and lots of booze. They also have food and usually serve until damn near closing. On Thursdays, a slightly smaller version of their normal $ 8 burger is a featured special for only $ 2. This is a smoking bar, so don’t even walk up in there if you’ve got a respiratory problem. And fully expect that your clothes will smell like shit when you leave. Ladies, yes you’re going to need to wash your hair the next day to get the smoky smell out.
Last time I stopped in, some schmo walked up to me and said these exact words, «Hey man, you don’t know me, but my name is B-​Real from Indiana. I just wanna let you know that what ever you need, I have. I won’t be here long. I’ll be back over there, but whatever you need, I’ve got.» True story.
All-​in-​all, it’s a fine dive bar, but doesn’t compare to Dagwood’s up the street, which holds the title for ‘Best Shithole Bar in TNC.’ My only real issue with the joint is that there aren’t pool tables.

Couldn’t breathe in here at all! Really stuffy with cigarette smokes. other than that, friendly people, great relaxing music. Wouldn’t mind coming back at all :)

Great dive bar, but I have to take a star away because of the smokey atmosphere. I get the wings which are the best in the area. Guy style is the way to go with a side of ranch and nuclear sauce mixed together. I go in just to pick up wings for a few minutes and I leave with my clothes smelling like stale smoke and that is even when no one is even in the bar but me.

Sometimes we end up here on a weekend. The bar is can be really smokey but drink prices aren’t too bad. They have alright pretty good bar food. It’s a little brighter than I would prefer in there. Good local real bar to meet up with people. Bar tender are friendly.

I wandered in here just because it was there and I could. What a great time! If your a people watcher, you have a 360 degree view, and what a view it is.
I agree definitely a dive bar, but no complaints on that fact. The fact that it is a dive bar earned it its stars. If you want to play games, go for your choice and pretend you are doing some indoor camping.
You gotta love this place and you have to love that they know how to pour a great dive drink, a nice heavy pour.
If you want to be alone, no problem, folks will leave you alone. If you feel like a side of socializing with your drink, you don’t have to look far to find a fellow dive bar participant to have an opinion.
Ambiance, is almost what you’d expect, if you ever knew what to expect from a dive bar.
What’s a girl to do? Pull up a stool and sit a spell, while enjoying the ever changing view around you.

What a fun, dirty dive! This must be the only place in town that has a corn hole video game. I have been haunting this place for quite a while at this point. I know you can get a 2.00 beer if you are ok with drinking straight gasoline, and I like that that’s an option. They have acceptable wings at fair prices. Would I say this is a destination? Probably not if you are over the age of 22, but it’s great for people watching, and no denying the service is friendly. Scaraoke? Yes please!

One way to sum up this bar, the best chicken wings ever and the cheapest alcohol prices! This is a typical dive bar that tends to be crowded and very smokey. They’ve got bar games inside (darts etc), a jukebox, bunch of TV’s and a great staff.

The Bilmar is the best dive bar in all of Tampa. It boasts a huge following of regulars. The fiancée and I have been frequenting Bilmar for 2+ years now. If you are going to have some food here, try the Bilmar or Turkey club. They are massive. The wings are really good too. Try them «Guy Style». Great for watching sports. This a smoking establishment so you will leave smelling like a dive bar. But thats what makes it the Bilmar.

I love this bar! I have been coming here for years. If you like dive bars then this is your place. The drinks are strong and the beer is cold. For food I would only go with the chicken wings. The nuclear wings are very flavorful and very HOT.
You can play everything form darts to corn hole here. The only thing they don not have is a pool table. Great for watching the game too. They have a lot of big flat screens.
